Just received a call from this number.  I was told the call was from Kennewick, however the caller ID was a 425 area code.  When he asked for a donation of $50, 40 or 30.  I told the person I didn't appreciate being told what to donate and hung up.

Dang! They called before and we told them, "no thanks" and hadn't heard from them for a while.  Just got a call from them *again*!  NO,

I'm starting to notice a trend...the last time they called, we had just put stuff up on craigslist, and put our phone # in the ad.  Everytime we renewed the ad, they would call within hours (or the next day) of us renewing/posting our ad.

Few months went by and we had no new ads on craigslist.  Ironically, no phone calls from these people, other solicitors, called during that time.

Last night, we put an ad up with our number for people to call us about the item.  I have had 3 "Soliciting" calls since 9am this morning.  For the past 3-4 months we had no solicitors calling, and again, ironically, we had no craigslist ads up. Then, less than 24 hours of putting up my ad--we get bombarded with soliciting calls.  I wonder if these people are getting my number from the ads I'm putting up.

If you get this call, just tell them, if you can get a word in edgewise,that you donate to your LOCAL Fraternal Order of Police. Almost every city with a police or sheriff's department will have one. Just call your local PD and ask if they have a local FOP and donate directly to them if you wish.

This guy called and asked if the lady of the house was there. (I am the lady of the house but I answered no. He coughed twice and said "excuse me" twice and then repeated "is the lady of the house available?"  and then he coughed twice again and said excuse me twice again. I hung up because it almost seemed that he was stalling to keep the line open. The call gave me a very uncomfortable feeling.

Got a call from this number. Saw on called ID who it was from so let it go to voicemail. The voice left a message saying, "Hello is Mary there?" then "Is the lady of the house there?"

#1 - my phone number is and always has been unlisted and unpublished.
#2 - how are they getting my phone number and my name?? I've reported them to the donotcall list so many times but I keep getting these calls. I think it's time to write to my senators about this!

Have called me from 425-437-0653, 0659, and 0657.  There is no end to these scammers!

i got call this morning 1/23/12, 8am. i said hello, they disconnected.

these calls are from "fundraising" organizations who "raise money" for police and firefighter "charities" but it's a scam. They pocket most of what they collect and little (?if any?) goes to the charity they are claiming to be fundraising for. If you want to donate to an organization, find their official website or phone number, never give money to solicitors over the phone. It is always a scam!!

I received a message from this phone number.  The person said "hello" and then it repeated 2 other times saying "hello, hello"
It scared my 12 year old son and he was not able to sleep after that and wanted me to delete it.

Thanks for the information.  They keep calling me also, but I never pick up a call which is blocking any part of the Caller ID.

People say they are blocking their number, but there is a limit to the amount you can block.  My blocking has been full for years.  The other day I had to go in and unblock the oldest ones so I could add more.  What we need is a choice on our phones to block every number except for those numbers which you enter.  Of course Fire and Police are exempt.

This caller is FRAUDULENT and runs a SICK scam, it's a pretend/fake organization pretending to be a police charity....BEWARE! There have been local newspaper articles in Seattle warning everyone about this sick jerk. He keeps turning over his numbers, in the last 3 years I've kept a running tab of all his "numbers". I block them all. Unfortunately no one has caught this A-hole. All I can say is that one day his number will be up. Literally. He'll be behind bars and heck, scamming as a wounded police officer charity....?? He'll get what's coming to him, and it won't be the kind of charity he was hoping for.

i got one too, he ask to talk to the lady, i ask who or the name, he replete said want to talk to the Lady.

I just received a call and they said they would process my contribution by phone.  Yes, I'm dumb.  I started to give them the number and it seems all they needed was the first part of the number and not the last four since he interrupted to ask for expiration date.  I said, "But I didn't finish giving you the number". He said "thank you" and hung up.

If it is a scam, they must have someway of knowing the last four numbers.

They keep calling my house about once or twice a week, but I got to bed pretty early and always miss it. Figured this is what it was. I will block them on my phone. One question... if you are on the national do not call list, can they still call you because it's a charity? I'm on the list and I never get calls like this.

Twice I asked to be on the DO NOT CALL list but this organization ignores my requests.  These fundraising robo calls are obnoxious.

These guys called me too...left me no voicemail so I called back does have an option to be removed from list but customer service .....either way not giving no one a dime!

This is the royal order of the fraternal police hood, with their new Robot Voice dialer, it pretends to "Cough", it calls constantly, and if you say "take me off your list, it just hangs up".   Just called me at 8 am in the morning.  I gave them 20$ a couple years ago and now it's as if I caught herpes, it'll never go away and it keeps irritating me weekly.

It is the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police calling for a donation. Quite pushy.

FYI....They are not really associated with the police department.  They tried this at my office and we found out that the money DOESN'T go to help the policemen or their families.

Called local Police Dept to ask If they were aware of solicitations being made in Western WA from Eastern WA?

They just called asked for a Cindy, I said hey had the wrong number and they just hung up! I'm glad they didn't try to hit me up anyway.

Jerk that calls me seemed very nice at first. Wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise but asked me not to hang up. Said they'd like me to donate 30 40 or 50 dollars to the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police from Kennewick. I said I don't live in WA state anymore and he hung up on me. I was annoyed since I listened to him. So...even if I did live there still. I would not donate. What a jerk. Get new people if you have to solicit money. And another thing...You should ask people to donate what they CAN not make them pay a certain amount.
