I'm sorry you were one of the many victims of the nine toe bandit (Randall Goins) but that has nothing to do with New Leaf Solutions LLC.  There is not nor has there ever been any affiliation between New Leaf Solutions LLC and any of his companies.  The owners and some employees are also victims of his but that is where it ends.

The following states all have a statute of limitations of 10 years IL, IA, LA, MO, RI, WV.
The Statute is 15 years in KY, and OH.

Same trick language as in "unknown" above plus I noticed the caller claimed to have sent the letter to a previous address from the debt records other than the one on my credit reports. Then he used my married name from the credit reports which have my current address. That debt collector is so SOL. I'm not the person he's looking for. I'll watch the local court case files like a hawk. I haven't found any "New Leaf" cases filed in my jurisdiction.

First of all, you were the victim of identity theft.  You should not be responsible for the debts of a thief - even if he lived with you at that time.  Secondly, they MUST send you a debt validation letter and proof that you even OWE the debt!  I would also tell them that if they can't or won't send you a copy of the ORIGINAL contract showing YOUR signature, then you are not legally bound to pay this and they are in danger of being sued for FDCPA violations.  And - they could not garnish your now-husband's wages because he is not even linked to the debt!  Go see a consumer attorney for a consultation - many times, the initial visit is free.  However - I would NOT pay them a dime - it's outrageous that they are holding you responsible for the actions of your long-ago boyfriend who STOLE your identity!  Please at least go see an attorney for a free consultation - he/she will be able to give you some good advice on how you want to proceed.

The Better Business Bureau gives them an "F" rating.  If you believe they are violating the law, then file a complaint with your state Office of Attorney General, Consumer Protection.

These people have been calling me for 2 days.  They have my SS# and my date of birth.  They say they are collecting on an account and I don't even know if it is mine.  I know that sounds irresponsible, but about 12 to 13 years ago I was in a relationship with a man who moved in with me.  He got my information from some papers I had left out and applied for credit cards in my name.  The 2 accounts I found out about I tried to fight, but since I admitted that he lived with me they said I was responsible and I settled on them.  I have been paying much closer attention to my credit in the past couple of years.  The account that New-Leaf is trying to collect for has not shown up in the past year.  They (employee Angel and Manager Joe Spiller) said they just bought it from Associates National Bank, but Associates National bank must be out of business because I can find them no where.  If they ever reported the account to the credit bureaus it has been over a year.  After calling me these people looked me up on facebook and got my husbands name and a place he used to work and they are saying they will start proceedings to garnish his wages if I do not pay the settlement amount in one day.  They are not even giving me time to investigate the account.  If this is my debt from my ex it is well over the statute of limitations.  Is this something I need to get an attorney for? If I do then New Leaf will not honor the settlement amount.  If it is owed I want to pay it to fix my credit, but $500 is a lot of money to lose.

These people tried to call me recently. I didn't answer since I figured they were another solicitor or another one of those overseas scam artists. Nice to see they were just another home-grown debt-scam business instead. What a relief! <sarcasm>

Well, since I already know that all of my debts are already either in a an arrangement with another company or past the statute of limitations for my state, I'm quite certain they had nothing worthwhile to talk to me about. I have a few debts, I'll admit, financial straits will do that to anyone. But, I keep excellent records. I'm OCD that way.

Good luck getting anywhere with the Khimaera, New Leaf. Somewhere I have an award for "Services Rendered On Behalf of The Consumers" for "Insisting upon truthful statements from a call-center representative to the point where they were forced to terminate the call because they could not provide an honest answer." We call that a major win for the consumers when a call-center rep hangs up on the consumer instead of the other way around.

Double-check your records, NLS, and make sure your information isn't out of date or illegal before you contact people. Although, from the sound of it, I may be a little late to be saying it. It sounds like you're already set in your ways.

These companies are all scams, the debts are illegally purchased and we only use scare tactics to obtain the money, after i came to learn of the fraudulent nature of the company I quit, shortly after the company put a stop payment on my paycheck..one i received while still employed. I am now embroiled in a case with them lawyers, BBB, L&I, other former employees, attorney general so on and so forth, Randall Goins/ James Alexander/ J. Westerfelder ( A new alias goins used to get a bank account with wellsfargo) will  be forwarding info to them to let them know they are holding money for a criminal company. Bothell police informed me to file all possible civil complaints and call them back. Goins has a pile of warrants for his arrest stretching back to west Virginia. did 7 years in prison for shooting someone. If you get calls from these people. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING!  
Answer the phone and politely tell them im sorry i dont know anyone by that name, claim you just got the number a year ago and have been receiving calls from other companies as well.. say thank you and all that s*** and hey should just remove your number. thats the easiest way, once they find out its your number your f****d, they will call and call and call.
Randall Goins time is limited, we have your scripts, we have all the names of your management staff, Scott, Sean, Amanda, Jessica, Jessie, Shoreh, Marcelino, JC. all will be included..

A man named Kevin Scott called me from New Leaf and tried to harrass me into paying $19K on a credit card I never owned!  Little does he know I'm a business owner who makes over $100K a year and I do NOT have outstanding debts.  When I refused to confirm important, PRIVATE information over the phone - i.e. social security #, date of birth, etc... he began irate.  I'm going to report this fraudulent company to the FCC.  Thankfully, I still have this phone number and these web reviews to back me up.

I can't believe anyone in their right mind falls for these scammers!

This scum just called me. I know they're buying bad/charged off debt. I filed Ch7 in Oct 2005 and have 100% beautifully perfect credit and haven't had so much as a 1 day late payment since.I am so pissed that they called and threatened me with a civil suit. You people need to CHECK YOUR DEBT before you BUY IT because you are buying charged off debt that you CANT SUE FOR. I am going down to my local police station tomorrow so I can file a report. I will keep track of every call and sue for harassment if they try anything. :)

I can assure you this is not a scam.  We give everyone the opportunity for a fresh start prior to reporting negative to the credit bureau.  If you have a file in our office it is because it has been sold by the original creditor because you failed to meet the obligation you agreed to.  Our office is in Everett Washington but we have files originating from all 50 states.  We do have the legal right and ability to sue.  It is never our desire to see someone have a judgment and additional costs if it can be avoided.  Most of the time we can work something out with people to resolve the matter.  Unfortunately some people refuse to pay and an account must be considered for civil action.

I received a call from this number. The only thing that is on my current credit report that is derogatory is a cable tv bill for $166. Am I to believe I'm going to have a civil suit filed against me for that? And why are theysuing me from the farthest place on our continent from me? I think it's some scam.

junk debt buyer... New Leaf Solutions. called & left a message saying that if I did not call back, then it would be a canidate for formal or involuntary processing.  Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:
-you will be arrested if you don?t pay your debt;
-they?ll seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless they are permitted by law to take the action and intend to do so; or
-legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don?t intend to take the action.

if the debt is older than 3 years from date of last payment, debt collectors can't take you to court.

Also, they failed to mention that they are a debt collector in their voicemail, another violation. My lawyer is going to love this! I have successfully sued 3 debt collectors for violations, they had to pay me!!

1505 Roy Rd is a small office building that was previously home to New Leaf Solutions LLP. The trees in the Google image block the entire building from view. In November 2011 The company reorganized and moved to its current Everett location as New Leaf solutions LLC. The change from LLP to LLC required a new business license from the state and a new UBI number.

I would like to apologize for my previous post. It was inaccurate and inflammatory. This company is not in fact associated with known criminal/racketeer Randall Goins.  The owners are in fact victims of him. I have also learned that they can report accounts to the credit bureau and have the ability to obtain a judgement. They are even seeking a default judgement against one debtor next Thursday.

Got 3 calls from the number.

These are junk bad credit purchasers and scam artists. They have previous affiliations with known criminal/racketeer Randall Goins and he may be behind this operation. Slippery shysters with an MO that is patently illegal. They don't have a pot to piss in, let alone money for attorneys so DO NOT BELIEVE THEM when they tell you they are filing a legal case. The docket numbers, etc are bogus. NOTE: This is all illegal activity and money you pay to them will not bring you any relief or make them go away.
