Seems Data Solutions (copiers) is back at it.  I am not sure how they got a copier model number or my name but I received an invoice today from them for $1,200.  The invoice had an "order date" of 7/5/2012 and a specific note stating no refunds are given after 15 days from the order date.  However, I spoke with "Judy" and informed her we don't have a copier and I definitely did not order this and will not pay for it.  I asked her how this invoice was created and she said without missing a beat - "The salesperson must have meant to send you a catalog."  Now, call me crazy but I would love to see an order fulfillment system where sending a catalog and a $1,200 invoice is one key stroke away from each other.

When this number called me they left a message saying it was Sun Loans. Apparently someone I know is behind on their loan payment and gave them my number as a contact so they feel the need to harass me. I have never had this number say anything about a copier.

We get calls about this quite a bit.   After a bit of fake fumbling to act like we're getting the model number, we always give them this model number U-S.C.A.M-US-2011 - Spell it out for them. Then funny to read it back to them like You Scam Us.   They always get pissed and hang up.

417-886-1334 IS MY HOME PHONE NUMBER - I DO NOT have long distance service on my phone.

I found out from one of the people being called that a Rhonda Moore with Data Line Tech called them from this number.

Please be aware that this is my home phone number that I have had for 4 years now and it has been being used illigally for all this time to call all over the U.S.  AT&T won't do anything about it.

My home phone number is responsible for annoying many people across the U.S.  Hopefully sometime somone will have enough pull to do something about this.  When the FBI called because they received hang up calls I asked them to do something if they would but still no help with this.  Jackie

Rhonda Moore called me from Dynatech...she spoke as if she were clearing up an order (I don't typically handle supply orders) and insistant about the model number of my printer and that there was a mix up and she'd be sending the right order to us.  I later checked with the parties that order office supplies who reported they never ordered any printer cartridges and it was probably a scam.  Will not be paying for anything that shows up, since I'm with a public agency and no purchase order was in place for such a purchase.

We received a call yesterday from Jason with Dataline (but the first person he talked to before being transfer to me he said he was with Datacom-oops its unfortuneate that people forget where they work) He was insistant that we give him the model number of our printer because there was an issue with 'running the reports'. When I asked which reports and from which program he got very irritated that I wouldn't just give him the information he wantd. He said he boss just told him to call to get the information. I refused to give him the information and his answer was that he would have to have his boss call us back then. I told him FANTSTIC bring it on! And no one has called back

Somebody from "Data Solutions" called regarding our copier. She asked me to give her the model number of the copier because there was a mixup. I told her we didn't want any products or supplies and put her on hold to contact our purchasing department. She then hung up.

Got a call from Rhonda Moore.  She was insisting I give her my printer cartridge information stating that the director of the department had a mix-up with headquarters.  It was very strange and I felt very uncomfortable speaking to her.  I wish I would have gone with my gut and not given her the time of day. jls

Kendall Lewis called from Data Line saying there was a mix up with our printer order and could I tell her the model number of my color printer.  She said her boss left her a note to call and explain the problem to my boss.  I kept asking who she was and why her number appeared as all zeros.  She said she was calling from a 417 number.  I asked her 3 times who she was and explained that we get our supplies and repairs in-house.  She wanted to leave a voice mail for my boss.  I explained that he has nothing to do with any business machines and she could tell me what the "mix-up" was.  She finally just hung up.

Rhonda Moore called me from Data Line telling me she had cartridges for my printer.  Since we recently just ordered printer cartridges I didn't think too much about it at first.  Then I talked to the person who orders our supplies and she said we don't order from that company.  I tried to call the number back, but no one answers.  We won't be paying for the cartridges when the arrive.

Whatcha know.  Rhonda Moore called me on Friday and apparently it's a Copier Pirating scheme.  They call get the model number and then send you out toner and bill you for it.  I've got news for them.  I'm not paying for it if it shows up.

Just like the comment above from "jwa" - the name I was given by the caller was Rhonda Moore and she was asking about my laser printer - wanted to know the model number and asked to talk with my boss re: a mixup.  I kept questioning her about her call and why she needed to know about my laser printer, and she finally ended the phone call stating she'll call my boss next week and hung up.  I called back this phone number and all it did was ring - no one answered.

This number called my boss' office phone which has my office number on her outgoing message.  The caller then called me and keeps asking for my boss when I try to get info from the caller she states her name as Sonia and that's she's calling from Data Line and needs to talk to my boss about the "mix-up".  When I asked what the "mix-up" is she states that she can't tell me and that her boss told her to speak to my boss.  It's clearly a scam!
