FYI This number is listed as the number for a sale of a Toyota Tundra on Craiglist in Everett Washington ... price is too good to be true, so I googled the number and found this post.

Same here: on DO NOT CALL list, the caller ID shows Washington
Been receiving this call for weeks now. Can I do something about it?
viv 2011-06-06 20:49:10 Unknown
I got calls from this number 425-291-8400 a couple of times, always in the early morning, very annoying !! The caller ID shows it is from Renton WA. I called back and it asked me if I want to put myself in the no call list, which I did. Hope it will work.
If you pick up the phone, it says President Obama wants you to refinance your mortgages.
Could not get hold of a real person to talk about it, it always reaches recorded voice. Is it legal? How can I ever get rid of this kind of calls???

That's interesting... I keep getting calls from this number too. And I'm also on the Do Not Call List. I think that corporations should be legally required to divulge their identities on calls to individuals. They are calling my Cell phone during Peak Hours, and I have to answer in case it is a client. They don't have the decency to actually have a human call you - you get called by a machine! The recorded message indicates this is a loan company, that has been Called to Action by President Obama to offer home owners modified mortgages. Hmm...maybe the Govt. is selling the list! It's a crime!
gary 2011-06-06 20:49:10 Unknown
I called it back, the recording said they will stop calling after 72 hours. They have called approximately 15 times. pretty ridiculous. A mortgage company.
Barry Scott 2011-06-06 20:49:10 Unknown
I am on the Do Not Call list and am getting calls from whoever this is. They do not identify themselves and it you call back suggest you can get on THEIR do not call list.

Caller ID says call came from Washington State:
4252918400 - Renton WA
I'm registered on 'Do Not Call' list, and still get these calls.
Lulu 2011-06-06 20:49:10 Unknown
I'm also on the DNC list !! when this number calls it goes to vm and they don't leave a message !
Truepharaoh 2011-06-06 20:49:10 Unknown
I keep receiving calls from this number on my cell phone as well. I am already registered with DNC and also called them back and used the option to take myself off their list, with no avail. Indeed annoying!

I received a call from this number before legal telemarketing hours this morning. I let it go to voice mail and they did not leave a message. They called back in less than 1 hour and left dead air this time.
I am on the national do not call list so this company now owes me $22,000.
Annoyed receipent 2011-06-06 20:49:10 Unknown
Yep, I received several of these calls on my cell number (which is on the DNC list) Called it back and was presented with an option to take myself off their list. Time will tell...
Micky 2011-06-06 20:49:10 Unknown
I think "Do Not Call" sells their list for a profit. We are on it too and ever since we just get more. Ridiculous. This "Washington number" will not stop. How can we get them to stop?????

I'm sick of this telephone calling and not leaving messages. Since I have caller ID I know who is calling but they don't leave messages and they keep calling back I also am on a DNC list.

Received an unsolicited recorded call on 6/21/10 from 425-291-8400 concerning credit card debt and medical bills. I am on the DNC list, which seems like a joke. I have also been receiving the same sort of calls from: 402-982-0869 and 402-982-0779. I have filed a complaint on the DNC site each time, no help. I also filed a report on the FCC.gov site for the 402 numbers. Perhaps everyone should do that. The FCC site seemed to more detailed and official, but don't know if they will listen and take action. When we identify these jerks, we need a class action lawsuit.

These people (425 291 8400) have been harassing me on my personal cell phone for months with the "Obama Message" and I finally got someone on the phone to tell me what company they were calling from. I am on the DNC list!

I received a call from this number at 2pm. I answered it by pressing * key a bunch of times until it hung up. I heard this makes the computer think that my number is a bad number so it deletes it off the automated call list. At 2:06pm, I received another call from the same number, but this time I let it go to voicemail, but no message left. Very persistent!

Check out this link on youtube. Don't know if it works, but it's worth a shot.
You can also try blocking the call if your phone has that feature.

425-291-8400...came up as MLK Co. Of course as soon as you answer there is no answer unless you stay on long enough for the telemarketer to pick up the next one on their router. We get calls all the time. Going to report them to the FTC, but as usual they won't do anything.
I would never as many others would do, is do bussiness with a anoying telemarketer. I choose whom I want to do bussiness and it sure won't be an annoying telemarketer.
If any telemarketers read this....Get A Real Job.

These people have called me with the "Obama" message over and over for months! I have pressed 1 to be taken off their list at least 10 times! I still get 3-4 calls per week and I can get it to stop. This has to be illegal. What can we do about this?
topher 2010-05-17 17:11:39 Unknown
Ditto. This number and 360-722-5910.
Nearly every day.

For those expressing frustration about still receiving calls, despite being on the DNC list: a reality check!
There is little question that newer technology makes catching the callers more and more challenging. It is specifically because of state and federal enforcement actions that so many of the telemarketers now call from or route calls through foreign countries. Many calls are now coming from/through Canada, Philippines, Panama, Costa Rica, India, Europe, etc.
Most calls are now routed through internet based service providers that forward calls numerous times before reaching the consumer. Anyone noticed the recent Vonage commercials that offer unlimited calls to over 60 countries for about $15/month? What this effectively means is that enforcement agencies have little or no authority to track the calls after they involve or move through foreign countries.
There's little question that the calls are illegal and violate the TCPA's (do not call law) prohibitions but, without legal authority to make telephone companies disclose subscriber information (even if outside the U.S.), there's not a lot that enforcement agencies like the FTC, FBI or U.S. Dept. of Justice can do to stop the calls.
It stinks both for the people getting the calls and the ones trying to stop the calls, but until the laws change to provide more effective enforcement authority, it is what it is. In the mean time, continue to file complaints with the FTC and pressure your legislators to change the laws.

What is the company's name, and how can I tell you stop calling me? The calls always come in early morning and it is recorded messages. It said President Obama wants you to modify your loan. This is crime ! Should have a way to take these people ( behind this ) to court.
