Same here but I get the call everyday

This call is creepy because it calls everyday and if I pick up, it listens for about 7-10 seconds and then gives me a machine "Good-Bye".

Received a call on our business phone-- nothing on other end until a little beep and then "Good-bye"

I just decided to google the area code on this! Got this phone call today, we have a ad on RV trader and then i think the same person emailed me about it because it said a RVtrader sales lead. Then got the phone call from this number. My husband said that it sounded like someone interested but sounded like they were from a company that tries to help you sell them (for a fee) by the questions the guy was asking...Then he said it just hung up...

Auto Trader SUCKS Bigtime !!!!!  You list a car with them for their overpriced fee that only puts your ad on the internet(no more magazines) and all you get is 50 marketing calls from scummy marketing companies trying to rip you off.  The reason these a**les hang up on you is they are looking for an answering machine to leave a message about their services.  They don't want to take the time to talk to a real person.

Same as everyone else. Craigslist and Autotrader car ads. Looks like another robot to slay.

As soon as I listed my car for sale on autotrader.com I started getting massive calls from marketing company's.

Dito. Placed an add in autotrader with my cell # in it. I get a call once or twice a day from this #. It says to be taken off the list press 1 but that doesnt seem to acomplish anything. Sure is annoying.

I just got a call from this number, just a pause then a beep and a woman saying "goodbye." I have a car listed for sale on craigslist. That listing is coming down immediately!

Ditto...Autotrader ad...calls me everyday for the last 10 days...all silence.

I keep getting calls over and over from 425-645-9799.  I says give us 72 hrs to remove you number, but this has been going on for at least 10 days.  And no number to call them back and yell at someone very annoying.

Get daily calls from this number but no one responds so now I just ignore it.  I too had a Craigslist ad for a car however if that is connected somehow.

Same issues that everyone else is describing here, seems Craigslist is the common thread. If someone know hows to stop these calls please post how to get them to stop. Thanks!

Glad I decided to google this number.  I recently had a van for sale on craigslist, didn't use autotrader - and also used craigslist to put up a motorcycle sale.  That's when Mary Smith started calling me.  This is my business line, and it's getting annoying - however, neither Mary - nor anyone else - has said one word yet.  At least now I know that it's some type of scam and if anyone actually does answer, well - I'll figure that out when it happens!

If i wanted your terrible service to help sell my car (once listed on AUTOTRADER), I would have called them!  Funny that once I paid $80 for my autotrader ad, I had ZERO phone#  views but somehow managed to get 2 calls per week from this number trying to help me sell my car for a small fee of course.  $80 to autotrader, basically paying for this harrasment with no hope of selling my car through them.  

I WILL NEVER USE AUTOTRADER.COM TO BUY/SELL/LOOK AT another vehicle.  Since when do you have to PAY for harassing phone calls without any buyer potential.

I had a car for sale on auto trader and got multiple missed calls from this number.  talked to a guy once asking about the car I had for sale.  He was polite enough and hung up when i told him i sold it

I receive a call from this number on a daily basis. I have a listing on Craigslist and Autotrader. It definitely started happening after the AutoTrader Ad. Even though I blocked them my phone still rings once and shows their number before it blocks them. I'm reporting them to the Feds!

I placed an ad in autotrader and shortly after started getting calls from 425-645-9799 numerous times with the silence then goodbye, but today a man name Lavelle spoke to me very rudely then when I tried to tell him I'm not interested he immediately hung up on me.  I tried to call back but I got the same recording as mentioned earlier ("72 hours to put my number on the do not call list")  The guy was trying to sell me a service to sell my truck.  I think they want to get you cc info and scam everyone. I hope thier game gets put to an end soon.

This phone number (which shows up as Mary Smith on my youmail account) and many others have been calling non-stop for the last several weeks right after I paid Autotrader $100 dollars to advertise my truck. Someone had to have gotten the number from the add and then probably sold it off to others too after I pulled the add. I sold the truck quickly, but have been harassed by many schemes since then. Fortunately, I am about to change my number to a local number and not have to deal with it.

One thing Verizon lets you do is block the number. However, they charge $5 per month for this service. May be worth it if this happens again after changing my number.

YouMail is good for these annoyances. You can add the numbers into your contacts and then assign them personal greetings. Ones that are pre-recorded messages like dialtones, call cannot be completed as dialed, number is no longer in service, etc. You can even record your own greetings for telemarketers, etc. If you get one that wont stop calling; program them into your phone and set the number to go direct to voicemail if you have the capability. The Moto Droid does for sure. Be nice though. The point is to get them to stop calling you. You can do this without being mean. :-)

yes i had an ad on craigslist in California

Quick question to all of you...when you started to receive the call(s) from this number did you have your number listed on a Craigslist "For Sale" ad?  I have an active ad and have received a call from this number multiple times.  Strange!

Calls about once per day, mostly just silence.  I called back once and got the same message from someone on another post, saying if you do not want future calls press 1.  Today, got two calls, both from someone asking about a car I had for sale.  Both were polite when I said I did not have a car for sale and hung up.  Weird!

Answered the call and got only silence.  Hung up and called back.  Got a recording saying "thank you for calling back, if you do not want to be included in future calls for our preferred marketing service, please press 1 to be placed on our do not call list.  It may take up to 72 hours for the request to be processed."

Same thing as nice_guy, annoyed, and toponas but I had my contacts erased from my iPhone. Coincidence?

I got a call from the number and when I said hello, the woman said goodbye

Phone rang.
Me: Hello.
Caller: Can I speak to Todd(not my name)?
Me: No.
Caller: Why?! Are you a dummy?!
       - Caller immediately hung up after saying this, which was the smartest thing he could have done because I love to verbally abuse these people. Its fun. 'Im not shy about it either. I'll go low right from the start, spewing nasty, racial, profanity laden epitaphs. Now Ive got his number in my auto dialer along with many others. Now he'll get hundreds of hang up phone calls from me, every day, until I decide to stop them. Haha. I love technology.

Received this call on a business phone.  Dead silence then "Goodbye" as if I had been leaving a message on a recorder.  Next time I let it go to the answering machine and it did the same thing.
