got a call from 425.406.9022 that my caller id even labeled as marketing fraud.  i answered just for grins.  a heavily accented male told me he was from microsoft and that my computer was putting error messages on the internet.  he told me to press that key with a flag on it while i pressed the r key.  i told him to p****off and hung up on him.  within 30 seconds, i got a call from 206.397.1127.  it was the same guy and he was angry.  "why did you hang up on me?"  i told him i wasn't going to give control of my computer to him and to get the heck off of my phone.  then i hung up again.  hope they leave me alone now.

Wasn't home. They didn't bother to leave a message. And why am I not surprised? Caller ID showed Marketing Fraud. ??? Why yes they are. At least they know who they are. Looks like some entertainment could be had at their expense if I weren't so busy.

I have changeable hard drives in my computer. Set up a fresh load on an otherwise blank drive and stick that drive in when they call. Let 'em look that over. But some of these a***oles are very determined and I don't want them to have my WAN IP address. So as much as I'd like to have some fun with them, I'll just continue to either not answer or just answer then hang up.

This is the 3rd time this person has called but only the first time it showed a number. He has an accent and says he is with windows calling about my computer. The first time he wanted me to go on my computer and let him fix it. I said no. The second time I told him I knew it was a scam. Windows would not call. He said he wanted $250.00.He said I owed it to him. This time he said he was with Windows calling about my computer and I hung up before he could say anymore.Looks like something could be done to stop this harassment.

Prank Call
Although I have caller ID, sometimes I just get tired of the calls that keep coming from someone and answer.  A lot of times it's charities and I just ask to be taken off their list.  Like the others reported, guy had heavy Indian accent, hard to understand, said my computer had something worse than a virus and wanted me to turn on my computer.  I demanded to speak to his manager.  He started the same spiel.  I demanded a phone number to call him back (nm that I already had it) and he hung up on me.
And incidently, the no call list does work to a point.  If a company is legit, all you have to do is tell them you're on the no call list and you'll report them for harassment if they call you back.  Be careful of website agreements.  Some are beginning to add that they are permitted to call you no matter if you're on the NCL and that third parties associated with them are allowed to call you.  If you hit 'I agree' without glancing over it, you just screwed yourself.

Another attempt at trying to hack into an American computer. Do these people in India really think that the average American is that stupid. Fortunately I was home when the call came in.  I am an IT Tech and I know that Microsoft does not call people to tell them that their computers are infected. How can we stop these idiots from terrorizing American people?

They tried to say they were Microsoft and that the computer belonging to my mother-in-law was infected and that they wanted her to go to the computer and let them remote in. She got me to get on the phone with them and I told them what I thought. Once I told both the man and the woman that I was an IT Tech they left the call.

Il me dit Ah I think your computer is okay.  Yes.

Number called me today. When I recalled the number it came back to recording saying this number is a rogue number from a business that is now defunct and person that called you from the number is committing marketing fraud. Interesting

Some of us run a business and don't have the luxury of not answering calls we don't recognize.

These guys called us just now about the windows computer fix. They also called my house when I was home at lunch. Told then off and hung up.

These same people called my spouse three days ago and listened to them a while then acted dumb to them and hung up.  I cot a call from the same number and this is what I told them after listening to them about my computer:

"Oh-ho, this is the same rip-off scam that you tried to pull on my wife a few days ago!  Why don't you get an honest job and stop trying to f** others out of their hard-earned money!" . He couldn't even reply; I hung up.

I just blocked one of these scammers that called at 10PM last night. I can't keep up with blocking all the different #'s. Guess I will have to invest in the phone that blocks 250 #'s and see if that helps. Mine only blocks 20. Ugh

11 September 2013
T-Mobile Customer Relations
P.O. Box 37380
Albuquerque, NM 87176-7380

To T Mobile:
On 10 September 2013 from 18:02 until 19:18 I received at least 24 criminal, unwanted, threatening, and harassing telephone calls on my T Mobile phone +++++++++ Over the past 6 months I have received roughly 50 similar calls, but never 24 of them in 80 minutes. The other 50 calls have come at all times of the day and night, including repeatedly waking my family in the middle of the night. I now have to keep my phone turned off at night because of these harassing calls.  I repeatedly ask these callers to not call me and tell them that I am on the National ?Do not call? list, and did so again on at least 10 of these calls last night. I suspect that they come from spoofed numbers which are giving false numbers to my caller ID. The purpose of these calls is to trick me into giving the personal information by allowing them to access to my computer either for the purpose of them misusing my computer, possibly to steal my financial information to steal from me, or possibly to get access to sensitive information that I may have as a ???????????????????? worker. I suspect that the reason that they kept calling back over and over this time, was that I may have upset them by keeping them on hold for a long time and giving them the initial impression that I was going to give them access to my computer when I had no intention of actually doing so. While they were unsuccessful in harming me or the ????????????? in this attack, they sound like they call person after person until they are successful. They would not continue to do this unless some of the people that they call do fall for their ruse. Stopping them from continuing to do this will prevent significant theft or significant espionage, possibly both.

All of these calls are from males and females with what sounds like Indian accents (last night was always the same male), who tell me that they are calling from Microsoft because there is a problem with my computer and they want to help me fix it. They ask me to go to my computer. I do not know what they will ask next because I never let them get further than that. This time my caller Id said these calls came from 14254069022 (7 calls), 19712179508 (5 calls), 19712179514 (5 calls), 12063971127 (4 calls), 19712179518 (3 calls).

On prior occasions, they have called from 10999100119, 109999100119, 10234567890, 15126104761, 12064560661, 0000000000, 1284678, 284678 and others.

I previously filed a complaint to the Honolulu police (cannot recall complaint number), and did so again on 10 September, with HPD complaint report number ????????????????????

T Mobile needs to work with The Honolulu police and any other agency that can investigate this matter (perhaps FBI, national security agencies, and/or Interpol) to punish these criminals and prevent them from harming and harassing others. While I have no way to determine where the calls are actually originating from, T Mobile have the technology to do so.  Calling after being not to call, calling from spoofed numbers which gives me no way to identify them or call them to demand that they stop calling, and attempting to gain access to my computer and personal information under false pretenses, are all illegal acts.
I have now added the new numbers to my call blocking list, but since they keep calling from different numbers (or are spoofing different caller IDs), I expect that these calls will continue.

When I answered, a female with a strong accent was on the other end. In her broken  English, i understood her to be from Windows and they have been getting a signal from my computer for several weeks now and we need to fix the problem. I told her my computer was off and would stay that way all day today. She insisted I go turn it on to fix the problem. I told her to call back in 2 hrs I was busy. If she calls back, she will not like the person on the other end.

I have been receiving calls from these "rouge" callers everyday for the passed two weeks now. I gave them no information and they successfully hacked my computer. I had to reset my computer to factory settings. The first thing I did when they wanted money from me was tell them to go f*** themselves and that I have an uncle who works for Microsoft. That was when my courser started going crazy and I unplugged my internet cable then shut down my computer. Right after all of that nonsense, I called my uncle and he said I did everything I needed to do at that moment.
