I have been called daily from this number. Some days they call 5-7 times throughout the day. When I answer, there is nobody there or I hear someone hang up. Does anyone know how to stop these harassing and annoying phone calls?

I was called at 11:32pm. That can't b legal.

Called cell phone today did not answer

[Just got another call from different number and am now scanning phone logs for other "ignored calls" ...found this one.]

Got call on 19Dec2011.  Didn't pick up.  No message left.  Looks like complaints ended at end of Dec2011...hopefully they went away.

They keep calling me from this one area code, and even one in Oregon, and now am getting numerous calls from a Denver number.  Despite being on the do not call list, I keep getting these calls.  I only answered the first one, and told them not to call back, as I was on do not call list.  They hung up right away, and then more calls, from different numbers.  My cell number is unpublished, and on the the do not call list.  They don't leave a message, but keep calling, and calling.  I'm getting ticked off by this.  My cell phone is for emergencies only, so every time it rings I go into a panic.  I guess I'm not alone.

Received a phone call on my cell phone about credit card rates being lowered.  It was an automated message and then asked to press 1 to speak to a representative.  Was put on hold so I hung up for fear of unwanted charges,

I called this number back after reading the posts. The message said:

"You have reached the Do Not Call Registry, enter your phone number and be removed from recieving any further calls"

It is a lie. Do NOT leave your own number. Leave the one that called you.

It also offered the option to speak to leave a voice message or speak to a live operator.

I chose the voice message option and left the nice sound of a nice LOUD police whistle.

Wouldn't it be satisfying to be able to reach through the phone and grab the bi*** by her esophagus when she dares to hang up on you for not wanting to be suckered into giving your private info?

My solution: Buy a police whistle and pretend you speak very softly. Pretend you are going to give them your info-a credit card no., etc (make it up) and when the bi*** says 'I can't hear you' THAT is the time to BLAST her ear before quickly hanging up.  

Let your answering machine/voice mail pick up for a few weeks afterwards...

If enough a**les go deaf from the police whistle than they can't call anyone!

keeps calling, credit card telemarketer. when trying to talk, they hang up. will report through fcc and encourage a class action lawsuit.

Did you know you can program your cell phone to 'mute' when this number calls in?

Saame recorded call from different numbers to both my cell phone and land line phone. They don't give up as we get multiple calls each week saying it is an offer for lower credit card rates. They ignore the Do Not Call list.

Irritating.  I didn't answer but I read the other posts.  I put this # on my blocked caller list from Verizon.  Maybe they will get the hint!

Received a call from this number at 5:45p.  I do not answer calls from unknown.  Left no message.  So anyone who wants, from these many posted complaints, can see this is in violation of do not call but those responsible to police it don't.  What are our taxes going to?  Salaries for families and friends of politicians, bigger government, and no service at all?  So it seems to me.

This number called my mother on and off in the fall.  She finally spoke to a man who harassed her, calling her a "sexy momma" who got her number off of Facebook, and wanted to have sex with her.  My mom called the cops.  We live in Iowa, so of course they didn't do anything.  The number has started calling my cell now.  Great.  Not sure how these people are getting away with this.  It's insane.

Number called, I answered and there was silence on the other line for a couple of seconds, then they hung up. Said the call came from Renton, WA

I've been getting calls at home and on my cell.  Today I spoke to a CSR and complained and was immediately disconnected.

Do not need debt consolidation or 6.9% APR on my cards.  I don't carry a balance, haven't in over a decade and would never borrow money unsecured.
