My husband first got a text from 631-343-8301 stating the same info as above, that they were interested in our item. Then got a text a few days later from the 417# asking to wire money from our acct. Then I saw it was a scam & told him he was busted. Haven't heard from his since, glad I found this site! Beware of the other number!

Just got a text from this # figured it was a scam glad I looked it up

just listed and as soon as I finished I got this call and he wanted to buy everything

Also had item on Craigslist for sale, and he (Jeffrey is the name he gave) also wanted to send money order/cashier check for the item.  Also stated he would pay additonal $50 if listing was taken off. Same old s***  he's been giving to everyone else it seems.  Texted him back and let him know "no way" and offered to send him copy of what I'm posting on 800notes about him.  Didn't hear from him anymore.

Good thing I googled this number.  Got a text that just said "I want to buy the (Title of CL ad)" super fishy, I responded back "YOU'VE BEEN HAD" and posted a link to this website.  A-hole.

Got a text from them saying they'd buy my Craigslist item.  Wanted to send a certified check or money order.  Total scam!

Got a text saying they would be able to send me a check or money order for my table and chairs with hutch. I googled it and found out it was a lie

I received a text from this guy stating he wanted to purchase my item directly as it was listed on craigslist. He said "he can only do a certified check or money order and that he was a petroleum engineer that works at sea, that is why I could not come in person or call, the reception here is really bad, i can only contact you through text right now." He kept insisting on my full name and address to "send the payment." He said he would have the shipping company K&K shipper come pick them up. This made me suspicious and I googled the number. Came up on this page. I will not be responding anymore to this guy. Thank you for all your previous posts.

I got a txt for a craigslist item. He said her was interested and for.me to pleaseee hold the item. He offered to post $50 extra and that he would arrange for  pick up after the check or money order cleared on my acct.
He asked for my.first and last name plus mailing ad dress to send the payment. Be careful , hes trying to get information Scammer

Same happened to me this morning while I was worshipping, I got his texts...ugh.

Sent me a Craigslist response saying "I want to buy the" and then the full ad title, which is something a human would never type out.  I responded with a link to this page and registered the number on my phone as a spam number.

Sent me a text regarding dryer for sale on Craigslist.  Wanted to buy, but only by money order or certified check.  Needs my full name and address. Craigslist requires more info than I have to report them as scammers.  Beware!

Yeah he just text me and wanted my account number to deposit money into. Would pay me $50 extra and would make arrangements to pick it up later. Kinda ruins CL for all the honest people. Needless to say i didnt even respond.

He just texted me, wanted to buy the item for full price. Knew something was up right away. I goggle every number that texts me from craigst-list thats out of town - they are all scams. Wish I had that kind of free time.

definately a scammer that gets your number off of craigs list when your selling something.

Thanks for the info i just got a text from this about Craigslist items and i spelled out my number.

Always interesting when you specifically say in your Craigslist ad "please do not text or email, please call" and you get a text anyway.  People like this ruin it for averyone else! Glad I check this number out and Thanks to everyone who takes the time to identify these scammers to everyone else.
