If anybody's interested here's another way that has seemed to work for me. I use a voicemail app on my smartphone called YouMail and it allowes you to set a specific voice mail for each contact, for those numbers that wind up being the robo callers I downloaded a voicemail that is just like the " doo doo doo the number you have called has been disconnected" after three or four calls from different numbers that I set that voicemail to my bs call volume dropped almost immeaditly from 20 or 30 calls a day to like 1 or 2 a day. Now a few months later I probably only get 1 to 2 call a month. I hope it can help you as it did me.

I have a Panasonic portable land line and discovered that I can set it to block unwanted numbers.  First I do an internet search and then I nuke them.  The phone rings only once and the ID says "Call Blocked."    I found that the caller or robot just hears a loud squeal.  The good news is that I can block political and charity calls.  They can send something in the mail if they want to reach me.  I feel victorious......so far.

Ignore the above. The last four digits on this number are different than the number that called me.

I got a call from this number a couple of minutes ago. It was a woman saying that she wanted to talk to me about when a emergency response system (similar to Life Alert) can be delivered to my home; since it didn't sound like a recording, I said, "I didn't order one!" before hanging up.

Received a call from 1-800-331-0500.

Answered call, couldn't hear what they said & it triggered my camera a take a picture.
I deleted the number, is there anything else a person should do?

When he called a second time he said it was Steam Magic, Palm Springs, CA. When I asked for his address, he hung up.

Just another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services' scammers. Google my name to learn how I have eliminated their calls, while also having some fun!

Scam call from "Card Services". They call constantly, and ignore the opt out. They also use a variety of spoofed Caller IDs and numbers. The FTC is completely worthless, national opt out has no teeth. They flagrantly flaunt the regulations.

They called supposedly to lower my interest. I asked the name of the bank. He listed many. I foolishly gave 4 numbers because he knew close to what I owed and I just woke up. When he said get my card for the entire number, I said never mind. My company would know me! I reported them to the scam agents with my bank. If you call that number, it is really a do not call registry????

I received a call from this number today but whatI found funny is that my caller ID said FRAUD CALL in the space for the name.  That right there made me not pick it up.

I got a call from this number today.  It came up on my caller ID "Fraud Call."  I did not answer, no message left.

I live in Southern California.   I came home this afternoon to find a missed call (no message) on my caller ID which had this number, but the caller name said "FRAUD CALL".  LMAO!!  At least this is one scammer being correctly ID'd in the phone system!

Just started calling me on my cell phone. Did not opt in for anything and when I call back, the autoimated attendant states this is an opt-out call list. Giving it a try to see what happens.

I've never answered a scam call on my cell but I still get them once in awhile. I, like you, used to get more a few months ago than I have in the past month or so. You are making a false connection to what you are doing and an effect of something else. The scam call freq just goes up and down each month, but its not becuase you just started doing something.

I received a call from 425-406-9024 at 9:24 est this morning, I looked at my caller ID and laughed hysterically, the name on the caller ID was "FRAUD CALL". Gotta love the honesty.

I didn't answer the call, I saw the name and thought "Why waste my time?".
They didn't leave a message either.

got a call from this number  stayed on line and told gentleman i was on the do not call list  so take me off his call dialer or i will report. he said report me.....

Got a call from this automated system and I after waiting to speak to someone I asked what the name of their company was and they hung up on me.   quite an outfit that won't even tell you who they are.

ANOTHER STUPID CALL THAT THE DO NOT CALL  LIST STOPS!!!!!!

It is an eligal sales voice broadcast, I clicked 1 to talk to apersone and asked to remove my number from their list to experiance a rude persone hanging up on me.

This has become a bit of a game for me - when the phone rings, i see if i can google the number fast enough before it stops. I was able to see a hit on 800notes.com for this number which generally is not a good thing so i didn't answer. I have in fact created a DoNotAnswer in my contacts and once a number is identified as such I add it to that contact so I won't answer any calls from numbers previously identified as Spam/Scammers

Scam call from "Account Services". Said that there was no problem with my credit accounts but that they could lower credit card rates. Asked to press 1 to speak to a rep, 2 to be placed on DNC list.

Of course their message is completely generic and suspect. Don't press either button or trust them!

Got a call from this number (425-406-9024) claiming to be from card services. Knew it was a scam going in. Since I was driving I decided to waste their time. Lady had a foreign accent.

her: Rate over 10%
me: I do?
her: Good. I can help you.
me: huh?
her: do you have the cards with you

her: what's the number?
me: You're card services, don't you know?

me: you don't know?
her: Do you have over $3k in debt?
me: You told me earlier I did.
her: and over 10% rate?
me: Again you told me earlier that I did.
her: (confused) That was a question
me: Huh? You call me and tell me I have over $3k in debt, and over 10% rate.
her: Yes. We called you because of that.
*pause* (I'm getting bored)
me: OK. I'll be honest. I know this is a robocall and next time I will waste more than 2 minutes of your time.
