I fell for this.  Went all the way.  Even bought something cause they say you get a 5 day, 4 night trip too.  Everything was good.  We came out with 3 day, 2 night, 5 day, 4 night to a specific location, 1000 worth of coupons, and 40% off their website.  I'm paying for all this crap now.  Odenza switches everything on you when you attempt to get the vacation.  For the 5 day, 4 night, you even pay $470 for all inclusive... We asked for hour money back from Odenza.  When I called chef world to complain, they were trying to convince me that this was not a scam and that I shouldn't buy their product because of the gift...I told them they advertise this way...There is so much more to the story.  I need to complain to someone and I'm going to get to the bottom of this.

After my fiance came to about her getting contacted with this Bridal Show, I was immediately suspicious.  I do not take anything lightly, expecially when it smells of a pyramid scheme or sales pitch.

I would not mind attending...however I wanted to do my homework FIRST!  SO I knew exactly what I was signing myself up for by attending.

If you reverse look up the number, you will find MULTIPLE  forums (just like this one, who are asking the same questions).  I m sure thats how many of you found this site in particular.  Everyone has the same 2 or 3 individuals who have contacted them with the same...YOU VE WON line.  I m not saying dont go, etc.  However, being educated on the what information is out there is beneficial.

Here is what info I have been able to dig up on this SCAM:
Apparently this company works either with or thru Bridal Showcase from Bluffs City, TN.  The company selling the cookware is Chef's World Inc.

You can look at their website  <http://chefworldinc.com.html> and <<http://chefworldinc.com/promotions.html>>

Once there, there is in fact a link to a promotions tab.  Read carefully...it is the EXACT same sales pitch as the one the woman is giving everyone.  I personally do not care for this since it is misrepresenting the fact that they are luring newly weds and newly engaged couples into an event that is a sales pitch for a totally UNRELATED company.  As expected, this is a marketing campaign put on by the Odenza Marketing group.

Their website can be found here:
<http://www.odenza.com/>

If you read the fine print on the Chef's World Promotions Page, which is conviently prohibited from being enlargered, you will note.  It says you must do the following prior to retrieving your "FREE" 3 day, 2 night Hotel stay:

1) You must submit the form a minimum of 60 prior to requested vacation date
2) You must send of a deposit of $50.00, via money order or Bank Draft to the Odenza Marketing Group
3) It then states that you will then recieve further correspondance
4) The page DOES state that Hotel Taxes ARE NOT included.
5) It does state that this prize is for 2 people ONLY.  I read on one forum about how a couple with a New Born was turned away as a result of having the child in attendance as well.

In my conclusion....its a waist of time.  I value my time highly and will NOT be attending.  I shared my findings with my Fiancee and we have both agreed not to go.

Again, this is not an ANTI-who-ever-the-H**L is actually putting this thing on.  I am just listing the facts and information I HAVE FOUND.

On a final note... I find this extremely interesting.
1) Bridal Showcase is based out of Bluffs City, TN
2) Odenza Marketing Group is based out of San Diego, California.
3) Chef's World Inc DOES NOT LIST AN ADDRESS or Phone Number.
4) Everyone who has posted about being contacted, not a single one is in either Cali or Tennessee from what I have found.   Makes me wonder what kind of laws their are protecting the people being contacted by out of state parties that are so far apart and vague (?)

I received a phone call from a very nice lady who gave me a claim # and then a # to contact Tiffany.  I think with the few successful reports on here - - why not.  The free hotel stay just for listening could be my honeymoon...would be very nice considering the economy these days.

If my fiance and I can sit through an hour long talk about Disney Vacation Club just to get free fast passes - I think we can handle this.

Well, I received a phone call from "Tiffany" today, and of course it sounds too good to be true. But I mean.. why not just go check it out and see? Some say its legit, others don't and quite frankly, I'm not sure who to believe. Anything is worth a shot if you are short on money :)

I'm with you.  The people were nice.  We couldn't get any of their things but they were really nice and professional and gave us the gifts for going to the thing.  What's wrong with that????  We had a good time and will get their stuff sometime.  It's nicer than what the stores have.

Grow up loser.  I liked the show and the people.  You are an unhappy person or something.  We bought their stuff and they gave us a bunch of stuff for the money and a Carnival cruise that is legit.  I went to the Great Bridal Expo on the "paper" ticket thing and guess what.. we got in free with the "paper" ticket and saved $20.  Dang y'all.  Don't listen to losers like this.  Might miss something good.

Hey.  These people are wrong about Tiffany.  She was nice and told me the truth about what I was getting and where I was going.  Some people are just too dumb to get a good deal I guess.  Maybe someone who appreciates it will get the gifts you passed up.  The products were good at the program, called Chef World, and I got some of them.  I am happy.  So???

You people are paranoid or something.  Tiffany was nice.  I went to the program and those people were nice and informative.  I learned a lot about products people buy and register for, and I'm glad I did.  By the way the gifts for attending (it is not a contest) are real, and these people are not a timeshare thing either.  Grow up!

I just got off the phone with Tiffany...who sounded extra chipper today! I thought I was one of the lucky few (10 out of 200) people to win a cool vacation! Thanks to the posts, I will be avoiding the sales pitch this Saturday night! Is there ever such a thing as a free trip? Nope, apparently not.

I receieved a call about 2 weeks ago from Tiffany. I asked her a lot of questions and she really seemed to know what was going on. She asked if I would be able to meet at the hotel on Sat. but i wasn't. She then had a lady by the name Donna call and schedule appt for the next Sunday @ 2pm. My finance was out of town working so she said that she would call back with more times on Sunday but i have not heard from her since. Tried to call Tiffany but no response yet. oh well sounded like a good thing, but guess not. If i hear anything i will let everyone know.

I just recieved the same call. Wolf - I specifically asked her since I found your message if I would have to pay taxes and fees and she said NO. After reading the posts, I am thinking maybe it is not worth the time...Have you called the travel agency to see how much a weekend would be?

Don't go - it's a waste of time and YES - it is a scam.  Are you interested in $2000 of surgical steel cookware?  The free $1000.00 in groceries is a mailer for coupons.  You have to send in $4.95 'shipping and handling' for your "membership".  Scam, scam.
The free tickets for the bridal show voucher was printed on copy paper.  I'd really rather just use the buy one get one in the Bridal magazine that came from Macy's.
The "free" vacation...if you read the fine print, you will see that you have to pay taxes and additional fees.  Mine reads $39/night in fees, plus additional.  It was confusing.  The company it's through is a travel agency - trust me, they will make money somehow.
Don't waste your time.  A nice hotel can be found online for nearly the same price.
It's an hour lost of my life - trust me.

I got the call from Tiffany too.  I called back and left a message - it would be great if it's legit.  I googled the phone number and got this:
Bridal Showcase
400 Pine Laurel Cir
Bluff City, TN 37618
(423) 538-4500
Looks like it's an Bridal Boutique.

Just got off the phone with her.  Her company is called Chef's World, and there is a meeting at a local hotel.  The prize is a free vacation and bridal show tickets.  It's close by, so I'll check it out and report back.

Yep, I just got the same call today from the same Tiffany about the same "prize" I've won....This doesn't sound vaguely worthwhile or even legitimate to me.  Maybe I'll try attend an Amway meeting instead. Ha.
I should've never signed up for that stinkin' bridal show.  The bottom-feeders are crawling out of the woodwork.

I went to this presentation back in Washington state about two years ago. My fiance and I actually bought cookware. To the tune of 2,000. Best cookware we ever bought. We were given a free vacation that we never used and it expired. So it's not a scam, and if you plan on going away for your honeymoon somewhere local or sometime in the next year it is completely worth it.

I knew it sounded too good to be true.  Tiffany just called me too.  She told me that she was with Bridal Showcase, but when I asked her where I could read more info about the contest and prizes, and she told me to goto todaysbride.com.  That site also doesn't exist.  There's a todaysbrideonline.com out of Ohio, but I'm in Ga.  There's also a todaysbride.net and .ca (canada).  Glad I found this site!  Thanks for the update, Jen.

It's really a hotel room for three days and two nights, but they have places all over the country like Vegas, some Florida beaches and lots of others, I don't remember the others because Vegas and the beaches were the destinations that interested me. Neither travel nor food were included. But hey, it's a free hotel stay! If you pick a place you can drive to, it makes for a cheap weekend getaway. At the presentation that I was at, there were only a few. It depends on how many people are available at the times that they have open. Also, there were a few that said they were going to be there, but didn't show. As far as if you should go, that is up to you. It was worth it to us to go.
