just got a call, asked for my husband. told him he is not available and he went on about how great work police in our area is doing and now it is my time to pay them back.
where we live, no police come around. in fact we call sheriff, they may show up..... about 5hrs later....
anyways, this caller have told me if I could send some donation, I told him we do not have any extra at this time.  he still goes on "well, that is okay. I will still send you the pledge and you could send it back as soon as you can, okay?"   I said, "no, we can't" and he asks my first and last name and how to spell them.
You call my house and ask my name?! no! I am not telling my name.

glad I looked up. I blocked this # too.

They asked for my husband by name. Then the male rep started coughing so I hung up.  He had a real loud and clear voice. Weird.

This number calls all the time but it says they will clean your ducts.  When I call back they say they are for a police memorial foundation.  Larry rude and hung up on me.

I just got a call from this number, the caller ID said WA FOP, a man asked if I was the lady of the house, I said yes and he says thank you very much, good bye.  So what's that about?

Caller identified his organization as Fraternal Order of Police stating that he was calling from Kent, Washington. The Secretary of State lists several chapters from around the State, all listing the same Registered Agent, JEANETTE SIMINGTON, with a Kennewick, Washington address. According to the Secretary of State, this organization is listed as a tax exempt 501C8 corporation. Under Fraternal Order of Police / Washington State Lodge, Program Services report -0- funding, which means that NO donations were used to help the police. Under a separate listing with the Secretary of State, Washington State Fraternal Order Of Police Memorial Foundation, JEANETTE SIMINGTON is also listed as the Registerd Agent, According to the Secretary of State, this organization is listed as a tax exempt 501C3 corporation. A third organization, Washington State Fraternal Order of Police Labor Coalition (or something to that effect), lists JACK SIMINGTON as Registered Agent. In the limited time I spent researching this organization, I was unable to discover any further details.

ADVICE: DON' T GIVE ANYTHING to these organization. Though they are listed as a nonprofit organizations, very little is spent on Program Services.

I don't want any more calls from these people. I don't answer them. Lately they have been calling at least twice a week.

The name of this group is the Fraternal Order of Police. Why? Because they're not the police. They're a stand-alone "donation" organization that actually pockets almost all of the money they receive. So if you receive a million dollars in donations and only give $20 of it to the organization you claim to be soliciting for, you too can be a phone charity!

Scammers full of lies and deception. Very little of what you'd give them even goes to the police.

recieved call stating Fraternal Order of the Police - asked me not to hang up.  Started a sob story about how the police departments do so much for the communities they live in. So coming up was either a request for contribution or some other crap.  Told him the military does much more for this country than the fire or police department and those poor lads/gals get spit upon or s*** upon by their own communities.  Look at it like thise when these troops return from the war what will they do? their jobs have been given to the Chinese.

Here's why:
 1. Volume of calls - 2 - 3 times per week (I do not answer)

 2. Time of calls - 7pm to 8:15pm ( I have a 3yr old & 6 yr old I'm putting to bed)

 3. Intimidation & scare tactics (i.e. "This is officer Mcalister with the Wa State Patrol. Is this Mr. Smith? [long pause] I'm calling on the behalf of the WA FOP..)

 4. MIsleading information - (i.e. "I'll send you a sticker that you will want to be sure is visible on your window should you get pulled over. I can't say you'll get out of your ticket, but we do like to know who supports us."

This organization is notorious.  20% or less goes to the charity. I've suspected in the past it is a clever, computerized recording programed to sound like you are talking to a person. I tried giving odd responses this time, and it just talked over me...I block these numbers, but they keep coming up with new ones.

I get a call from this number, which caller ID says is in Maple Valley, WA,  a couple of times a week, but they always hang-up in 3 rings, so haven't talked to anyone. Since I have a phone service which allows me to block callers by number, this on is being blocked tonight.

I got a call to, same thing. "Fraternal" yeah right!

I got a call from this number also, except for the last numbers are -0659. Same thing some kind of fundraiser for the Kennewick police department. I said no but they were pushy.

Just received a call from this number, and like Suspicious says above, they were asking for donations to a police org in Kennewick.

So they haven't got enough $$ from frivolous tickets?  Like not making a full stop at a 4 way stop sign when there are NO other cars anywhere to be seen?  Or going 1 mile over the speed limit when they,  who are apparently above the law, can flash their lights so they can get home early?  Intersections with cameras installed purley for the $$.   I would not give a cent to anything with the "so called" police.   If you get a call from this number, #1 know that you are not dealing with a police officer..he is too busy gathering $$ from petty offences.. #2 this is a hired telemarketer...his/her job is to get more $$ out you.  #3 Please report them..as this is not fair that they "masquerade" like we are helping them out when they have no problem helping themselves to our pocket books already.  Oh, and when you get a ticket..just remember it's their word (which is gold in the eyes of the law) against yours.  Guilty until proven innocent...unfortunatley.

Got a hangup on my machine for this number. Called back to find out who it was. Machine that answered says it was the customer service line for the Washington State Fraternal order of Police. Blocked the number so they can't call back.

Received a call from this number. Said they were looking for money for some Police organization and were based in Kennewick WA. I was immediately suspicious - 425 area code is for east side/north King County, not Kennewick in Eastern Washington. Don't know if they are on the up and up or not, but didn't give any money.
