Got a call from this number. A woman informed me that she was calling from "auto body protection" to extend the warranty on our car. She wanted to know how many miles were on our car and I asked again who she was calling from. She said it again and I told her I was definitely not interested. She hung up on me.

I've received a call a week for the past several weeks from this phone number.  I haven't answered, they haven't left a message, and I've never called back.  

This number called yesterday and I ignored the call - no message. Called today twice! The first time, I ignored the call, the second, I picked up and hung up and added to reject list.

This number called three times in one day. Did not leave a message.

they called me this morning saying it was the 'auto protection department' and asking for the mileage on my Kia. said my warranty was running out and they wanted to help me protect my car.... sure!

Getting call over last 2 days from this number. did not pick...when tried to call back...call cannot be completed

Same thing happened to me 15 minutes ago... same number... same questions... I did not give the lady anymore information than she already had. She told me she was going to connect me to a supervisor... and I just knew it was a scam and hung up.

Telemarketer from this number called me on my work number asking for my husband.  

Guy on the other end of the phone says that he is with the Auto Protection Department... rather rudely accuses me of not responding to stuff they sent me in the mail regarding what I can only assume is an extended warranty... As if I had some obligation to if they did.

It is just one of the many many extended warranty telemarketers.

Predatory Auto Insurance Company. Will hang up on you when you press them for information or refuse protection. Still at it as of May 14, 2014.

I picked up the phone, phone reported it was coming from the Kirkland,WA area.

Exact same story as Appleseed. They do their whole routine, bounce you around to multiple people, checking to make sure you're "approved" for extended coverage and try to get you to sign up for extended coverage. When answered with "No, I'm denying service" the phone goes dead, and was hung up on.

tl;dr As of May 13, 2014. Seems to be a predatory insurance company.

Got  a call from them, about extending my car insurance, after asking for miles and giving the whole song and dance about breakdowns tried to get my info. Told them no and started explaining that I wasn't planning on buying and got hung up on.

He says 'Auto processing department', he wants to sell extended car warranty. He refused to answer what is his company. He want to collect information about myself and my car!

Got a call from this number, claiming to be the 'Auto processing department' asking me about my car. He had my full name or I would have hung up. I asked him to state where he was from again, he said 'Auto processing department' and I asked "What business is that department in" and he hung up. Obviously it was some type of scam. I am very careful with my information and have no idea how he get a hold of it. I don't even give out my email address to business like Home Depot.

Got a call and the caller said they represented the Ford warranty department and the we may be eligible to extend the factory warranty on our 2003 Thunderbird. After asking for mileage on the car they wanted to tranfer me to someone else. Could see this as a scam and hung up. There was no call back.

Got a call from this number, the guy said he was from saturn and wanted to update our vehichle information, and wanted to know the milage on my car.  I asked him why he's collecting this, and he said it was his job.  Asked him what compay he worked for, and he said saturn, and asked why I didn't have any extended warranty on my car.  I reminded him that Saturn went out of business years ago, to which he replied that I didn't know what I was talking about and hung up.  Total scam, and they sure do run away fast when you start asking questions.

I got a call from this number today - SCAM.

We bought a car about 5 years ago and they have been soliciting me for an "extended warranty coverage" on my 5 year old car.  I talked to 3 different reps over there who knew my name/number/make&model of car and what my address is.

After pressuring me to give them a down payment for extended coverage, I told them 'no' many times.  They told me I needed to make a decision on this extended coverage by the end of the phone call (are you kidding me!).  I eventually told them 'no' enough that the guy hung up on me!

Don't fall for this!  It must be a scam.

I got a call, when I answered the lady said "I Shannon I am calling from the Kia input department" and then it disconnected. I called the number back and it had a recorded message that said "you have reached the auto department, if you are interested in mechanical breakdown coverage please press 7, if you would like to be placed on the do not call list press 2"  I pressed 2, it asked me to press 3 to confirm that I wanted to be placed on the do not call list" and then confirmed and hung up.  

"Auto Processing department", They referred to my car by make and model, then said that the warrantee had expired. He then asked how many miles are on my car. After asking for him to clarify he said, "you know, the new ___car you just bought, how many miles on it?" I told him I am leasing the car and that I didn't know what he is talking about. Then he hung up.

I was pissed, not at the guy, he is just trying to make money with a humanities degree. I was pissed at the b*****d that made up this scheme to dupe people.

This is a call from an India call center.  They switch the # to a local number and will continually call back with a variation of this # so impossible to block.  In this case it was for an extended warranty on a ford car and they have no understanding of what that means in this country.

"Auto Department" was who he stated he was with ... he hung up when I would not verify any information and asked who he was calling with.

I just had this number call me and ask for Mr###? I asked who is calling and he said is this Mrs### then? I asked again who is calling? then he hung up!

Called and stated from Vokswagen asking for financial information.

Spammer auto warranty company.

they called & hung up w/ answering machine picked up.  If it's a "rewards redemption" scam, I'm very very suspicious that just last evening I visited the Key Bank rewards redemption web site...

Picked up the phone, lag time showed it was computer dialed, then was greeted by someone from the "Auto Processing Department."  I interrupted her reference to one of my cars (by year and model), to ask, "What company are you wish?"  She just repeated, "Auto Processing Department."  I said thanks and hung up.  I called back the number on my caller ID, with a prefix in my part of the state, and was greeted by a staticky recording asking me to press 1 if I wanted auto protection insurance and 2 if I wanted to be removed from their list.  I didn't press anything, assuming if I pressed 2 they'd ask me for personal information.
