I started a pertition on the white house web site.  it needs 150 sigs to get viewed and 100,000 for them to answer it.  I am so sick of these people! please sign it.  https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/sto ... -phone/NXV86KS8.  I think you can look it up with the NXC86KS8 number.  Maybe if enough people sign this the government will do something!

I have been getting these calls sometimes a number of times a day for the last I don't know how long.  When I either ask them to take me off of their list or to speak to a manager, they hang up on me.  I finally reported them to the "Do Not Call Registry".  This phone # & also 417-800-2323.

I get those phone calls a lot.  Pressing #1 does not help.  I've pushed numerous buttons in rapid succession hoping to mess up their equipment.  Doesn't help!  Even people with no credit card get these calls.  I have talked with live people who have called in the past, telling them to stop the calls because we pay our bills completely and don't need our interest rate lowered.  Being nasty to them doesn't help either.  Sad when people feel they have to make nuisances of themselves like this.  NO Conscience of any kind.

This is another phony, computer generated number used by so-called "Card Services."  They use phony numbers with area codes in Washington state, Missouri, Florida, etc.  The worst thing you could do is give them any personal data, such as your SSN, which would lead to identity theft with the usual consequences.  If you are looking for a reduced interest rate on your credit cards, call your bank on the 800 number listed on the back of the card, talk nice to them but tell them you are going to switch to another bank with a lower rate, etc.  Please report them to FTC and BBB.  If they get enough complaints, some agency might finally track them down and lock them up.   They even call on Sundays - it figures that these godless devils would not be in church on Sundays.  I shut off the ringers on my landline at 7 PM, so these scam calls will not wake up the little ones.  Real friends and relatives have our cell phone numbers.

The govt did fine this group with a huge fine.  The problem is that they use different numbers all the time and tracking them down is difficult.  Stop whining about what the govt is not doing and read the FCC Facebook page for good info.  These people are criminals and do not care about the Do Not Call list.  If idiots would stop responding by pressing "1" to supposedly get off this calling list and thereby verifying that they have a live number, it would help.  Report all instances of these calls to the govt so they can document the calls from all the various numbers these jerks are using.  Seriously, you act like these crooks are afraid of the Do Not Call list.  Get real.  They are criminals for a reason and will not pay attention to something like that.

To quote an old Metallica album,  "kill 'em all!".  I don't mean that literally, but I wish there was some way to kill this industry as a whole once and for all.  Nothing works!  None of the recommended tecniques, not one.  Blocking, ignoring, reporting, NOTHING WORKS!  Why isn't the government doing it's job?

The call blocker might be a partial solution to the problem but be prepared to block ALL combinations of 3 digit numbers from zero to nine---there are hundreds of them. Because all the numbers the "card services" scammers use are spoofed (false) they are not limited to the use of actual area codes.

Got a call from this number today.  Caller ID showed Card Services.  I didn't answer and my voice mail is turned off.  Normally my Digitone Call blocker would have stopped this call before it even rings, but 417 was not one of the 42 area codes that I had blocked.  It is now.

The following message was left:
"Press 1 now to find out terms and conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle.  Again, this is the final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus.  Press 1 now to take advantage of this today."

uh, I don't need to know, don't care.

But I did just get my Digitone unit delivered today (only ordered two days ago - amazed) so I don't think I'll have to listen to this crap again.  Got a call from some faith and prayer thing also soon after install and I hit the block button for them so no more of that.

I got the Digitone idea from someone else from this website and I'm glad I saw that.  Bought from Amazon, btw.  Can't wait to block more.  .

They just keep calling and calling, they were supposed to be shut down on November 1 but they just change their numbers and keep calling. This is the eight time since they were "shut down" they have called my number. I've got to the point that I do not answer any call from someone that does not show a valid Caller ID I know and am willing to answer.

To identify the calling party by using these numbers obviously will do no good,as they are all spoofed (false) numbers.Read the 800notes post of Ricardo on Jan 7 2013 on 417 800 2363 (same "card services" scammers) and judge for yourself if his post is truthful.

Mechanical call--a scam. Called them back; pressed 2 to be put on "their" do not call list. Will wait dubiously to see if this stops their string of calls. Meanwhile, will report their "National Do Not Call List" violation again.

Not tele-marketer, but a tele-scammer who is after your personal info and credit card numbers.  I talked to one of these people briefly, and it was clear that he did not represent any particular credit issuer.  "Which credit issuer are you representing?"  "Uh... VISA or Master Card..."  "You have x thousand or more in credit card debt?"  Give him your card number and because of your prompt payment history he'll get your interest cut to 6.9%.  Right!
If you do talk to one if these people, give them no factual information about yourself or your financial affairs.  And don't bother trying to offend the caller or take offense at anything the caller says.  The poor guy on the phone doesn't really care.  The next call from Card Services will likely be from a different spoofed number, and the person on the other end of the line will have no idea that you ever talked with anyone else from this criminal organization.

Just like the burglar who picks your lock or breaks a window or door to get in, these crooks do not care about silly do not call lists. They are, or at least work for, professional criminals, not legitimate credit issuers.  Autodialers don't have to use real numbers.  They can generate phone numbers at random at high frequency.  When a random number generates an answer ( you pick up) and a response (you press 1), the dialer connects to a live operator who is waiting to take the call.   If all the operators are busy with calls, there may be a delay, and the dialer may hang up.  They're not being rude.  They don't actually care enough about you to bother being rude.  They're just trying to make a very dishonest buck.

I received (and have received) several of these calls, supposedly from a credit card company.  Today, I pressed 1 and waited for someone to get on the other end.  When he did, he asked if I were calling to lower my rate, and I said, "May I speak with your supervisor?"  He hung up.  I get about 3 of these calls a day.  Usually, I just don't answer or I pick up and hang up pretty quickly.  It's irritating that someone can't catch these scammers.
