This number calls me everyday. It says that it's out of Tennesse.  I finally picked up and a man asked for someone who aparently had this number before me.  I said he had the wrong number and he asked to speak to the person in charge of the phone.  When I asked why, we got disconnected.  Very strange.

....Also, when I called it back, it was a Verizon message telling me that the number dialed was not in service.

I too am getting phone calls from this number- they have called three times in the last week (twice today).  Each time they've called I've been away from my phone so I was unable to answer and they did not leave a message.  I called the number back out of curiosity and it was the same Verizon message above stating the number was not in service. Any answers would be helpful.

This number called me few weeks ago it was a phone solicitor I told him I was not interested.  I then informed him that my number was on a do not call list and told him not to call me again.  The number then called me yesterday but I was unable to answer it, and did not leave a message.  They then called again today and I answered it was the same man that I spoke to earlier.  I told him again to stop calling me and that it was illegal to call a number on a do not call list and to not call me again.  He whispered into the phone F*** You twice and hung up.  The number is out of Bristol Tennessee, it cannot be called back though.  The number comes up as not listed, I hope this will help this number from harassing people.

A man called from this number. After 2-3 "hellos" on my end, he finally said he was from "best management" something or rather.  Said he sees that I have unsecured debt and would like to talk to me about it.  I told him I'm not going to talk to him about my personal finances.  He said "but we can help you", I repeated myself, told him to have a good day, and hung up

Caller ID says its from a cell phone in Tennesee.

Somebody from this number called this morning 6-17-09. I do not want to answer. Any idea who or wich company this is?

It might be a TN number the guy who just called me sounded like he was in India.  I could barely understand due to his accent and poor phone connection.

I had a call from 423-742-6843 and i answered it and they said something but it was going in and out and i couldnt understand them so i hung up and they called back and left a voice mail and said F*** You B****! I am not happy about this at all.

423-742-6843 calls me on a regular basis! I have answered and sometimes it sounds like there is no one there, sometimes it's a telemarketer for insurance, and I can't remember all of them. I did try to call back once and it went to a recording that said it was disconnected! Maybe it's one of those numbers that is temporary that telemarketers use that is traded in again and again. But it needs to stop!!! So annoying - when I see 423 I just push the reject button on my cell now. Just got a call 15 minutes ago, while at work so decided to try to look it up. Says Bristol TN. Don't know anyone there!

I got the call today on a tmobile g1 and I called back and there is ringback music and then it turns into people having sex. I tried to give the number to a friend but it said disconnected. But everytime I call from my phone I get the sexline. Ha any1 else experience this?

if you have a cell phone your phone company can black the number or you can do it online in your account through your phone company.  I know for a fact verizone has this option.  I have used it in the past and will use it for these guys as well.  Hope this helps

I, too, have gotten phone calls from this number. I have not answered it when they call, and they leave no message. Called the number back and it's a Verizon message saying it's been disconnected.  Perhaps the Verizon message was recorded to a voicemail or answer machine to give the illusion of a disconnected phone when it's not.

I have been getting the same calls. Like everyone else, they never leave a message. When I picked up today it was a man who told me I had been selected to receive a special offer from some pharmacy. I didn't catch the name because there was a several second time delay, he had an Indian or similar accent. I told him to take my number off his list. I have NO idea how he got my number.

4-5 calls per day for the last week now!  this is unbelievably annoying, and Im about to change my number

I have gotten repeated calls from this number.  When I answer there is no one there.  How can I get them to stop calling me.

Calls me every single day at least 5 times a day.  They never say anything its always dead air.  Its pretty annoying and from what others are saying why is the Government or Feds doing anything aobut it.

I have received six calls within the last two weeks, all within 8-5 while I am at work and unable to answer. I called back and it was an automated Verizon disconnected number. I have no debt and really want them to leave me alone. How do I get them to quit calling without having to change MY phone number???

they just call and hang up. 3 or 4 times a day. if you have a jail broken iphone, use black list to get rid of them

Received numbers calls from this number - no voice on the other end - obviously scammers.  Anyone know how I can 'block' this?  UNBELIEVABLE!  Caller ID came up as "No Name"

i recieved a call from this number and they were trying to sell me a new health insurance plan that was better than any other!lol. i told them that they were scammimg and they hung up. when i tried calling back the number was not in service! damn scam artist!and they call in the middle of the night,im sure it is  daytime in there country!

This is crazy.  I found the area code after I didn't recognize it, and it is in southeastern Tenn.  I'm glad to see I'm not the only one this is happening to.  I thought I was going bananas.  How can I be getting calls from a disconnected line?  Spooky, right?  I need to follow some of the advice that you folks here were so kind to post.  Thanks!
