These cretins called at 1:56 am.  Nobody answered, but despite the phone being banished from the bedroom now (due to scam callers) it still woke us up ringing in the kitchen.
SOMEBODY is apparently falling for this stuff, or the scam artists wouldn't do this.  Aargh!

Received a blocked call first on my husband's cell phone then 2 minutes later this # came up on my cell phone. When it was answered it was an automated recording stating they were Ch#$$ie(a local federal credit union)and that our account has been accessed fraudulently by a third party. They need us to confirm our account information.  We don't have accounts @ that credit union. Someone is definitely scamming for info.  Intellligent people would NEVER give their acct information over the phone, esepecially on a Sunday night, @ 9:30 pm, and on a holiday weekend.  My bank would never do this and tells me to never accept a call from them like this. Is anyone else's bank open this late??!?!?

I got an automated call from this number claiming to be a National Bank & telling me that there was suspected fraudulent activity on my ATM card. This is an attempt at stealing ATM & debit card information. DO NOT enter your information as it requests!! You will be a victim of identity theft. I googled the phone number & there are plenty of posts out there about the same number!! I tried to call the number back & a message tells me that the number is currently unavailable.

Got a call last night at 1:20 AM  Since I have children who are grown and live elsewhere the phone scared me by ringing at such an odd hour so I answered it...recording said they were "First Harrison Bank" (I think) and said my card had been suspended because it had been accessed by a third party.

Do they call in the middle of the night to catch you off guard?

Anyway, we don't have an account there so this is probably a scam of some sort - they seem to use local banks names.  I am in Indiana btw

Same *#@^&%$ called at 0207 2009.05.23 to my cell!  Phooey!  As neither the FCC nor FCC (USA) seem to be able to do anything about this perhaps another approach is necessary.

AT&T and the National Spook Agency should be able to ID the location these calls are coming from without much difficulty.  While they're doing this, somebody should create a website to collect funds to take care of the problem.  Then, when the location is found, the money is used to send a Blackwater Worldwide team to sort those *#@^&%$ out and eliminate them from the gene pool.  Two or three of these and the calls will slow way down.

These weenies called at 1:56am, the call lists on Caller ID as coming from "Quebec, PQ".  Nobody answered it - the scam calls have gotten so frequent that we don't even have the phone in the bedroom at night - but we still heard it and woke up.
It's time to look for some kind of software or device to weed the fake calls out.  The government appears unable to help stop the number spoofing wastes of air.
