There is no charge for filing a complaint. You can file your complaint using an online complaint form. You can also file your complaint with the FCC?s Consumer Center by calling 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) voice or 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322) TTY; faxing 1-866-418-0232; or writing to:

I do not answer calls I do not recognize. This call was not answered. I am on the Indiana DO NOT CALL list and should not be getting these calls!

I had already entered area code 417 to my call blocker as a result of a similar scam months ago so I was undisturbed by this new batch of parasites.
Do yourselves a favor folks and get a call blocker. Sell a kidney and/or first-born if you must. :-) I used money that I might have otherwise contributed to annoying political parties and charities. After the constant calls, I decided to put the money to better use. The resulting absence of annoying calls is worth it.

> " they have figured out how to get around the dnc list"
No one needs to figure out how to get around the DNC list: They just ignore it. (They probably don't even get themselves a copy of the list. Why would they bother?) They are criminals, so the DNC list is just one more law for them to break.
Mike-in-MD 2013-07-20 21:55:07 Unknown
You seem to misunderstand the DNC list. Calling numbers are not on the list, only residences and the personal cell phones of people who do not wish to receive calls offering the sale of goods or services and have registered their numbers. The use of multiple numbers to call you is attempts by telemarketers to bypass call blocking that consumers have set up with a hardware device or via their phone company.
Mike-in-MD 2013-07-20 21:50:10 Unknown
It's not thousands of dollars of equipment, probably a few hundred at the most. The sensors run a couple bucks apiece and the control panel $60-70. You will likely not get a sensor for every door or window or more than one keypad either without a charge. The real money is made on the long term monitoring contract that they lure you into with the "free" equipment and installation offer. The equipment and installation cost is likely rolled into the monthly contract fee anyway. As Robert Heinlein famously said "There is no such thing as a free lunch". Companies have been running the same scam via door-to-door salesdroids and they get annoyed when called on it.

After receiving many of these calls - this is the latest from a co. called Home Security - I decided to turn off our answering machine at home & just let the phone rings. It usually stops after several rings. We have caller ID and the number registers. I try my best to report every call to the DNC registry but I really believe that do they not do much of anything. I read recently that they receive about 1 million complaints a yr & that is only a small percentage of these scam calls.

I received a call today at about 12:30pm. I run a martial arts business at the phone number that they called me at. When I answered the phone I was hung up on. I called back because if one of my employees hung up on a potential customer I would be very upset. I was directed to an option of either speaking to a representative or I could join their do not call list. I pressed two for being put on their do not call list. I called back again though so that I could speak to a manager about the lack of customer service ( I was hung up on) and when I tried to leave a message I was directed to the same message that told me that I was going to be put on their do not call list.
I am very upset and offended by the lack of customer service. I am actually interested in a home security system. If they had just spoken to me they may have had a sale. I would not choose a company that demonstrates such a great amount of disrespect to potential customers. If I knew what the company's name was I would past a bad review on their internet page.

Robo Call disconnected when it went to voice mail.

Caller doesn't reply to "hello" and eventually disconnects. Has to be a scam. I'm blocking this number.

these are nothing more than nuisance calls that once they start they do not stop. whatever happened to the DO NOT CALL LISTS that i'm sure most of us all signed up for? these telemarketers just don't quit and use on pre-recorded messages if you do pick up.
anon 2013-07-19 15:16:46 Telemarketer
Security system scam where they offer to install a system in your home for free if they can put a sign in your yard. They don't say that there is a high monthly fee for monitoring the system that you must pay on a long term contract for monitoring with a steep early termination fee but that's the scam. Aimed at scared crime victims and the elderly. Scumbags. Of course they don't respect the do not call list--they probably use it as a source.

I NEVER answer calls from unknown numbers nor do I have an answering machine. The owner of this call center has obviously lost his mind from having too much barnyard sex with sheep.

they come in bunches from different numbers
Where's my gun 2013-07-18 23:33:40 Telemarketer
They change numbers from time to time, but this is the same group of worthless scamming little a***oles that use a Caller ID of HOME SECURITY. I've never answered their calls (never will), but I'd be more than happy to demonstrate my own home security system to them if they ever knock on my door. BANG! You're dead.

Didn't pick up the phone when I saw a name/number I didn't recognize. I assume there will be a hang-up on my answering machine.
I am on the DNC list, both state and federal. I have no prior business relationship with the company. But it seems I need to engage them in conversation to file a DNC violation report.

Called on 07/16/2013 @ 03:37 PM from Nevada, MO. Caller ID also shows, Nevada, MO. No message left. Auto dialers hang up by the forth 4 ring so I set voice mail for 5 rings. Lot's of scams from Nevada, MO.
