Jason or Jayson got us as well.  It all happened around the time you were hired.  I've been traveling to Nashville for a little while trying to straighten things out and have since made a few good contacts who have also had run ins with Rashley. I'm so happy that this website is jam-packed of information that lead people here who are Googling Jason Rashley. Hopefully they start their research before any serious coin leaves their wallet. Surely wherever Jason is right now he is pleased because he thinks he is getting away with something. It's all coming together... I am not by the least shocked. I knew him as Jayson White and he was at Home2suites, then extended stay Vanderbilt, and then Loews by Vandy in Nashville. He was heading back to LA about two three weeks ago and then came back to Nashville for a minute. I heard he for in some car crash and was hospitalized for a couple days. Everything that comes out of this guys mouth are lies! If I ever hear from this dude ..... Please help me GOD not to do something I will regret. He is the scum of all scammers and he talks a very smooth game. The 310 is no good and he has some other random emails and claiming to be an Emily Davis too... From what I can tell. I can definitely verify that as well. He called me a couple months ago (no idea how he got my info, but he had my resume as well) asking if I was still looking for a job in the Nashville area in the music industry--which I have been post-college. (I majored in Journalism and have interned here in Nashville doing PR, artist relations, writing for CCM's Indie Column, etc.) I even drove to Nashville from NC to meet/"interview" with him at the Home2 Suites. I was a little skeptical at first because it all sounded a bit too good to be true, and I couldn't find anything online about him. (Granted, I was searching info for a "Jayson White" which was obviously a fake name. He even specified to me at one point that he spelled it with a "y.") Regardless, when I got there and met him, he did seem to have an answer for everything. Talked a big talk. And we met with some of the people he claimed were his partners in Iconic Music, who as I have since found out he was trying to fool them as well and get them to invest in this company of his. But they were his foothold that made him seem credible in the city--to met at least. Needless to say, a couple weeks after my interview, he called to tell me I got the "job." We talked some details and decided on a start date--this past Monday the 15th. But, of course, upon my packing up and moving everything I own from NC to Nashville, signing a lease on a place, etc... he had disappeared into thin air. Which from what I have since read and found out is probably due to all of the money that he was owing and not paying.

My friend and I actually went driving around the city to find the supposed "office space" he had told me he was leasing, which, of course, was still empty. My friend then called Jason (who had obviously been avoiding my calls for days), and to my surprise he picked up. My friend simply acted like he had heard about his company, Iconic Music, and was wondering about his work. Jason told him that he was "based in Nashville for a couple years, but was now based in New Orleans." Obviously, everything he says seems to be a lie, but he may actually be in New Orleans now. Who knows.

Needless to say, I am now living in Nashville with rent and bills to pay and no job. Hooray, haha. I actually just found out his real name today and thus discovered all of this information about him and his scams online. It seriously blows my mind what some people will do with no regards for others. I realize he has stolen money from many people, and I am lucky that was not the case with me; but unfortunately, I changed my whole life and living situation in hopes of having a job that I now do not have. I really hope that he can be caught again and justice served so that he cannot do these types of things to other people.

The number he was contacting me from was 310-567-6053, claiming he had just moved to Nashville from LA in July. He texted me from this number as on Tuesday simply saying, "I ran into some very serious problems. I will call you tomorrow." I'm assuming his goal was to simply cover his tracks though and semi-explain away his sudden disappearance.

I met Jason Rashley (Whyte was what he went by) at the beginning of september 2012.  Said he worked at Warner Publishing and seemed to know all the big guys in Nashville (even at the bar, not just in talk).  Seems he had them fooled as well!  Told me he had a spot on a tour for me and if I had $400, he could make me an electronic EPK and gave me a receipt from the company Iconic Music.  Even gave me some decent advice that was sound!  Unbelievable how good this guy is at scamming.  Of course, I filed a police report just like I hope everyone else did.  He introduced me to some people in the industry that I work with now, so i guess that's what I'll consider the $400 for.  lol.  BTW, the number he gave me and texted from was 310-567-6053. Jason, if you're reading this, you should really hone these skills at something non-criminal dude.  I'm blown away I got duped, because I'm pretty sharp when it comes to these things.  Too bad you'll be in jail as soon as you show your face in Nashville again. You shouldn't pat yourself on the back for this.  I'm actually doing well in the industry, and you'll be in a prison cell.  Who's smarter now dumbass?

When did he first meet with you? Also, is it the Ocean View Hotel? I'm friends with the manager at the hotel in Nashville that he couldn't pay and they would like to send a friendly message to the management at the hotel out there.

Thanks for giving the update... He has moved quickly, he just left Nashville last week. He owes several thousands to people back this way. Richard is his real middle name. The research I've done says he's from Temperance, MI. If the background check is right his mom is Linda Rashley and his sister is Dawn.  He will claim the scars on his face are from minor league hockey, and he's too much of a p***y to have played at any level.

YEP I met this Jason Richard (pronounced "Rih-Shard") at a gig in Santa Monica CA yesterday and is currently calling me right now trying to get me to give him money to submit for 2 festivals in November that apparently pay a lot of money. It sounded like a scam from the minute I started talking to him. He called me today from the number (615) 669-1077 so everyone STAY AWAY. This is terrible that he would try to scam musicians of all people... we are already struggling so much to get by as it is.

No actually he is in Santa Monica California at Ocean Sands Motel near the boardwalk.  The moron was trying to scam me the past two days but It became increasingly obvious that it was a scam.  He's claiming to manage hip hop and rock acts now and I witnessed him rip off another poor artist for a meager $200.00.  He must be getting lazy or old because he contacted me through email as Jayson White, but then introduced himself to another potential victim right in front of me as Jayson Richard (Richard pronounced in some fruity french sounding way).  Thats how I was able to find his activity online.  His current website is iconicmuzik.com.  If anyone would like I'll gladly beat the living s*** out of him as is my way :)
