Got a call with an offer from Wyndham Hotels... I don't recall staying at one, even though they thanked us for it...
CR 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
Ramada/Wyndham: They are constantly calling me with promotional stuff even if I don't want it. They call my cell phone and when I don't answer they keep calling. VERY annoying.

calling all hours of the day/evening. very annoying. would not consider ever doing business with them

Said they were from Wyndham and were calling to thank me for for my recent stay in their hotel. When I asked which hotel stay he was referring to he said it was a Baymont. They now call me day and night to offer vacation packages that I have declined repeatedly.

If you're a member of TripRewards (part of the Travelodge, Super8, Wyndham, Wingate, Ramada Inn, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, or AmeriHost Inn chain of hotels), you'll get these kinds of calls. If you're not a member of TripRewards, then the Wyndham-family hotel is adding your most recent stay to their corporate database and they're prospecting while doing follow-up calls.
Contacting TripRewards directly or by changing your preferences when you're logged in to your account should eventually stop these calls. If you're registered in the National Do-Not-Call registry, then you have a compelling case against these solicitous calls. Remind them you're registered and will file a complaint if they call again - that might stop them immediately.

Hay guys,
I want to apologize if I was ever the person who called you. I worked with Wyndham for a few weeks, couldn't hack it.. I felt guilty for harassing people. What they offer is good, you have to sit through a timeshare tour, but if you look at it like well, I could give up and hour of my life to get to go to vegas for 99$ it's a good deal, but most of the time, it seems hardly worth it.
I wouldn't call it a scam, but it is annoying. Tip? When you stay at hotels, change your phone number by a few digits.. Wyndham owns Days Inn, Knights Inn, Travel Lodge, Ramade, Baymont Inn, Howard Johnson, Wingate, and Wyndham hotels. If you stayed there recently, you will be called.

Logged this number in my cell as "timeshare douche." Now I remember not to answer the phone. =)

called me dduring class. they better not call again
WTF 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
Somebody must have used a fake phone number because they just called me. Please use the phone number from the movies with 555 in it if you're gonna use a fake number.

called me during lunch - i was in the lunch line

Wow, this was easy. I just received a call on my cell from this number so I Googled it just to see where area code 417 was. I have stayed at Super 8 and Days Inn so that explains it. Thanks for posting, everyone. As soon as I see this number come up again, I'll be sure to cut them right off before they can get a word in.

Yeah I just got one of these calls too. I work nights and they'd better be pretty damn glad they didn't wake me up. It's kinda sad that this is the first result on Google when you search for the number.
The only time I've ever stayed at any of the hotels was a Super 8 in south Kansas City, and at that time I didn't have the cell phone. So I don't know how they got my number.
Hmmmph 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
Called to 'thank' me for a recent stay in North Carolina (I think I was there about 6 years ago) and offered 3 nights anywhere for $149. Subsequently dropped this to $99 after I requested to see their email prior to committing, a 'managers' special.
Typical high-pressure timeshare sales tactics, though he specifically said it was -not- a timeshare. Big liar.
Sigh 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
It never stops. I got the "3 day / 2 night for $99" call about three months ago. I told them not to call me anymore and that I wasn't interested.
Got the same call today. :( This time it was "3 day / 2 night for $79!" I'm moving up in the world! Still, though, not interested. It seems to me that, if someone is NOT interested in your offer, you shouldn't keep calling them about it. It just annoys people and makes them not want anything to do with you. Unfortunately, they own the majority of the hotels in the US, it seems.
aaa 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
i received the call today, too. also "thank" me for choosing their hotel in last Aug. I never left my home last Aug.
said 4 night for $139. i said i am not interested in any of the promotions. the lady kept explaining.

Thanks,

Keeping getting this # on my cell caller ID. Never answered though and they don't leave a message! What's annoying is that they call at 10:30pm or later (10:47pm tonight) since I am now living on the East coast but still have a PDT cell #! I will answer next time and tell them to take me OFF of their list. I am on the cell do not call list, so I don't know what their problem is!

wished to know if i was the calvert resident and claimed to be a hotel. this was a false statement.
apo 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
they called to thank me for a hotel stay in California in 2006 that I can't remember. I live in NY. Offered 4 nights stay at any resort good for 1 year for $139, then dropped to $109 when I declined. They say there were only 40 of these special offers available and while talking to me they already sold 5. If there are only 40 of them then how can they afford to hire someone trained in telemarketing to call me out of millions of previous customers? I wasted 12 minutes of their time.
CJ 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
They keep callin, 7:50 P.M. I don't answer. Wish they'd stop.

Previously received a call from this number. They almost had me hooked until my eves-dropping wife intervened. When I gave the agent the bad news, he passed me on to his manager. His anger barely concealed, he tried in vain to convince me otherwise. He made sure to make me aware he was mad as hell?!? Something told me to mark the phone number and they called again tonight. I didn't answer and they left no message. I googled the # which brought me here.

These and like phone calls you get are from people who work for companies that are DATA MINERS. They might tell you they are from this and that, but if you call the number and get some different run about you know you have been had. A significant number of callers work for multiple companies at the same time to track down phone number of cells that include credit agencies.
HLP 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
You can call 800-914-8021 to be immediately removed from their calling list. I just did it. (I guess we'll see if the calls really stop, but the operator didn't hassle me about it.)
time to fight back 2011-06-06 20:49:03 Unknown
okay my cell phone is registered with the government sponsored do not call list..and yet this number is calling...so i think i am now going to find out how to make an official complaint.

called to thank me for staying in their hotels and to offer some vacation specials
Finn 2010-10-15 17:55:06 Event Reminder
The number just called me and it was from Feldco Windows (a company in the midwest) confirming an appointment. It is no longer Wyndham
Wyndham Employee 2009-02-20 16:41:16 Unknown
haha, Brad Williams is my manager. Don't worry it's a legit company and truly not a scam, but a really great offer. Wyndham actually laid off all of their marketing department so you won't receive anymore calls anyway. Thanks though.

Answered a call from this number just now, wasn't sure who it was but thought I'd answer anyway. It was Aunt Jamima trying to sell me syrup for tossing salads in prison.
Not sure about all that but I didn't want the syrup.
