These guys called me three times today, so I blocked them.
There is only one way to get rid of these calls, Google Digitone 10. You can block up to 80 numbers or area codes or a combination. The do not call lists do not work, asking to get off the call list does not work either. My carrier only blocks calls in my area code, so most phone companies are useless as they sell to the telemarketers.
I have no involvement with Digitone, just sharing the research I did.

Received call: 11-13-2011 09:21 am Call Type: Debt Solicitor None Recording stating my credit cards may be in danger and to select #1, which I did, waited, a lady came on the phone asking if I had over $4,000 debt, I said no, she hung up without saying anything.

This is a phishing scam. Report these people immediately to your local district attorney and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). What they are doing is highly illegal and a violation of several state and federal laws. Since we can't shoot them, sending them to jail would be the next best thing. If they call and you speak with them, do NOT give them any personal information, but milk them for everything you can find out about them. Then report it immediately. These crooks move quickly and often. I've gotten calls from New York, Detroit and now St. Louis.

I just called the number and I pressed the 1 and entered my cell # and recording said my number was removed and if I'd like to speak with someone, press 1 and I just hung up. This cell is with Alabama and I live in IL. It was my sister's and I haven't changed it to my local area yet.

Great idea! I'll do that with every spam number that calls my cell. Unfortunately, after 90 days, they'll be back. I'm sure (well, I can imagine) they know this policy and park our phone numbers in files that release them after 90 days (all without a human being...it's automated harrassment! And don't laugh when I say that one day, we humans will lose control of the electronic beast we've created. Just as we've lost control of corporations, which are now annointed in some ways with the rights of a person--the ultimate "it").

I'll second that. And that. And that. Do they hear us yet??

Received a call from this number yesterday on my cell phone, which says it is from Renton, WA. I didn't answer. No voicemail. It is now 9:00pm, I called it to see who it was and an automated answering service says that it is an "Automated Do Not Call Registry" and wants me to type in my 10 digit phone number....uhhh....yeah, ok, NO THANKS.

I am tired of getting called from this number on my mobile phone when I am in the do not call registry. I would like to join a class action lawsuit and have that attorney clean their clock. Also, I feel we legislation to require mobile phone companies to enable users to block these calls.

Received same scam message as everyone else wanting to help me with my credit card debt. Just hung up. Called the number back and automatic answering system comes on if You want to remove your number from there DO NO CALL then press 1 even though I pressed 1 continued to repeat same step. So I just hung up.

Gregory W. Dunlap 2011-11-15 17:38:02 Telemarketer
Received a call from this number today. Started out as a robo-call and then asked me to press a number to speak to a rep which I did. When they came on I told them that I was listed on the do not call list and that they were in violation. She told me that I shouldn't answer my phone next time and then hung up.

The buggers are computer dialing everybody. Do not call list or not. I've tried to get a human, but when asked who their company is, they hang up. Stupid. I hope they get slammed for being b****eads.

I just got a call from this Number at 9 PM EST when i answered the phone there was no one there not even back ground noise it was dead air. I hung up and called back a recording came on - it was an actual person not a Robotic voice recording) It said "Thanks for calling the Do Not Call List" I hung up after that---- Since when does the National Do Not call list call people?? My 1st thought was they do not and I'm glad to see I was correct- I'm sick of these scam calls and pressing 3 on them so they do not call you again is a CROCK I've done it with the stupid credit card ones that Know I have no credit cards yet want to help me lower Credit Card bills That I don't have! I've cussed them out, I have threatened to sue them and I've hit 3 for them not to call back they call back the very next day some times several times in one day
JM 2011-11-14 22:30:56 Unknown
No message just a missed call. From the comments noted, clearly a telemarketer.
JRP 2011-11-14 21:54:11 Unknown
The caller id says, "US CC SERVICES"
TJones 2011-11-14 20:33:13 Unknown
Just got the call, no message was left. I called back and immediately it says "welcome to the do not call registry list. Press 1 to enter your phone number". Very skeptical about entering my number. I don't want it sold to any other companies calling me about this nonsense.
rg 2011-11-14 20:18:59 Unknown
said they WERE FROM the "do not call registry" and to enter my nimber to register
Risha 2011-11-14 20:14:57 Unknown
Called several times
JK 2011-11-14 18:34:29 Unknown
just don't answer it if you don't recognize the number...they don't leave a message and it doesn't count against your minutes.
Steve Willett 2011-11-14 18:20:47 Unknown
This is the second call I have had in as many weeks about "Important Information" concerning my credit card and my "last chance" to take advantage of their deal.
The first time, I pressed one,(as instructed), and I told the perso that I wanted to be taken off their call list. Before I got the complete sentence out, they hung up on me.
This time, (Today), I pushed one and got a busy signal.
DebbieP 2011-11-14 18:09:20 Unknown
Rec'd call, no message. Hung up when I picked up. Was received on my cell phone. I'm on the Co-Not-Call List!!
E C 2011-11-14 17:34:06 Unknown
My Verizon account has place to enter numbers that will then be blocked for 90 days. There is a section of their website that says "I want to - " with a list of choices. One choice is "Call and message blocking."
After that, I go to the National Do Not Registry website and file a complaint.
Good luck

Cathy,
Thanks for this great idea. I will file a complaint on this #. I am receiving calls from 425 390-8192 and have had one very unpleasant conversation with someone when I got to a voice. It's sad to realize people or persons will start a company like this and that others will w***e themselves out as "telemarketers" or "customer service reps".
PW 2011-11-14 15:42:38 Unknown
Just what do you expect Verizon to do about it? They are simply a cell phone service and have NOTHING whatsoever to do about your incoming calls, nor do they have the any power to do anything about it.
By pressing 1 you are then only verifying that your phone number is legitimate and the WORSE thing you could do. All cell phone have caller ID, so if you don't recognize the number just don't answer. Pretty simple eh?
Joe 2011-11-12 15:14:34 Unknown
Caller ID: US CC SERVICES.
I did not take the call, at 8;42 p.m. I did call the number later. Message: Last chance to lower interest rate on credit cards. Press 1 to speak to someone. No way to option off call list. SCAM!
Googled it on white pages, a landline in Seattle/Tacoma WA area.
