I don't know if it is this number that called me, I don't feel like paying to *69 it and I don't have caller id, but it sounds like the same message. Weeks ago I stayed on the line to find out what it was and the woman was very rude, refused to tell me unless I gave her my electric bill info., said she'd remove my phone # and actually hung up on me. I was not rude to her, merely asked her to tell me what it was about since I had received several of these annoying robo calls.

Today I received this call twice in a row. Stayed on the line again - was put on hold!! Turns out it's some organization that will use your electric company account number to look up other electric supply/generation companies you can switch to and save money from what you currently pay. The woman today was very nice and answered all my questions, and said she'd take me off the list since I declined the service. We already compare rates ourselves. The "Electric Assistance Company" is what she said it is. They make calls in places where electric is deregulated by law and you can choose your supplier. Seems if they want to do you a service, they could be way more clear about it instead of sounding so shady. Like "press 1 if you want someone to help you see how you could switch electric suppliers and save money."

Please immediately report each and every one of these illegal robo scam calls that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.  

You can gripe that it doesn't work, but they cannot do anything about it unless and until we report it!

That's what everyone has to do. Call your senators and congress people. Let them know you are sick and tired of getting these scam calls and calls in violation of the DNC list. BTW, trying to file a  complaint with donotcall.gov is a worthless waste of time.

This number came through my phone as well and the caller ID showed "Electric Bill"  I don't answer these crap calls.  If someone really wanted to talk to me they'd leave a proper message.

National Do No Call List.....a total joke and waste of everyone's time that put their info on the site to remove this SH*T from coming through to our phones.

They called my cell at 5:13 pm Pacific Time on 1/24. Recently I've gotten so many of these calls that I've learned not to answer. Of course no message left. This number called me twice as well.. 2 days apart.  I ignored it..They didn't leave a message .It's scary that there are so many people out there trying to scam others. I still get phone calls all the time even though I have put name number on the DNC list.

Received a call from 425 336 8008 they said I might qualify for a reductioin of my bill press 2 to end call or 5 to check.  I asked them how do I know if this is legitamate, and they hung up. Called the number it rang once and then got busy signal.

These are scammers and identity thieves. The caller id# is a Spoof Caller ID and does not exist. I have; notified associates at the agency and they will be knocking on the door of these perpetrators shortly.
They are now classified as terrorists and they can no longer hide behind VOIP, MagicJack, MagicTalk or any other form of electronic masking.

Yep, they got me by the predictive dialer.  Their calls are now blocked.  Called at 8:43 AM.

I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.   THEY CAN?T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

I received a call from this number on 1/18

Received several calls from 425-336-8008. Caller never left message. When I called back from another phone I would hear my voice echo, but no one ever picked up

Revd calls frm this nbr many time complained to the do not call registry. This registry is a sham probebly goes nowhere.

I got a call from this number. On my caller id it said Electric Company. I said push 1 to keep current electric company or 2 to find out how to switch. I pushed 2 and then it went blank. Don't know if it is a scam and will be charged for calls??

Rec'd this call today 1/1212, I never pick up a # I don't recogize as family or friend or business contact.  If it's important leave msg which I can then delete. Loving caller ID!

Call ID said "ELECTRIC BILL", recorded message said press 5 for a Rep, I asked "Andrea" what company she was calling from and where, she said "OK sure" then the line cut off with a busy signal.  Evidently, they're crooks and even the entry-level reps are trying to hide it.  This differs from other scams, where the reps are sometimes duped themselves.

Jan 11, 2012 Robo Call. Never left a message. People, Write your senators about this. If enough people write than maybe we all could put an end to this. Do Not Call, Does Not Work. Its time to get a bill passed to stop all these calls completely. Enough is enough already.

I answered. They hung up.

I picked up the message - press 5 twice and they hung up. Called back to see what would happen. It rings once and then hangs up.

Received a call from 425-336-8008 on 1/9/12 at 16:42. Caller ID showed "Electric Bill". Did not recognize the number and did not answer. Caller left an automated message which Google Voice  recorded and automatically flagged as spam. After checking here I marked the caller in GV as "Blocked". GV transcribed the call as follows:

"Bill, As of January 3rd, 2012. Electric de regulation has been passed by government legislation. You may now qualify for a lower payment on your electric bill press 3. If you are not interested in the discount or press 5, to be transferred to a live agent to see if you qualify, press 5, to be transferred to a live agent to see if you qualify for a discount on your electric bill."

Caller id was "electric bill".  I answered the phone saying "answering service", but they hung up on me.  added to blocking list of my call blocker.
