i got a call at 8:30 in the morn from witney saying the y have good news and bad and that i won a $1000 shopping spree at walmart. I know how these go never give any info they use the name from ur voice message and find out what they can if they see a  fish on the hook they wont stop and youll get calls form many other people probably even in her same office with her cold call lead sheet be aware

The same thing happened to me today. I said 19 then I said, but I don't want to be on any of your mailing lists. She said "that's too bad we will be giving it to somebody else" and hung up before I could respond. Is it bad that I said my age?

They said they got my information from a local magazine distribution company.  I never signed up for any magazines and has never given my number out as it is a work phone not my personal phone.  I call the number back and it just rings and no one ever answers.

They need to stop calling.

I told this number to stop calling me.  I did not sign up for no program and the number they are calling me is a work phone.

Call this morning (3/11/08) at 9 06.

Got a message on voicemail with a lady who bears a southern accent.  She laughed all of the way through her message saying that I had won a $1000 online shopping spree and I should call back.  Could not understand a thing she said for half of the message as she was laughing so hard.

telemarketing for credit cards sales... is what i got.

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME AND ASKED "IS CHRIS IN" THEN I SAID "THIS IS CHRIS"...THEN THEY HUNG UP

I CALLED THE # BACK NO ONE ANSWERED BUT VOICEMAIL "SAID THIS IS MEAGAN, LEAVE A MESSAGE".

I DO NOT KNOW THIS PERSON AND HAVE BEEN RECEIVING RESTRICTED AND UNAVAILABLE CALLS OFTEN.  

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS.  I AM BEING HARASSED BY A FEW PEOPLE IN MY TOWN.  I HAVE CONTACTED THE POLICE ON SOME BUT WANT TO KNOW WHO THIS WAS FIRST.

Rec call stating that I won $1000 for online shopping with Visa.  The operator went on to state they would send me a free magazine.  I was suspicious awaiting to see if she was going to ask for my ssn.  I then interrupted her and told her I was busy and to call back later.  Now that I know that is possibly a scam and since I have caller id on my phone, I won't be answering or returning her call.

I received three calls today from the following numbers: 423/317-8519, 317-9049, and 317-9129. I got the same pitch as the above comments, including the plea to "put in a good word for me, I'm new". What a crock. This is obviously a scam. What I'm wondering is whatever happened to the DO NOT CALL listing? How are these crooks getting around that? Does anyone have any ideas about that?

Got a call from 1 423-317-8519. I called back and "lindsey" told me she wld call me back when she fnd out why I got the call. When she did call she informed me I won a 1000.00 online shppng spree. I advised her I wasn't interested in any sweepstakes and to remove my#. We'll see if that works.

Calls me numberous times a day. Leave a message and answer return calls or stop calling!

this is a scam to get you money and credit card numbers!

I am getting multiple calls from multiple numbers...all hours....glad I did not answer.

This number keep calling even though I can't take it anymore. They are wasting my time.

i remember signing up for cashcrate and stuff. So I suppose they disclose my number to third parties. I keep on getting calls from this number.

This number called me and said that I was special picked and I won a $1000 gift certificate to use to shop online.  She told me that she was new and put a good word in for her (wow it is like other complaints I've been reading).  She told me that I would recieve 6 magazines for $3.40 a week and wanted to know my visa card information.  She said nothing was owed today.  She then put me on the phone with her "supervisor" who asked me questions about my visa card.  Do they really think I'm that stupid to give all my information out. If I won a sweepstake then why the heck am I going to give you my credit card information.

This number keeps calling me, but I dont pick up unknown numbers.  I finally called and they picked up and I didn't catch the name.  She asked for my name and number and said she would call me back so she can find out why I was called.  Then she called back about the sweepstakes, so  I was like fine fine, then she said I need to be called back from the gifting department.  And she kept telling me she was new and that she would appricate if I put a good word in for her (she said the exact line to me twice).  They call me back from a diffrent number and first thing she asked was about the last ladys service then procedded to make arrangments about payments, I told her I was no longer intrested.  She said she still wants me to get the promotion, I told her its the promotion I dont want, and she just said, ok thank you very much (in a not so nice tone) and hung up on me.
