Just discovered this "Missed Call" in my husband's Pay-As-We-Use-It Cell. I'm using it now as mine died recently. Fortunately, most of time he was carrying it, he was in an area with NO service, so he never even knew about these SPAM CALLS. I'm sure their robodialer got a message of "The cellular service customer you are trying to reach is not available now. Please try your call again later." THIS is why we DO NOT set up voice mail on our cells: NO SPAM MESSAGES! We simply call back any number we know, and IGNORE the REST!
SPAMMERS DEFEATED!
Its SAD that this has been going on as long as it has, though. THE GOVERNMENT should have BLOCKED this number by now.

So tired of these people calling. Always a spanish recording. I've stopped answering any numbers I don't know. They call from different numbers. It's annoying. Don't know how to block them, though.

No one else reading this page can ''please stop these calls''. Your caller, an obvious scammer, is not going to dutifully study random forum complaints. A legit or bogus caller cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments.

Always ending with the same last 4 digits "8989". I never pick up, just send them straight to voice mail, but when I did look them up individually, which is every time they call me, it seems like they are the same people calling...Spanish Telemarketer of a sorts. I barely got a new phone and number and they already called me in the 802 number. They need to stop!! Just a heads up to everyone in here.

I agree with you; you are so right.
I am frustrated with this government and the amount of FRAUD and CRIME that is being allowed to be perpetrated on LAW ABIDING TAX PAYING CITIZENS who just want to live their lives honorably and be LEFT ALONE by the SCUM out there - both RICH and POOR.
If this were happening to someone "Important" I'd bet they'd find a way to track these SCUMBAGS down and throw them in a cold dark prison for a long time, but because its just pestering the 'little' people, its allowed to perpetuate.
If these calls are generated off-shore, then find the rat-hole country and NUKE it!
If its some of 'our own' then put them in the cargo hold of the next space ship and BLAST them out to space - without spacesuit or breathing equipment!
