Oak View Law Group is not a scam.  They are a valid CA law firm - though there's not much nationally known about them.  The BBB and Dunn & Bradstreet both have them listed.  There is nothing on the BBB website in regards to complaints about this company.  There's nothing on the web really that EXUDES confidence either.

I have received the same type of call and the were saying that i owed for a payday advance and i owe $550 and I needed go pay in full or the police would be on my job and i could loose my job and spend jail time up to 7 years.  This was a scary moment because I received ths call while i was at work.  Beig scared at that time i gave in and gave my debit card number to have money deducted of $150.  After sleeping on it I ha my account changed and changed my number.  They then started calling my job and has threaten to call my boss and have me arrested.  I called them back and let them know  that i knew that they were running a scam and i was not giving them another dime uness i could get some type of documentation of what was owed, the name of the company and when thei tranaction tool place.  they stated that ehy would have their lawyer send something within 48 hours after i clear the matter.  and they begin yelling at me and telling me to shutup and the indian accent that even stronger.  The offcers name was Officer John Marsh @ 567-244-1993.

Recieved calls from them everday three times a day. They were vbery disrespectful to my wife and I. So i called them and played this little game with them and the same Indian man would change his name and says he is the manager. So change your number people and obvisouly stay away from these payday loan compaines because they had me so heated lucky i cant find these crooks!!

Oh, and the number they called me from this past time was (508)-313-2173. I talked to a lady first, named Beth and then talked to some guy, but can't remember his name. All of them had a very strong indian accent, like everyone else has said. I hope this helps someone.

I got a call a couple weeks ago but can't remember the number. They told me I had a payday loan that defaulted from USA cash advance or something. When I asked them when I supposedly took this loan out, they couldn't tell me. Then, I told them I wanted to investigate it with my bank. I looked back and I had never gotten a payday loan online for the year 2010 like they were saying. So, they called back today and told me they were the "Oak View Law Group", I quickly googled it and found out it was a scam. I told the guy that I had done some research and knew this was a scam and all he said was, "ok, bye".. These people are ridiculous. I never gave them any info, so I hope they can't get any of my bank info or anything like that.

i called 411 they also told me it was a number in flordia. they almost had me i am vunerable because my sister just passed away i was ready to give them my debit card number thank god I didnt. After asking them for there phone# and address thing jusst didnt add up. I thank the angel of god my sister

I got a call from Allan King and Mr Lawson claiming to be from federaldebt burea. They stated I owed quicknet and cashnetusa money totaling 5000. I was told I defaulted on a payday loan. I knew I never took out a loan with either company. They told me if i didnt pay a police would be at my front door monday morning taking me to jail. it was in my best interest to pay the debt go to walMART and get a prepaid debt card put 400 dollar on it or i could fax a letter giving them autorization to debt the money from my debit card in this fax they needed my 16dgt card card # and a copy of my ID. needless say I didnt do it, instead I contacted my bank and inform them about the co. just incase someone tried to illegally take money out of my account. These people had all my info social security# home address, workaddress and phone#. Am glad I found this site to see that this whole thing is a scam.

They left a message and told me to call 209-220-4480. An Indian sounding man harassed me and told me I would go to jail if I didn't pay him $543.16. I definitely know that I do not have an outstanding payday loan. However, I have taken a payday loan and am in good-standing. The man would not give me the name of the payday lender that was suing me and simply said that he was suing me on behalf of Pay Day Loan in general (over 250 websites). They said they would not email my the law suit documents. I have reported them to the Alabama State Attorney General and am having my lawyer issue them a Cease and Desist letter. I closed my bank account and am changing my social security number.

I have been receiving harassing calls from some indian guy claiming i owe money on a loan.  He uses the name william scott, william davis, abe walker, and peter something...They have called both my work numbers and recently called two of my friends cells.   How the hell they got their numbers is beyond me.   I called local PD and they called the number back and an * year old boy answered and police spoke to his mother ...she said it was her sons tracphone.  They are re-routing their calls through other numbers...Bunch of scumbags.   Police also told me the received another call from someone saying they were getting same harassing calls as me.  I was told to Have these people call me back at the PD main number....lets see what they say now!!!  LOL

My fiancee recieved the same phone calls. A david walker one time on a voice mail and then david parker. He had a strong accent. He said that he had a payday loans that he never paid back in the amount of 400. He said if we didn't pay it back right then and there he was taking us to court. Then we were going to have to pay 5000. Plus late charges. He had all my fiancee info. Ssn check card number checking number address where he worked ect... He wanted me to send him to different faxes so they could take a payment out of our account so we wouldnt have to go to court. I didn't send them anything. These people need to be stoped. They have no right. Ive turned them into the FBI and state police if anyone else recieves these phone calls dont give them any info. They needed to be stopped!

I received a call just like all of the other posts the numbers were 209-623-4683 and 401-218-0347. the second number is a google cell number which I didnt even know could exist.  I have contacted an attorney because they are calling me at work and I am going to file charges with my states attorney's office.  let me know if you guys can think of anything else to stop these idiots

OH and ps i also reverse traced there number with some free app on my smart phone didnt wanna pay big bucks for exact location but it came back to yulee florida if that helps anyone.

they keep calling me saying i took out a online loan which i never did. they have my last name wrong my address wrong and could not tell me the amount that i supposidly took out. they told me that "people were coming for me in 24 hrs and taking me to the courthouse". I asked them which courthouse they could not tell me they said i was going to jail and that they called my boss and that he said i was fired. I have been laid off for over 2 yrs! they wanted me to pay over 5,000 over the phone then when I asked what bank the money was put into they said "municipak bank" I told them well never heard of it. I've had the same bank for over 12 yrs. The people were very hard to understand very thick accents, they went as far as threatening my life on my voicemail

These people are CROOKS that will burn in Hell one day.  I also got the same names,#'s,etc... they took me for $964 on a loan,then they call me back and said I owe Them.  I have,FBI,FCC,BBB,attorney generals in FLa,MI,and NJ,they are trying to track them down,they will be caught one day,or something really bad will happen to them for doing this to good people,DO NOT SEND THEM $$$.

Yeah i got the same call.. saying i owe 800 bux or i was gonna get sued// i told them to screw off.. i also faxed them hundreds of times just to bug the heck out of them.  i also called them and harrased them back all the time.. ha ha 2 can play at this game..

This Number Said they were Quick Cash Net, then Crime Center of America. "David Walker" and "Alan King", (Seem to be Same Indian Speaking Person) were very Obscene with their language. They have NO Idea what they are doing, what they are talking about, and need to be stopped and arrested for their constant harassing, obscene phone calls.

My boss has recieved phone calls asking for me from this indian speaking person about me or my attorney needing to contact them or the sitituation will unfold on me. I dont owe anything and i looked into a pay day loan but never got one, so thats where they got my info, but this is a scam. he only hangs up and has a full voicemail when u call from your number once he knows your on to there bulls@*t. He has said to be david jackson and they answer the phone differently sometimes, claiming to be a law office.the ext is 423366 of the joker who harrases me at my bosses phone number. Im not finished with these guys, there going to get whats coming to them. I believe this a scam and it seems to have just started in the first week in febuary. BE CAREFUL!!! dont give them any money.

Yes, they are calling from several different numbers.  724-365-9968, 949-502-0123.  Both have called me today at work. David Jackson, Mike Anderson, and when I called one back, he was James Garner. I gave him the Attorney General number for Illinois and said she was expecting his phone call, maybe they will stop

these idiots called me AND a co worker at work today! They tried to get account numbers from him, and tried to tell me he is in legal trouble and used me as a reference. STOP THESE SCAMMERS!

I received a threating from call from a person named Jeff Moss on my government issued cellphone stating that if I disregarded the call and didn't call him back that day that all he could do was standby as things unfold around me. The first call came from an unknown number the second call I received was the same threating message from the same person from # 714-006-6000. I called him back at the number he left on the message 310-974-8960 and a guy named James Garner took the call. He sounded like he had an accent from the middle east. He proceeded to tell me that I had defaulted on a pay day loan with quickcash net and they had decided to write off the money and press charges against me. Being military, I automatically flipped the script on them and told them that the federal government made it illegal for payday loan companies to lend money to active duty military and I would be going to legal and the FBI about this and next thing I know they hung up on me. I called them back and received voicemail that was full. I continued to call them and finally a lady picked up the phone claiming her name was Natasha did not catch last name, and asked for the person I was talking to and she supposedly didn't know that person and she hung up on me. I called back again and this time got a david clark, and I told them that I was aware that they were a scam and I would be contacting the FBI and the National Fraud Hotline and all he could say was Thank you and hung up. If you do receive a phone call from these people, please do not send them any money because they are a scam and we all need to take a stand against these people and bring them to Justice.

I got a call from david jackson he said I got a payday loan from a company called quick cash.net first he said i needed to pay 75% of the 698 he said I owed. then if i did not pay i would get sued and would have to pay over $5,000.00.  I asked for the name of the payday loan company he said he would give me that after i paid so finally after about 3 days of going back and forth he said I could pay $100 on 3/24/2010 and $500 on april 4th and that would take care of it.  I was not feeling right about paying them i thought it was a scam, I am glad I checked on the internet first.  It was a person  with an Indian accent and then he said I had to speak to someone to give my credit card info to and he had the same accent, and one time I called back there was a woman who picked up with the same accent, and she acted like she did not know why I was calling.
