Don't answer this!
Don't press a number.
They just want YOU to give them YOUR existing CREDIT CARD numbers, so they can turn around and buy things!
They are waiting for an old person, or a dumb person, or someone who is naive.
Just don't answer calls.  Trust no one!   :)

I receive occasional calls from this number, 417-000-0002.  I used to get calls from the same number on my old phone.  They would try to sell me things I never requested.  I had my number on the do no call list, how to I stop this from occurring.

Prank Call
Received call from the above number, recorded message saying mt Master Card has been compromised and to press a digit to report it.  Well I do not own a credit card and no institution robo calls you.  Scam!

I've been getting a lot of weird numbers lately and was curious because I won't answer a number I don't know.  No vmail was left behind and I'm glad I didn't answer.  Come to think of it, I'm on the no call list...they really shouldn't be calling me!

I have received multiple phone calls from this number 417-000-0002. A pre-recorded announcement tells me that my credit card is  not in any danger now, but that my low interest rates will expire shortly. I need to press 9 to find out how to continue to receive the low interest rates. After the 2nd or 3rd call and just hanging up, I decided to press 9 and ask to be removed from the call list -- that's where the 'fun' begins.

I have argued and argued with these people requesting to be removed to no avail. Today the person I spoke to asked me repeatedly how old I was. He told me that he was NOT going to remove my number. I asked him again to remove my number and he asked again how old I was. I said I am 56. Please remove my number. He hung up.

I don't know what can be done but this has got to stop.

So I don't understand why ppl.knowing this is a scam or knowing u don't own any credit cards are even pressing #9? There are scams where they end up charging u for the call if u press #9.
Also the do not call list does not guarantee you will be scam & telemarketing free.

The best u can do is block call if ur phone has the option. If not save that number in your phone with the contact name "scam".Then don't answer it the next time.
Then file a quick ( easy) online complaint with the FTC. If they are contacting you after u file a complaint u can sue them for up to $1,500 / each call after the complaint is filled.
I wish these scammers would go away!

Called me on 02-24-14.  Unknown caller from obvious suspicious number considering the prefix is 000.  Seeing a lot of people complaining about this number online.  Thought I would add myself to the list.  They are at it again.

Same story different day.  Automated message saying press 9 to lower my credit card rate and it was my last chance because it was going to expire.  Figured it had to be bogus so I just hung up.  This was the first time I got a call from this number and I hope it is the last.

Received a call from this number today. It was the "Infamous Rachael" calling to lower my credit card interest rates. Another scam since I don't carry any credit card debt. I hung up!

I know these calls aren't legal, and I "opt out" every time - either by keypad or talking to someone - but how can they be stopped? This time, the call ended as I answered. /grrrr

The "card services" scammers don't "get" anyone's number, they use a robodialer, which dials numbers in a sequential order, until someone answers, and becomes their next potential victim.

I was called by this number and I pressed 0 to talk to a live operator.  I let the young male with a heavy foriegn accent know that I do not have a credit card and would like to be removed from the call list.  He proceeded to ask me if I was in the bathroom becuase there was an ecco - I let him know I was in my office foyer.  I asked for his supervisor.  He then began making disgustingly obscene sexual and vulgar comments and questions.  Filthy mouth.  Don't answer this phone number - unless you want to be verbally abused and violated.

It is obviously a bogus number and an obvious sign of a scam. These operations do not care about the law.
