I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their call list but they continue to call and hang up as soon as I verify they have reached the Village of Malinta.

Perhaps not a scam but wanting you to spend more money..... I have about a dozen different numbers that this "request from Google" comes from... I have them saved in my phone as TRASH and just ignore them.

My caller ID states G Services I answer & it states that my Google services need to be updated, I've gotten the same call from other numbers this is the third one I've blocked.  We have no Google services, we have no Google website & I'm tired of them calling.  I think Google would be disappointed that someone is using their name because I don't believe it's "Google" at all.  Don't punch in any number they ask you to punch because they'll call under a new number.

Prank Call
I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

Yet another "Binggoogleyahoo!" search engine scammer. Does this crap even work with anyone? I listed it as a prank call because "scam call" or "telescammer" were not available choices.

Beware of doing business with google.
I have a home office and I know that doesn't look very professional when soliciting customers.  Anyone who googled my business name got my home address.  I contacted google and got them to put my business at a property I own in another city that has a small run down house on it that is empty.  Within two weeks that city was all over me to get a license and had the fire department show up and leave notices at that location to do a business inspection.  Since I have owned that property since 1999 and was never contacted by the city once I decided to call google.  After asking several times the man on the phone finally admitted that they "share" this information with cities, counties and states.  The best part......he would not remove that address as being my business address until he confirmed that there was no business there.

Agree with above. They call my office everyday. Many times with different numbers If you block one number, they'll just use another. Someone is going to have to find out where they can be turned in to their state's Attorney General. I try to post this message every time I see this fake Google scam so maybe someone can tell us which Attorney General to turn them into.

Yes...all those Google listing or Google Maps calls are scams.  DO NOT answer any questions at all.

If you say "yes" to anything....even your name...they will record that and claim you approved their scam when you get a bill for $600

I received a phone call with a recorded message.  The recording asked me to press 1 if I wanted to maintain my Google placement.  I did that.  Then a man answered and began to ask me questions about my business.  I said that before I answer any questions, are you from Google Corporation itself as an employee?  He said, NO.  He said he worked for a third party service provider.  I HUNG UP.  I googled the number and discovered that others were complaining about getting calls from this number.  Another scam.  Most likely a third party service provider wanting to sell SEO services.  GEEZ.
