Got a call from that nbr too 416 983 9898.  What r they looking for?

- this  number  called  me  for the  1st  time !   at  4:46pm  saturday ,  august  18th  (   EST).........phone  ranf  twice , then  they  hung  up.

"  call  display"  name   showed the    phone  number........1st  MAJOR  tip  off  of a  fake  call /    faked and  spoofed  phone  number  !!!


called  back on a   SECURE and  UNTRACEABLE     line **** which  is  the  only  way   to  call idiots  like  this back........same  recording as  others s tated "     this  number  is  not  is  service"..........major  tip  off  # 2  number  is  spoofed /    faked  etc......

I got call August 18 @ 3pm.  Auto message saying I won 2600 air miles. I pressed 1 for s**** and laughs. Took me a live person from a travel tour company. Told him to shove it and hung up.

Same here. But they give me 4 short dial so my phone kinda ring on ring off 4 TIMES.. So annoying, Arrgh..

Looks like they use electronic dial n its messed up.. Hehe lets catch this guys.. Bad bad boyz

I wish these telemarketers would quit calling for good,its disrespectful to people that they annoy,i am on the national do not call list

Rang on work landline.  No message left.

This number calls me about once a week, 3 times in a row, first on my home phone, then cell phone, then office line, always one after the other. This has been going on for a few months. At first I just hung up on them but I am so fed up with it. The recording says it is an important message from Air Miles that I have won travel rewards, press 1 to accept. I tried waiting for other options, it disconnects. I tried pressing 0, it disconnects. Today I pressed one and was put on hold!!! HA! and when a person finally answered I explained that I just wanted ALL my numbers removed. She hung up on me without a word. 5 minutes later, guess which number call my office line? So infuriating!!! I am contacting Air Miles directly to make a complaint.

Missed 2 calls from this number @ 3:19PM Central. No message. Didn't call back.

Called, automated message said you won 2600 Air Miles press 1 to collect.
Pressed 1, "You are caller Number 8. Estimated wait time 15 seconds".
Someone picked up. I missed the company name. The introduction line sounded more like they were going to get me to pay for something rather than award a prize.
I hung up.

Caller ID may be spoofed, I called back to a "this number is not in service" (a PBX could play that to trick someone).

I just received the same call and since reading the above posts realize I was scammed as well.  How annoying!

Air Miles scam. Called the home phone claiming that I had won a certain amount of point and to press 1 to redeem. Also, it was an automated voice.

Got a call from this number as well. When I called back it says it's not in service.

Just  got  this  cell  call  and  no  message  was  left.  Must  conclude  it  is  some  sort  of  marketing  call  or  scam.

Missed a call from this number. No voicemail left..

Called at ~1610 local time (Vancouver Island, BC) and did not leave a message.  This number has called before.

The do not call list applies to people who are selling things. If this was simply a survey company, they're still allowed to call u wether or not ur on the do not call registry. You are however allowed to ask survey companies to put you on THEIR internal/independent do not call lists

This is definately a nigerian scam artisit number, mostly all 416's are from nigeria. I did not pickup because they keep trying with different numbers, using 8989 or 9898 butwith different area code and first 3 digits after. scam artists.

Received call....called back not in service......

Just got one - didn't answer as I didn't know the #. Since cell phones are not listed,  I guess they just start at a  certain number and keep dialing - forever - unless some unscrupulous contact has sold their client lists.

Woo hooo, I won 2500 Air Miles, ya right, nice try, wish someone could actually trace and get rid of these types of calls, with all the technology out there, why can't this be done

I received 2 back to back calls on my cell from this number. I called the number back as well and got the recorded message that the number was not in use. Very annoying. How are they allowed to do this? I feel if you can get calls from a number one should be able to call the number back and be able to reach someone accountable. Arrrggg!

I got the call on my cell, didn't answer, it left a voice message and only said "1" in a males voice. Not sure who or what they were calling for. I've had the air miles call on our house phone.

It turns out they are a bunch of Aliens coming to invade the earth.  If you are one of the lucky ones who got the call, they will let you live

Scam - Air Miles Canada - Automated

I wish this link was to some help on getting these people to stop phoning or cell phones and home phones. I press the one button to talk to someone and then when I ask them to stop calling and take me off their call list they say ok and hang up. Next time I did the same thing and asked them  not to hang up on me but take me off the list same thing just said ok and hung up. I just put them in my contacts under "don't answer". If anyone has found away to get these people to stop calling it sure would be helpful then just reading how many of us are frustrated.
