this call from number came at midnight tried calling no answer

I received a call from this no. and although I don't ordinarily answer numbers which I don't know, I did this time, because I had listed a horse for sale.  The man asked for my son by name, and because I thought that it might be one of his patients, I asked him what it was concerning, and the guy hung up.  It is obviously a scammmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.  and we sure need those, don't we?
We used to think of the telephone as a real convenience and time saver, but now it is starting to be a bit of an aggrevation.

This number shows every couple of days on my call display.  Obviously it is not an important call or there would be a message on my voice mail.  Looking at the list I see that this number had previously belonged to a business.  Since recalling the number gets you a message saying that the number has been disconnected, it is obvious that someone has hijacked the number to make illicit calls.  Just don't answer.  It is definitely a scumbag scammer.  I am tired of these bums making these bogus calls and interrupting our lives.  Someday these idiots will get their dues.

Caller called to speak to Rick. He called at 10:30 am Edmonton time.
No rerason for the call and when asked who was calling he said Harry Walker called.
Strange call and no reason for the call was given.
Call back to the number advised the number was out of service.

This number keeps calling?  We let it go to "voice mail".  If it was important, they would leave a message - but they never do?  I'm sure it is someone trying to waste our time?   Just one more reason to "screen calls"!

We received a rude call from a man at this number, barking demands to speak with the householder. When we said the person in question was not home, he hung up. On calling them back the next day, we got an automated response, saying that the number has bene disconnected.
