A recorded voice said my card had been fraudulently used, and I was to input my debit card number, expiry, and PIN so that it could be re-activated.  I input made up numbers to hear the end of the recording.  This is the second such call I've received, but this time the voices and foreign accent were different.

Yeah. Every couple of months or so I start getting daily calls from this number. Someone who speaks with a heavy Indian accent indentifies themselves as a employee of Regional Shopping explains that I have been selected for a free vacation and $1000 online gift card. I kind of string them along but their accents are strong to the point of being unitelligable. Since their English skills are somewhat poor they don't have any sense of sarcasm or nuance. Its kind of fun to say crazy s**t to them. I've not yet taken it to the point of them asking for info. I usually just call them really bad names in a really nice tone. It takes a few minutes for them to pick up on it.

No one answers. It automatically hangs up when I pick up my cell phone and when i try to call it back it tells me this number is not in use.

The caller, with a heavy Indian accent, said that we had "won" a free phone from Verizon Wireless. We weren't buying into what they were selling. My wife put the call on speaker. We strung the call out for a few minutes before I informed them that we already had Verizon. This confused the woman, who put us on hold to ask some other person for advice. She came back on the line and thanked us for our time and ended the call.
I have no idea who this person was, but doubt they were in the United States or affiliated with Verizon Wireless.

most of the time there is nobody there. sometimes it will be someone i know from a local number. the caller id will say intl. call

Sexual harassment from this number.

This is a number used by the Skype computer phone service.  I know because I called my house to check my messages and this is the number it came in on.  The calls you are getting are probably from other Skype users around the world either trying it out or simply making a missdialed call.  In any case it is not a number you can call back.
If somebody is harassing you, then contact Skype at http://support.skype.com/en_US/support_request?  and enter an abuse ticket.

the number 1-423-535-9357 has been calling for over 50 hours straight.No voice

This is a VOIP number. Any person who signs up for www.voip.com account can call any US or CA number free from internet. And the number that displays to the other end is this number.

Has called several times. When answering the phone there is just silence and then the phone hangs up.

This number 423-535-9357 shows on my caller ID as LOCAL Number. However when I answer, it is my sister who is calling from oversea.

got a call from this number. they said that I could get my intress rate lowered I asked on what he said my major credit card. I don't have a major credit card just debit card. He said I owed 5000.00. I asked who does on what accnt. He hung up.

I have recieved MANY of these calls with no one on the other end...and also from 1-423-535-9564.. they are also calling my Cell and when I try to call them back it just says Network busy?!! or I just get a Busy signal..

Over the past couple of months, have gotten several calls from this number and nothing is ever said--just a bad connection and buzzing sound in background

I got the same thing this evening.  A friend called me, showed up on the caller i.d. as intl. number.  I answered it was my friend, and a very bad phone connection.  She hung up, called back, 2nd time unknown caller.  (and bad connection)  3rd time  the intl. number and very bad connection.  We couldn't talk long because of it, we could barely understand what the other was saying.

here's the thing... This number 423-535-9357 shows on my caller ID as INTL. Number. However when I answer it is always my best friend who is calling from her home phone and doesn't even live in the 423 area code area. It never shows for anyone's elses number only hers and not every time. I'm so confused.. I have contacted my local phone company and she her's and no can seem to explain it.

Repeated hang ups.
