Dont' have this person call me again from this number

I called the number and a recording said no one was available to take calls.  Suspicious!  Obviously, it is a call that will use a recorded message.  I was on the other line at the time and couldn't take the call.  I called back as the area code is the same as for many family members & friends.  These companies are jumping all over the USA and calling from a different location or state frequently.  They are now trying to get close to your locality hoping to get you to answer the call.

We aren't senior citizens and we don't know how they got our number.  It is annoying - we just got the baby to sleep and the phone rings with a call we have no interest in - it borders on stalking by telephone.  Returning their call to the number on the caller ID gives a recording that says no one is available to take our call - ha - someone was just there to MAKE the call.  Ridiculous.

Called my grandmother.  She is old.  Calls are nasty.  Need to stop.

This number calls us at least five times a day Monday through Friday and this has been going on for the last two months.

My family and I have a relative who is very ill and hospitalized - we need our phone for emergency calls.

I finally had enough this morning when they called here for the third time and it was only 10:30 AM - a black guy answered and was very snippy with me.

Hope the business is out of business very soon so these calls will stop.

Please excuse the mispelled word "FARCE". Usually check my posts for errors (spelling especially), but failed to do so this time. But then again maybe my spelling in 1st post is more true about the Do Not Call list (without the C). The idiots trying to help us (in Wash. D. C.) just make things worse it seems!

Have a ph announces caller so if not someone I know or want to talk to don't even head for ph. Then BLOCK Nos. I don't want to call me, but that is getting full & these JERKS have so many Nos. they call from don't help anyway. Am on Do Not Call Lists too, but that does no good & it is just a FARTCE!!! The telemarketers also have a Do Not Call list available to just telemarketers, so theirs works better than we the people's does. That's why when you call them back their phs don't even ring etc.

I got a robo call from these scammers and they go into this long pre-recorded sales pitch. It sounds really scary and it sounds like something really bad is going to happen at any minute. They say that if I'm old, I can get free medical devices installed in my home, and that I need these supposedly free medical devices. The medical devices are supposed to be some kind of system to protect me if something happens to me. The message says  - press 5 to speak with an Emergency Medical Technician. If I really needed these devices and it really is free, then wouldn't my doctor tell me this? The caller never says who they are. They never give a company name or phone number to call. I agree that this is a scam.

Credit Card thieves. They prey on the elderly becuase they are generally the most gullible. I am in my thirties. Why would they call me?

Telephone terrorist. They call from a host of fake numbers. All the numbers are spoofed/faked. Caller ID is faked. They use computer robo dialed numbers. Your numbers are stolen, not randomly dialed. Calling the number back is useless. Numbers are generally fowarded/not real. Common sense, why would a company that provides a service and calls you to sell you something, not have a call center for returning calls (Ding ding ding). All they are interested in doing is stealing. THE MAIN REASON SOME PEOPLE GET HUNG UP ON IS BECUASE THEY LISTEN TO YOUR VOICE. IF YOU SOUND YOUNG, THEY CONSIDER YOU TO SMART TO CON. IF YOU SOUND OLD, SLOW TALKING, CRACKING VOICE, they proceed with their attempts. An old tactic. They arent going to waste their time on people who will figure them out. Doop and steal.

Blocking the number is useless. They will call using a host of other numbers.  (212-888-3150 is another one) I get these calls daily. Criminals are desperate. They stay in business becuase people fall prey. The best defense is REPORT and WARN! I cant stress that enough. TAKE THE TIME TO REPORT. DO NOT CALL list is effective, just not that effective. Report to Attorney Generals Office, contact FTC, local congressman, phone company, hosting phone company, and FBI. But more importantly, WARN OTHERS. Take the time to talk to your family, neighbors and friends. SERIOUSLY. Notify them about this fraud. The more people who fall prey, THE LONGER THEY STAY IN BUSINESS. IF they arent stealing ID and credit cards, they arent successful, which means they will eventually give up becuase it isnt profitable for them.

Robo calls are illegal. Company must provide adequate caller id and identification. They are criminals. CRIMINALS. Why would any criminal abide by the law. Hence why they VIOLATE the Do Not Call List. They dont care. Criminals dont care about the law.

Sounds like they are trying to sell home security systems to seniors. Pressing 1 disconnects the call. You cannot call the number back or talk to a person. Ive received this call twice this week.

Same message as Tom; I am on the DO NOT CALL list that congress voted themselves exempt from.  What a joke!

They don't leave a message and if you call back, there is a recording that says "We can't take your call right now."
On the caller ID, there is not a name, just a lot of numbers followiing a V

Same thing here, they hung up when I answered the phone.

Who ever is making these calls is not saying anything when I answer my phone.

Just got it again at 3pm today. I wonder how many times this will happen? I don't think reporting these numbers does any good but I do it anyways.

Got the call from this number, before I said anything I heard someone talking in a foreign language. I said "Hello" and line went dead.

Just got that same thing with you, Tom. I hung up right at the same point.

So much for me even trusting any local numbers at this rate. Insane.
