Just got the call. After my husband told them we speak english, they rattled off a string of spanish and my husband hung up.

Got a call from this number. I didn't answer.

I also received a call from this number and they told me the same thing. I how ever did wire them some money will not do again. changing my bank account

Same guy david collins calls and harrasses me at work and our cells phones with threating messages, says I owe on a payday loan 300.and to pay him 950 to drop law suit . Such a scam, why can't this guy get caught? There numbers. 707-633-2787 or 707-636-2788 and 559-  ,
They say they are from american legal service or american credit cruncher.

I would make sure the proper people know he has your SS# and take measures to make sure your identity isnt or wont be stolen. Life Lock maybe? I dont know...

I am the boss so I am not really worried about that. the bank account number that he gives when he calls is to an account that I do not know. the thing that worries me the most is that he has my work, cell, friends numbers, my adress, birth date and social security number. I have gotten a copy of my credit report and so far nothing is on there that should not be.

Besides not answering the phone and blocking all the numbers from these people, no. I would go to your bank, explain whats going on and that they have your bank account numbers. Have the bank close them out and open a new one.

I would also explain everything to your boss, if you havent yet and tell them that its a scam and to just hang up and block the numbers.

He also goes by the name Aaron with the united legal department. Also David collins with federal legal inforcement. He uses a prepaid Cingular wireless phone from Florida, and gets a different number every week. He calls me at least once a week.

i got a call from this number today. This foreign man uses the name David Collins saying that I took out a payday loan and never repayed it and that if I do not pay him by credit card I will be arrested for federal bank fraud and theft by deception. He has all of my personal information and is calling my work as well as my friends and family. He has been calling me once a week for the last 3 months, each time with a different phone number. I have reported it to the police who do not seem to want to do anything, and i have also filed a report with the attorney generals office. Does anyone have any tips on how to get this scam artist to stop harrassing me?

I received the same type of call. The caller (Wince something or other) stated he had an affadavit that there were charges against me for not repaying a loan.  He stated I could settle out of court for $850 or go to court and pay $4500 and he would get me fired from my job.  I wanted to see how far this guy would go so I told him I would settle out of court but I wanted to talk to his supervisor.  His supervisor, Leo Rogers (this guy's accent is definately indian, there is NO WAY he is English/American) stated I had to call him everyday to update my "legal file" and was to ask for the password he gave me.  He stated if the person who was supposed to be him did not give the correct password I was to hang up.  I called a friend to check in on this.  My friend called this guy who immediately started saying this was none of his business, etc.  "Leo" then called me saying I must want to go to jail and did he need to remind me he could and will get me fired from my job?  

It's a scam.  They cannot provide any legal documentation stating who they work for or a detailed list of what you owe and why.  They also will not provide a copy of the "affidavit" they hold over your head.

The person just called me about 3 minutes ago with the same lines as everyine has stated.  They can barely speak english.  He said his name is James Hardy.

This is getting ridiculous. I am getting calls from this same number back to back at my job, at my home, and on my cell phone. He is demanding that I wire funds to him or he will have me arrested and I will be fired from my job. He is saying it is for a loan I took out that I know nothing about. I have taken out a police report. It stopped for a few days after taking out the police report, but then started again today. I don't know what to do about this constant harrassment.

He then told me I was going to lose my job and he was going to put me in jail.  I'm on my way to the police right now.  I have no idea what type of scam this is and I will not stand for it!!!  This is extortion - he is calling my job and my relatives.  The investigator at the police department is waiting on me to come and file a report.  Hopefully, the FBI can track this idiot down because the investigator said they are already on the case.

Man could barely speak english, then he proceeded to ask for someone who did not live here, when I said so, he called me a liar, told me I was going to lose my job and that he would sue me. VERY RUDE. This is most def. a harassing Telemarketer/Collection Agency. DO NOT ANSWER IT.
