Someone called our home and asked for my husband by his first name. He said his name was Luke. He was talking about a relative of our daughterinlaw whome we barely know. Something about my husband holding a power of attorney for this person and a law suite. My husband is an old man so he dutifully wrote down everything.

Who is this caller?  Is it a scammer call?

As I searched the net for info on what appeared on our caller ID, I found so many posts about this same company. It comes up on caller IDs as "Greentree Acqui" but with different telephone numbers.

Rec'd call from 425-252-4298 saying it was "Greentree Acquisitions" and that it was a "civil matter" and to have my attorney call.  They referred to my husband as "officer ___" only he's not an "officer" of any sort.  The phone number they left on the voicemail was 877-303-2507.
