They called me and I do not owe them anything.

If you work in the healthcare field, this is a legit call.  This is a TennCare person calling to either verify a claim, get information on a claim your practice submitted or something else.  It's not a scam or a telemarketer.  

Left automated message stating that they are BCBS calling with what I assume to be a customer satisfaction survey or something. Left a toll-free number to call back. I did call them for info just Wednesday, so seems legit to me!

My caller ID shows Blue Cross Blues. I have never answered and they have never left a message. I figure if it were important, they would leave a message and would ask I call them back.

This number is Blue Cross/Blue Shield of TN. It is not just TNCare, I currently have it through my employer. I let my call go to voicemail and it was just an advertisement of sorts suggesting ways to stay healthy

Called my cell, I did not answer since I did not recognize the number. I got a recorded voicemail message encouraging me to see my doctor to see what test they would recommend for me to take. Already had all my screeenings this year, don't want any more.

...except for the fact that the majority of these calls are from collectors chasing 8-year-old (read "uncollectible") debts, who are too cheap to verify the numbers on their phone lists, so they just use people that had nothing to do with it to verify their phone lists--for free.

I received eight calls in a row from this number. At first I let it ring, then checked for voicemail; there was none. I rejected the next three in a row. (Mind you, it's almost ten at night.)

After the fourth call, I sent a text message saying, "You have the wrong number. Please stop calling." But the text came straight back with an error message telling me to resend it to a valid number!

After the eighth call I Googled the number and found this page. From what I've read, it's supposedly Blue Cross/Blue Shield, however there are never any real credentials provided. Besides, I don't even HAVE BC/BS.

I have blocked the number.

I received an automated call twice in one day from this number. An unsolicited reminder about having well visits for children.
I have four children. I'm very aware of their needs and how to care for them. I was annoyed that my number
is on this registry.

I got a call, it was an automated message regarding customer satisfaction. I called yesterday with a question about my benefits, I'm guessing they want to make sure I was satisfied is all. I have Cover Kids TN Healthy TN Babies though, not TennCare. Just wanted to see if they covered breast pumps, they do not. Settle down.

Blue Cross DOES deal with TNCare. They are the providers of BlueCare. Which is a TNCare plan.

I hope you are not serious. I am an insurance agent, and thusly can tell you that TennCare has nothing to do with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. TennCare is the name for Tennessee state Medicaid, a government program which provides health insurance to low-income individuals and dependents. Blue Cross/Blue Shield is a private insurance company that has nothing to do with the government.

OMG at some of these comments!!! You DO realize that TennCare IS Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, right?! Anyway, TennCare is just the name of the BCBS plan that you are on. You don't have to be financially disadvantaged for an insurance company to call you with an automated message reminding you to stay current on your check-ups!
It's not a finance department or bill collector!!!
Calm down & hit ignore! Or better yet, send them an email and ask them to take you off their calling list. FYI, the DNC list doesn't apply if you agreed to receive calls (probably from checking a box or "initialing here" without reading the entire statement) from a company whom obviously provides health services to you.

I just got a call from this number, so this company has been harassing people since '09? I woke up this morning with a call on my cell, i didn't recognize the number nor the area code so i did a search on the computer and this was the first link that came up. I'm glad to know who it was now but I have no idea why they are calling me and why they don't get a 1 800 number or something? And yes, they did NOT leave a message with me either. Thank you for your posts everyone! Now I don't have to worry that I missed an important call.

While I'll agree that they're very annoying & they're a bunch of screw-ups, the part about being in Chattanooga is correct. They're directly off of I24 on Hwy 27 towards downtown, over on your left. If you're from the area, you know BCBS is the monstrocity of a building up on the hill on your left. The location is correct from the calls. The online "map" saying it's kingston springs area is screwed up. I dont like BCBS for insurance as they conveniently like to come up w/ways NOT to pay what they're suppose to cover. Like saying you're suppose to annually notify them there is no other insurance coverage for your family. You can do this by phone & the form they send you. But dont hold your breath that they'll acknowledge either being received or documented. They'd rather have their head up their butts & claim you havent gotten back w/them w/that info & deny coverage when you go to the dr or hospital. Then when you call in to complain they tell you it will be 7-14 business days before they'll have your account "updated". And calling you from a # & not

It is BCBS of TN...I am a subscriber of theirs and live in middle Tn. My call was an automated voice message reminding me to get my wellness exam with my PCP and my annual female wellness, as well as yearly mammograms. I have received maybe 2 calls per year as I am the only subscriber in my household. It actually reminds me to to get my checkups, so I don't mind. On the other hand, if I were the lady above with 6 children and they left that many too detailed messages, that would not tolerated and they would hear from me very vocally. Hope this helps.

I received a call from this phone number from a person giving his name as CRAIG WONG stating he is with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tn.  When I asked where he is calling from he told me he was in Chattanooga TN
and he was very loud and rude speaking to me about our request for coverage with BC/BS.  When I asked for his office phone number he avoided givng it to me.  I really didn't know why he was calling, when I asked if he was a Licensed Agent I was told HE WAS NOT LICENSED.  I didn't like his bad attitude and told him goodby.  I felt he had no right to call me because he was not licensed and as far as I was concerned unqualified to discuss my Insurance.  I have located from where the 423-535-5600 phone number originated from and found it is from the Kingsport/Johnson City Area, not Chattanooga TN area.  I did not like him lying to me about being from Chattanooga.

Won't leave messages. Calls and then calls back two hours later.

It is Blue Cross -Blue Shield of Tennessee.

I was on a conference call for my job, ( self emplooyed ) and I got a call on my main phone line from this number that caused total chaos with my conference call.

I called this number and they answered Blue Cross-Blue Shield, asked for my subscriber number.
Not telling them who I was they knew by accessing my file with my subscriber number.

The lady told me it was an automated call to check on my wellness, etc. etc.

I flew into the poor lady for the fact I had previously told them to put me on their internal do not call list for marketing and other puropses, except official billing, medical purposes.

I went thru a supervisor after the initial lady who assured me I would'nt get any more soliciting calls.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield health insurance calling to just say if you have health issues please don't forget to bring them up with your doctor on your next visit.  And if they are serious to immediately contact the nearest emergency room.  So just a reminder to tell the doctor what all is going on.

Oh my gosh!! This number just called my house and left a "medical" message, for all of my six children to hear, about a**l sex, oral sex, and graphic information about how you get STD's. PLEASE, people let's have a little common sense!!!
I absolutely want these calls to stop coming to my house. Today's was not the first, but it was the worst. Please remove my number from their list, or do whatever it takes to stop this insanity.

I don't check this site because I don't pay my bills, I do it either because I ignore or missed a call from an unknown number. I don't like dealing with telemarketers and often when they find that you will answer the calls only get more frequent.

I am receiving calls from this number, but they never leave a message. I do not answer calls from numbers I do no recognize.  Not leaving a message in my voice mail tells me this is not serious call but a general harassment.  I pay enough in premiums NOT to be pestered with calls with no incoming message.  Get a life, BCBST. or use proper phone etiquette and leave a message as to the intent of your call.

BCBS call once again, I have asked them 2 times in the past to remove my number from their calling list.

Stop with the nonsense comments.

It is simply a "Health Reminder" from BSBST (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee).... pay your bills folks, then you can answer your phones with confidence.
