Ask for their badge number, they tried to get me last year and I had a police officer call them and act like they were me to try and get a location to mail them the money order.    Have a lawyer call if not the police dept.     GOOD LUCK!

Someone from this number called me, asked for a person who wasn't here and when I said he had a wrong number just stayed on the line not saying anything. I said hello a number of times but he said nothing but stayed on the line...I hung up.

I am sick and tired of scammers. There are so many, working together. Here are few to watch out for Patrick Bell, Adam Scott, Alex,Officer Bradking.  Two numbers these people used (305-507-1513 & 416-971-2222). Also, a guy named Eric Thomas as well ( 646-571-3386) From same dept. just a different number.

Don't fall for it, they can't take you to jail, like they say. Its a fraud. PLEASE IF SOMEONE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS DO IT. I want to know how do they get your social security number, I dont understand it, I thought that it was supposed to be protected, now I guess anyone can get it..

They all said they were from New York, but one numer belongs to Miami Florida, I think Ohio, so just hang up on them. I have an android app called Mr. Number, it will block private and unknown calls. Don't put up with this crap.

I have my phone number registered with donotcall.gov and I am still getting calls from 416-971-2222.   I have not yet answered the phone when I see this number and no messages are being sent.  When I saw the area code was Toronto, I knew it was no one that I wanted to to talk to.  I do not live or know anyone in Toronto.

The "your daughter kicked my dog and I'm calling the police" is not so much a scam as a soundboard prank, usually by teenagers.  I got it a couple of weeks ago and friends wised me up.  Here's a link to that one and others:

I started receiving calls this AM, from this # and the ones I will list below. They just kept calling. I did not answer until I could research #'s. Thanks for everyones info. I finally answered, cursed, I do believe multiple times, heard some heavy accent but they didn't get chance to talk. Told them to stop scamming and calling.

i get these stupid calls all the time. I just got to the point I would like i couldn't hear them. They eventually slowed down, i wasn't getting 12 calls an hour back to back. I added them to my auto reject list so i never get bothered by them

I just saw this same number calling on my caller ID at work (Utah).  I didn't answer because I was in a meeting.  They called twice but didn't leave a message.  Glad I found this website!

I have gotten 20 calls from this number in the last 2 days.  Someone said they were calling from Nation something, could hardly speak English much less pronounce my name correctly.

This number continues to call me and have been for months. Today, they left a message. It was some man speaking some other language so I have no idea what he said!!!

A year and a half ago, I was getting these kinds of phone calls from a variety of different phone numbers and the numbers were coincident with a number of nasty pms and vulgar invitations from a number of characters on Tribe:

The phone/Tribe.net harassment lasted until early summer when it, unexplainably and abruptly ended.

Earlier this year, the same coincidental events started up again:  phone calls from strange people demanding strange things for no apparent reason, one phone number being this one, 416-971-2222, and simultaneous harassment from a different set of characters, one (three?) of which claimed to be lawyers:

The above claims to ?know? that the three psuedo-lawyers listed above are actually lawyers although, when pressed, (s)he can?t come up with a state bar association membership for any or a school and grad date from law school.

Not that this observation makes it any easier to find/prosecute these knuckle draggers, but being aware of a possible connection might make it easier to protect yourselves.  Be aware of who you are tied to online ? some of those so-called ?friends? might be thieves working on trying to separate you from yours.  Don?t advertise what you have and don?t have, don?t share names/ages of your family (especially children and grandchildren), and never disclose your location.

BTW, you know that these goons have to have a US connection somewhere within the legal jurisdiction.  Has anyone investigated the possibility, now in our post-911 world, of finding these punks? connections and prosecuting them under the Patriot Act?

I got 3 calls back to back from this number. When I would answer there was nobody on the line. The forth call I received should up on my caller ID as ?911? when I answered a man claiming to be an officer from the sheriffs department where I live (there is no sheriff?s department where I live) and told me I was used as a reference on a loan from a mutual friend and there was a warrant for her arrest for defaulting on this loan. He also claimed there was also a warrant for my arrest for being used as a reference. I told him to contact this mutual friend and give her the message himself. He then got irritated with all my attitude and lack of responses and hung up, but not before telling me she would be arrested within 2 hours.  I contacted my friend who called the local police department and there was no warrant for her arrest. At the same time I was receiving these calls so was she from a different phone number. This same man left a message on her voice mail stating that she would now be arrested on Monday, instead of Friday. It totally makes since that the police department would give you a heads up that you were going to be arrested and then wait till after the weekend to do so.  What a bunch of BS. Isn?t impersonating an officer illegal in all states? Jerk.

I rec'd 11 calls yesterday from this person - some were blocked, some not. I have rec'd 3 today. The accent is too thick to understand everything said, but the part that I could understand is regarding the person representing themself as law enforcement, or an attorney. They have been told repeatedly to stop calling, and continue to do so. They refuse to tell me who they are representing or what the call is in reference to. They simply demand that I make arrangements to give them $750.00 or they will ruin my credit, or sue me, or have me arrested. I wish I knew how to make this stop.

they do that alot if you work at banks..  what thye do is find out what copier you have and ship 4000.   worth of merchandise that goes along with your copier.  just another scammm!!!!

Received a call but didn't answer it......ever since I filled out this stupid online loan app, I've been getting calls from lots of different places.  My concern is...what kind of info do they have on me?  I saw where some people say they've received calls at work and that these people say they have their ss numbers.   Just unsettling.

got a call from this number saying someone put money in my bank and i failed to pay it back now I am pending a lawsuit.  He had all my information.  I told him to take me to court because I have a great defense attorney and I will counter sue him in court.  Has anyone had the same type of calls.  Who do I report this to?

Hi, I received a call from this number.  It was an India guy with a English name, ha, right away, doesn't add up.  Then he says that he has a legal document for a lawsuit that has been filed against me and asked if the police had called me yet.  I told him to f*** off because I've dealt with his type before and it's bogus.  He then threatened me to talk to my manager and tell them all my dirty secrets.  Right, as if a legitimate government agency would stoop to threatening like that.  This type of call is bogus and they are identity thieves, do not talk to them and tell them to go take a hike or whatever you want to say.

I got a call from this guy on my cell on night and it came up as a number 1- thats it. I didnt answer it but he left a message about my daughter kicked his dog and he will call the cops.  Next night I got a call on my home phone from same guy saying same thing.  My husband took the phone and started talking crazy talk to him in the same accent of the guy telling him he is a very bad man,  Jerry Seinfiled said so.  Over and over it was really funny.  The guy got mad and hung up.  We star 69ed the call and got the number 416-971-2222.  Just weird I think that it called both my numbers?
