Rec'd 5 x calls in the last hour - business lines

call me saily asking for owner... say its not a sales call ... want to talk about pos services.. refuse o takr off call kist... cant receive incomming calls when i try to call back... anyone have a contact number for them so i can spend my rainy days calling them?

Is there not anyway to stop these frustrating calls? This should not be allowed when it's happening daily and non-stop! I've tried every thing...they even called twice in less than 10 mins! I also think they switch *calling from numbers* as I got a 3rd call within just few mins after the 2nd one...just a completely different number and area code of 253

Oh hell...this doesn't work...I've been ignoring these calls for over a year cause I know who it is...even answered it and muted it immediately and listened till someone says hello...they hear NOTHING...even told them to STOP calling this number when I have actually got the person on the phone as if you wait long enough? You WILL get a live person! I can't continue to just stop running to the phone and check the number each time they do...I have a mother who is on life-line so if it's a long distance ring I gotta run before I miss it! This is b***s*** period and we shouldn't have to (just ignore it)...not going to do s*** anyway!!

Works like a bomb?? Hate to see what kind of bomb you're referring to!! smh!

Receiving calls approximately 4 times per day and this has been going on for weeks !!
Very annoying,  I have yet to answer and I delete mid ring hoping the will get the message.

The company that called me using 416 971 6903 is Canadian Payment Services.  The lady on the phone gave me a toll free number to call them.  Its 1 866 827 5370.   Maybe we all should call that number and hang up after a few seconds.   Toll free numbers cost the company so maybe they will get the idea not to call anymore.

Multiple calls asking for the owner, then asking if i still accept visa and mastercard. never have. last time i asked to be removed from their call list, but they hung up halfway through my sentence. very professional:)

This number called the business I work at today and many more times within the last couple weeks. Very rude when you do talk to them, told them we are not interested and the girl on the other end called me stupid. Very rude people...need to stop calling.

Called a number of times, no message left.  Did a further check and it looks like they are spoofing the phone number because it apparently belongs to a pay phone on Bay St in Torinto. That's why people get the message the number doesn't receive calls when they call it back. So, it definitely is a telemarketer.

They ask for the owner of the company. I managed to get out of her that it's about a merchant account when I mentioned "Do Not Call List" the she hung up on me. Tried to file complaint at National Do Not Call List (for Canada) at the end of the process it informs me they are allowed to call us.

Very sick of these people calling so often and hanging up!

I tell them we are not interested, and they keep bothering us and our company!

Here is a solution to this problems.    Works for us.

There is NO stopping all the telemarketers out there. Here is what is going on.

1. There are phone bots, that all it does is call numbers looking for live phone numbers. If the number answers either with you picking up or your voice mail, then it logs that number and moves on to the next number.

2. With all these 'live numbers' they are then sold to the telemarketers who then with their automatic dialers, will then be calling you etc.

3. If you try to call the number that they are calling you from, then you get no where because they do not want to be bothered as we are with 100 of calls.
So you are either getting the telemarketers or the phone bots calling you.   Getting mad or calling to be taken off their phone list is a waste of time.

SO OUR SOLUTION, as we are in an office, is we answer the first time, and as soon as we know its a bot, or a telemarketer, we save the phone number in our phone as a Z meaning that it is a telemarketer, etc.

Then when the next call comes in it shows that it is a Z and  we just ignore it.

Right now, we have over 40 - Z phone numbers on our log, and we no longer get bothered but we are adding at least 2 a day to the Z list.

Give up ... find a way to just know that they will never stop but there is a way for you to know in advance that they are calling and to just ignore them.

Let us know if you try this and it works for you, it works like a bomb for us.

Yep, phone number has called my business twice in the last 10 minutes. Losers

Have received 4 calls in the last hour. When I answer the phone, no one replies, and then all I hear is a click. I tried to call back but it says that it cannot accept incoming calls.

This company just called and asked to speak to the owner of the business by name. Too bad that owner passed away in 2008!

I have a small very loud personel alarm and when they phone I hold it up to the phone and turn it on. The
calls stop for 3 or 4 days and then start up again.

This number calls here several times a day. We have 6 lines and they seem to call at least 3 of them. Asks for owner, won't leave a message. Never says good bye. Very annoying when you have legitimate customers calling you because we are a business as well. Always a man when they actually speak to you. Tried to call it but cannot receive incoming calls. How convenient for them.

Five minutes after getting another scam call from 917-217-9518 a call came from a woman asking about my unpublished website .
This was the first call in two years since i built it ! and the only call ever !
Pretty big coincedence eh ?
So I have found a connection to the people in Pakistan ( had Bell trace the number there) who have been calling me repeatedly to try and take over my computer and get my credit card info.
I was scammed by them a year ago and now they continue to try and scam me .
They even claim to have an FBI agent ther , HA HA ; I asked to speak with him and a man came to the phone
with heavy pakistani accent , I told him what i thought about people like them .

Got a call twice in a row by this number within three minutes. It's spam and i didn't bother to pick up the call.

They don't even have power over themselves. They are slaves to their own lies and madness.

These fools called my business 8 times today.   Same thing.   When we told them from the 'get go' that we are not interested, they hang up and then call back over and over again.

Why do that?   I get that its their way of showing that they have some kind of 'power' over you - that they can call and call and call and yet we have more power because, once they have called, we log their number with a Z so we know they are telemarketers and we let it go to voice mail.

No message but they dont get to talk to anyone, so if they want to now waste 'THEIR' time, doesnt both me.

We will never stop these calls so all you can do is ignore them after the first call.

There is no 'Spam Blocker' for our phone lines so when they were not able to get to us in our emails they moved back to 'old school' and use the phone.

If anyone does find out who they are, I hope you post it here.   We can then start calling their offices over and over and over again.

Got a call from this number at work - a lady asked for the owner - I said I'd have to take a message and she hung up. Bizarre. Hope they don't call back.

this guy has called multiple times daily to our business line and when I answer I tell him Im not interested and I hang up. He STILL continues to call 6/7 times a day and finally yesterday I flipped on him yelling to STOP calling this number, he yelled over me telling me to "stop crying" (which apparently my yell sounds like a cry) I told him Im not crying I am pissed and to never call this number again. He called again the next day...how does this stop?

What this is - is a tool that is used by Telemarketers.   What it does is call numbers and if there is an answer - even if its a voicemail, then it logs that number and they sell your number to telemarketers and boom, you start getting calls selling rubbish.

There is NO WAY to stop it ... just know that when the telemarketers call, that this is how they are getting your phone number and just hang up.

Sorry to say but because of all of our Spam filters on our emails now (notice that you get almost no spam anymore) they have had to go back to 'old school' with a twist.
