This number came up on my monthly bill, charged for a call of 197 minutes!  Routinely, we do not answer calls when we do not recognize the caller, so this is a charge for a call that was never answered!  How can they do this??

This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

I am getting unwanted calls from this number...

I am posting for a friend of mine "Beth" who is not computer savvy: I was visiting her house this morning. 11:30 AM, the phone rang. The ID showed HPT. Her husband is an internationally-known engineer who specializes in flood control systems. So, of course, he gets lots of phone calls from every crackpot imaginable.

What is really bad is that this HPT calls numerous times during the day! I told Beth not to pick up calls from numbers that do not have recognizable IDs or come from area codes from far away.

This number just called me,  It said  HFT HFT on caller ID.  I am ALWAYS ready for these scam artists. I keep an AIR HORN next to my phone, Because I also get a ton from so called CARD SERVICES, also. With many different phone numbers. I go ahead and press the #1 like they ask.. And  wait to get a real person on the phone. Then I BLAST them with my air horn.  Not just a little either. I hold it for about 30 seconds. These little air horns can be purchased for $1.00 from places like Dollar tree, Dollar store etc. and WELL worth the purchase. They are loud and they last a long time.  You may think this is cruel, sorry I don't, these callers, are calling to rip off your credit card numbers. and wipe you out.  At least their ears will be ringing for quite a while.  LOL   They are thieves!!!!

Another Abby call - connected to Security Technologies 435-879-5350. Had them on the phone for 30 min and almost got a tech to come out. $62.99 GE system 36 mo contract. Wanted DOB and checking account. I have now gotten 6 calls from 12/27. :-( Yuck I want my 6x $1000 for calling my cell. Reported DNC as always.

These people have no respect. Surely, surely they realize 99% of people
would NEVER buy anything from someone pestering them nite and day.

Abby is not a real person!  It's a voice response system.  Any response to her, "how are you today" is a confirmation that they have a live person on the line and to play the info.  It's actually set up to try to give legit answers if it hears you talking/asking a question.  When I asked are you a real person or a machine.  It said "actually I'm with xyz company..."  I asked the same question again and it said "Yes".  "Yes which I replied?  If you are a real person say Christmas".   Again with something like "actually I'm..."  I finally started repeating asking her to say Christmas but after several times it disconnected.

Found the perfect way to thwart these calls ---- make a sound like a fax machine. They hang up real quick.

These people have called 5 times in the last 7 days.  Each time, I tell them that we already have a security system, and before I can ask them to remove me from the list, they hang up.

Anybody tried to forward their calls to a Law Enforcement Agency, so they could track it? And hopefully LEOs would understand the situation and go after these scammers instead of citing those who forward :)

Received a call from HTP HTP at 9:00 am.  I didn't answer, but I blocked the number at 9:02.

PLEASE CONTACT THE FCC and report the concern.  This is the only way to ensure this company no longer has the ability to unduly harass citizens.  We have certain inalienable rights which are protected by our American government and unwanted solicitation falls under one of these rights.

Simply click on the link "do not call list" on the right hand side of the screen and follow the steps.  You can first register your number, then file a complaint.  You can also contact them by telephone at 1-888-CALL-FCC ( 1-888-225-5322) voice or  1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322) TTY,or  by fax to 1-866-418-0232, via  electronic complaint form, or mail.

Please take a few moments to file your complaint.  If they are flooded with complaints about this company, there is no way they will not take action.

Now this number is coming up Heartland Poker....I dont give them a chance to say anything....i just tell them to quit calling here

all I can say after I got at least 2 calls a day from them that are a terorist organization using a robot to disturb people's life.

2nd call this week from this number............. I do not even pick it up, but am keeping a list of these bogus calls and the dates.

the number is connected to www.wangyefenxi.com and the "justiceproject.com" and Facebook/ Justice Project, mcdonalds.com, xhamster.com and a bunch of other strange sites at www.wangyefenxi.com. Nothing that will allow you to connect to anyone who is causing these millions of PROBATIVE calls.

Don't answer these calls folks. The # is spoofed (displayed as "Unknown Name" on my phone) so you're not going to get the real person.

As much as I thought the FTC Do-Not-Call Registry was an incredible waste of time, I saw that they recently shut down a host of telemarketers that were using the "this is Rachel from Cardmember Services" scam. So, I suggest you keep filing complaints with the FTC since they apparently are trying to stop these scammers. I have noticed a decrease in those calls since the FTC took action so I remain hopeful.

DO NOT answer the call or press 3 to be removed from their list or press 1 to speak with someone to be removed from their list. All it does is confirm that the # is active. If, for whatever reason, you do speak with someone, keep them on the line as long as possible and try to get the name of the actual company they are calling on behalf. Then file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau where the company is located.

Caller ID is HEARTLAND POKER. This is a number mining scam. DO NOT ANSWER.

I have talked to Abby also.  Since the do not call list does not work and making complaints is useless I might amuse myself and waste there time.  I actually made one of them mad the other night by using an accent.  They told me to learn English and hung up.  It made me happy.

The robotic Abby is kinda smart.  She asked how I was. I told her that my a** was itchy.She said "I understand."

She started her pitch and said "you want to protect your family, right?'

I replied...abso-f*cking-lutely

She must have swear words in her voice recognition database because at that point Abby said "Thank you. Have a nice day."
