This post by 'Miami Senior' is by the scammers. They put up these false posts on a regular basis.

You need to have your favorite actor tell you how to recognize a FILTHY SCAM before somebody steals all you money.

I think i got a call from John He seemed nice and helpful. i did not think i twas a scam. He said I would get my device in the mail. I'm still not sure when it will be here. I was watching a program on PBS that was very helpful to seniors called Empowering Minds with Martin Sheen. He is my favorite actor and  i trust him. they gave helpful tips.

I received the same phone call tonight from John. I let him go to voice message. He really does sound like a real person. Because I am a senior I thought one of my kids or siblings thought they were being funny. I am also on the do not call list. Really, how can we stop this scam? I redialed the number and it says "not a working number". They could just get a real job and do something decent.

Identifies himself as 'John' from the 'shipping department', trying to schedule the delivery of a medic alert system.

I never ordered one, so I hung up.

Yes, I'm getting calls saying I've been presellected to recieve a free medical alert system; press 1 to schedule its instillation, press 5 to decline the offer & be removed from their calling list so that they won't call me again!  But no matter what I do, they keep calling me again & again & again; its damn annoying, harassment!  Hate it!

The guy wouldn't shut up! I hung up on him. We are not a senior or in need of such device. Feel sorry for seniors who fall prey.

I received an email late last month about this scam.  I don?t bother to ?press 1? for these types of calls because that?s only inviting more heartburn with very little chance to dish any back.  Don?t know what they are fishing for ? info or to squeeze a sale of something totally worthless to the gullible ? but an old saying comes to mind ? ?if it?s too good to be true, then it?s probably isn?t.?  If a friend bought you a service, they would normally tell you about it.

I will say that the recording used is, ah, innovative. It almost sounds like it?s live vice a recording until the very end.

I have received at least 10 calls from this number plus the same message with a different number in Walla Walla. The same voice is on each number. I am tired of the calls and want them to stop. Today is the second time I have answered the call just to find out who keeps calling.

I do not need a medical alert!!!

Yes, mine is exactly the same.  6:19 on the dot and he sounds like a real person.

Calls everyday...caller I D says Washington

Dial *60 and follow the instructions to block certain numbers. We have comcast telephone service. Just got that recorded call from "John" for the 3rd time.

This guy for 425-492-1746 must be a stalker.  He says he is John from shipping to ship me a life alert product that "someone has recommended and paid for for us" but he calls every day, several times a day.  I am on the no call list but that doesn't stop him either.  I asked what it would take for him to quit calling but he just gives his prepared speel.  His calling has been for over a month now and he refuses to quit.

"John" keeps calling - how do you set phone to not accept calls from this number?

Caller ID said WASHINGTON and gave the phone number.  I didn't answer.

I'm receiving these calls on my mobile which is way more annoying. I've started to save these numbers under the names SPAM1, SPAM2, etc. This way I can easily identify them and push the ignore button.

This number calls at dinnertime, a dead give away that it's someone we DON'T want to talk to.....thanks for the heads up that it's a sales robo call.

I get 2-3 calls every day from these people. They have a emergency safety system that is free and they want to schedule for an installation. It is a recording AND a scam.
I'm on the "Do not call list" but, that makes no difference. I contacted the Washington State Atty General and they said if they had the address of the company, they would be able to shut them down. Until then, have their number placed on a "Blocked" list with your phone company. This also works with your cell phone. Contact the carrier and have the number (s) blocked.

I report EVERY number that calls my land line. not that it help but I like the confirmation I find here that shows these numbers to be solicitations. I never answer, my outgoing greeting says something like 'welcome to the national do not call registry bla bla bla' I hope it scares them hahaha. I use this dumb majicjack phone system, it alerts me via email where I can download and listen...this call was 10 seconds long but there was no message.

Same scam. Programmed my VOIP provider to respond with an 'ECHO test'.

I just filed a complaint with the WA Attorney's General office.  This number is a scam targeting the elderly to gain personal info.

7/02/2013   7:21pm received call from "John, from Emergency Medical Services.  Wanted to set up apt for delivery of emergency kit we ordered.  Told him we didn't order anything and hung up the phone.  Caller ID showed as WASHINGTON.  Obviously a scam of some sort.

This "SOUNDS LIKE" a live person and is not -- just interrupt him and you'll figure that out.  He SAYS my emergency medical alert system is ALREADY PAID FOR and even shipping...  But I'm supposed to press one if I want to schedule something and press two if I already have one.

SERIOUSLY -- these guys are obviously out to scam the elderly and the ill.

called us repeatedly telling us we have a Medical Alert system already paid for that needs to be set up. SCAM!  I pressed 5 several times and still get the calls.  "John" sounds like a real person, however he isn't. and to call back gets you a disconnected number
