CALLS EARLY BEFORE 8AM & AFTER 9PM
I never answer unknown calls and they never leave a message...

Exactly! Annoying as it is receiving calls from this number (and many others) calling back and/or answering the call is going to make it worse. Dont ever give out info! I blocked this number among others on my droid manually.

received multiple calls to my cell phone from this number about "my credit card" and it seems to be a offer for another credit card

I got this note back from "Do Not Call List" after I reported this telephone number:
Thank you for contacting our office. The phone calls you are receiving concerning calls for Georgia Jones are scam calls. They are Phishing for information. The phone number listed on your caller ID is not a working number. They are spoofing the caller ID making it appear the calls are coming from a number they are not coming from. Due to this, the calls can not be traced. This type of call usually comes from overseas. The best thing to do is when you see their phone number on your caller ID is to not answer the phone. As you have found you will not get anywhere with these people.
Sincerely,
Office of Attorney General

They are using more than one number to call. They also use 503-468-5012. Supposedly they are a political research firm. If its for Obama they can stop calling now, cuz I ain't voting for him thats for damn sure.

Got a call from this # on my cell even though I'm on the do-not-call list. Probably not much hope of shutting these folks down, but it can't hurt to try
| Mitch 2012-03-18 17:26:00 Unknown |
I received a call from them at 9PM last night. I wish there was a way to stop them, but guess we have to put up with the aggravation!

what does the robo caller gain even when someone picks up. I'm a "don't pick up" believer esp with caller I D, it's easy.

This number called me yesterday 3/15 at 1:56pm Pacific. I didn't answer ? I don't answer unknown numbers, and I was asleep at the time anyway ? and these "surveys" and other junk calls finally pissed me off enough that I just set my phone to "No Ringer" for all unknown/unsaved/blocked ID calls. If a number isn't already in phone book, my phone won't even ring. Take THAT, robo-b*****ds!
| KWH 2012-03-16 23:04:17 Unknown |
I was just at the Do Not Call Registry's site to report a call from this number, and the front page says that as of Feb. 2008, listings in the registry will not expire:
"Your registration will not expire. Telephone numbers placed on the National Do Not Call Registry will remain on it permanently due to the Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007, which became law in February 2008. Read more about it at http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/04/dncfyi.shtm."

I answered the phone. It was a pre-recorded voice asking me to participate in a survey about the national debt. Then it said for my participation, I would be eligible for a free two-week cruise. I immediately hung-up the phone after I heard that, and then I put the phone number on my block list to prevent future calls.

This number has called before. Last night, March 15th, 8:30pm, they called again. It's some kind of politicial survey. There is an option at the end of the recording that you can opt to have your name taken off of their list. But I just did that a couple days ago. So...I did it again this morning. WE'll see if it will actually work.
I don't understand how these types of calls can continue harassing people, without consequences.

Just realized it was the same # that called my cell last night about the same time -- but the Caller ID said WA, USA.

you never get taken off a list , Do not call registry doesnt work either , they keep calling , Home phone or cell .Caller ID is the only answer,, I don't recognize the number I dont answer, If they dont leave a message it's not important,I got the call today from that number , All I did was type in 425 here and the whole number came up leading me to here. Anyways dont answer if you don't recognize the number , Simple as that.

i'm a disabled person with totally blindness (both eyes) due to a combat injury.
i highly prize, and closely guard, my privacy.
not only at any of my homes, but also over the internet, or over traditional phones, or even over my cell phones...
i do survive easier now with the use of an iphone... and now, with having the very latest versions of the technology... so when those auto dialed calls from that number 425.658.8928 come in, i tell them, as soon as i can speak to an actual human... that i have ALL my phones on do not call lists, both federal and state lists... for personal numbers AND for corporate numbers.. and to please stop calling, and indeed i keep getting even more calls from them.
my new iphone announces incoming numbers if they are NOT persons/entities i've added to my address book already...
i found i can block calls once i know the numbers the auto dial people use. but they just get new outbound numbers and start calling all of us with new numbers all over again.
my opinion is there should be real consequences for companies or individuals who invade persons personal spaces even after being asked to be removed, OR for those on the do not call national database... that those who continue to harass people on their home or cell phones or rather, anywhere the person they call may happen to be... it's horrible to be blind and to just answer when my phone rings... just to be bothered by those same entities calling over and over with their auto dialer equipment, which is even more annoying than a real human.
they should, the entities, should be fined at first, thousands of dollars per each and every time they are found in error.
they actually are breaking laws... those who are brought to task for their misuse of the data... they just change the names of their dbas or companies... and go right back using the same auto dialers.
it's a total shame that the USA can't get any of their corporations or sole propriators prosecuted or otherwise higly fined, and fined even more, for each subsequent time they get a report of misuse.... they should be charged/fined enough so they would think twice to continue... as everyone knows, money talks... so, losing money hurts their bottom line. and if they are fined enough to hurt, and they still use the auto dialers and misuse the data for new numbers... they should be put in jail or even prision. and have to pay for their stays in jail or prison....
besides, some of my friends, must PAY or be billed more by thir cell companies if they go over minutes or if they have prepaid... no matter if it's a telemarketing call or not... if they answer... the time is still taken off, etc.even when they call and tell their cell providers and tell them the specific calls were unsolicited and auto dialed. even when those calling give NO call back number or state other ways to remove your data from their databases.
so. just consider me really pissed! aggravated!
think of the cartoon character, 'yosemite sam' - smoke escaping his ears and he jumps up and down in anger about the varmit..
that's me, minus the short stature, colorful dialogue, gender, hair color, name, and smoke not actually escaping my ears.
that's my peeve for the day. week. month. maybe even year. i highly value my privacy in person, at any of my homes, internet devices, or of course, any of my homes phones or any of my cell phones. add to that the calls my staff receives on office numbers, taking them from their real work task, wasting even more of my payroll for those damned unsolicited, auto dialed phones calling my telephones.
thank you for the opportunity to vent.

Got a call from this number on my cell, which number is only known to family and very close friends. Obviously a robo-dialer. Most likely a telemarketer. The caller ID just said "Washington". I rejected the call without answering.
