received scam message receiving free medical equipment on June 5, 2013....was on answering machine and cannot call back

Just got the call from 419-884-5035..."John from the shipping department". I selected "1" when they said to confirm shipment as I was hoping to talk to someone. There is never a live person and no other options to select. Line disconnected after that. When I tried to call back I get a "number not in service". No worries as I have a Glock on standby if and when they show up!

SCAM ON ELDERLY

This person is RUDE and annoying.  How can anyone believe is to be a GOOD sales tactic?

I seriously thought this was a local call.  Looks to be with the area code/prefix numbers.  Wanted to arrange for the delivery of my free medical alert device.  I understand that they try to sell these sorts of things to senior citizens, but I am not even 50 years old!!  Don't know wth they got my number from.  F*ckers!

The number your receive on your CallerID may bear no resemblance to the actual person calling. If the person/company calling has a certain type of connection from their telecommunications company, s/he can program the equipment to show whatever number that person desires.

This number was on my CALLER ID no message I get alot of these junk calls. ID said mansfield   oh at bottom

Thanks for the posts - I did take the suggestion and filed a complaint at donotcall.gov.  Don't know if it will help but at least made an effort.

A man just called, reading from a script, saying that they want to deliver a medical alert system that was already paid for by a friend, relative, or medical office.  I asked what was the name of the company, and the guy kept reading from a script.  I again asked the name of the company and he did not know what to say, other than it is already paid for and free to me.  I hung up.  This is some type of scam to get information for a sucker list.  Basically, any of us that are called are already on a "Sucker List" of people that might fall for a scam. If you get this call, ask for the name of the company and a phone number, so you can call back.  If it were honest, they would answer with a call back number.  Please do anything you can to make these scum bags miserable, such as tying up the line, telling them about some fake Aunt Sue with Alzheimers.  Tell them you are looking for her contact info and ask if they can hold the line.

I get calls from the 419-884-5035 number and also from an216 area code number that are very similar. T voice is pretty much the same and the name is john for the 419 caller. Gives a line of crap about getting ready to ship some security system or medical alert that has been pre paid, etc. As soon as they mention anything in the way of needing info, we hang up. Now we have it ID WITH CALLER ID. reverse number id says the number is in the lexington  ohio area and the toledo area.

Yet another number added to my "J" list. Sure hope these companies spend eternity in that place "H" and have to make calls to each other and be harassed for eternity. The so called "Do Not Call List" is a farce. The government apparently spent $50K for someone's idea of how to either eliminate or block these calls. Guess that's another Solyndra  deal. More wasted taxpayer money. Personally no longer answer any phone number not recognized then look up the number and added it to the "JUNK" call list.

A call from 419-884-5035 and No one there. I hang up and searched the internet for their number and found out it is a company scamming seniors.

Reported call to the police.  Beware; fast talking, may or may not be a robo call.  It definitely is a scam.  Just hang up.

A robot call selling medic alert system, I press 1 to talked to a live person. I told them, I have asked them to stop calling and am on the do not call list, the person immediately hang up. The phone number they used is a fake phone number and cant call the number. I report to the do not call list web site. I am planning to file a report with the Attorney General, if this scam artist company doesn't stop calling me. I notice and have found on Google, that this company uses many fake numbers to make calls. In addition, to the NY General Attorney calling this company a scam and do not give your personal information to these jerks.

It was another robo call. A worthless spammer. I don't have time. It said ohio call.  When you are looking for a. Job you need to answer the phone. You don't need b*****ds like this wasting your time!

I seen your post , 33 minutes after you posted I got the call here , according to another web site there fishing for info , they like old people like my Mom ,,, thats why im the gate keeper , I decide who comes in , and when to kickem out , good luck to all you people who don't have a gate keeper !!!

Caller ID says "Ohio Call".  This was a recorded message starting with "This is John calling from the shipping department..."  from some security system company that wants to send a security system that supposedly has been ordered & paid for by us or someone we know.  This is the exact same voice and recording that has come to our phone from phone number 216-264-2754 "Chicago".  Today I listened to the entire recording and at the end it said to press 5 to not be contacted again - which I did.  I also reported this number on donotcall.gov, and have reported the 216- number two times before.

Unfortunately there is nothing anyone can do about these calls.  Since they are technically not trying to sell you something, they are exempt from the 'do not call' list.

You can report them to your attorney general, but they have to have evidence of many multiple calls from a number to make an investigation.  These calls are actually being routed from a movable central number and various telemarketers, etc subscribe to them.  You will rarely get a call from the exact same number.  

Most of my calls come from numbers that are not in my state.  The phone companies do not seem to know who any of these numbers are assigned to.

Just got a call from them. They said a relative bought the system for me, and everything was free, including installation. I hung up!

and file a complaint. If you have time, do it every time they call. If another complaints are filed, perhaps law enforcement will finally put a stop to them. They are absolutely scamming people, and they are targeting the elderly.

sick of these calls. called cincinnat ibell to block calls but could not get the directions  on what to do. calls everyday. just wont pick up but it is damn disgusting
