I get around 10 calls a day from this number, finally after weeks of this I Googled it and found this site. I have NEVER donated blood but my son has through his school and since he was a minor when he did it apparently he put my number down and I get all the calls with no voicemail. Since reading these comments it doesn't look like asking nicely to be taken off the call list always works I just used the handy BLOCK feature on my phone so the calls will no longer come through. I get that it's for a good cause but like others have said, this annoying calling people several times a day might not be the best way to go about it.

We get at least 3 - 4 calls a day from this number and we're on the DO NOT CALL list. We don't have caller ID so if we don't recognize the number, we let the answering machine pick it up. They NEVER leave a message. Now that I know it's the PSBC, I will NEVER donate again. They never give up and this is what is known as unwanted harrassment. I also logged a complaint with the DO NOT CALL registry about PSBC harrassment.

I've never had anything to do with PSBB so I even know how they hot my number. First call but after reading these posts they have been blocked.

I don't want people calling me and not letting me know who they are or why they call. I pay for my phone service and I should get to choose who calls me. Phone spam doesn't apply to that.

This number is calling me about every day but when i answer the phone, there is no one to talk to. I consider it very offensive and annoying - sometimes I am busy doing something, stop whatever - maybe climb down off a ladder to answer the phone... no on there... this is stupid and whatever the caller wants I sure am not inclined to cooperate given the annoyance....

For us who have little time, 18 credits and full time, I have managed to drop in when I could, many times they are rude and they have turned me away because they didn't have time, or it was getting close to closing or breaks. I have had rude people drawing blood, doing it wrong, or walking off not realizing there was an issue. I have given double only to have it last over an hour because the person was too busy doing other things. Amy and the other people posting that people that take the time they have to give blood should stop complaining about the calls need to honestly shut up. Have you been burnt will working on machine because they keep calling you? Can't turn off the phone because you have to have it on for work, can't pick it up because you are working with an tool that can cut your hand off. They call during a meeting when you have to stop everything to pick it up. I have asked several times not to be called and yet they still do. All people are asking it not to get bugged. It is not like we are getting anything in return for donating.
P.s. it would be nice if they would check our blood for things like cholesterol levels so it may bring in more donors.

You are lying...they only send it to donors stopped joining in stuff you don't know about. ...

I'm not sure why some of you get SO MANY calls. I personally don't get more than one call occasionally to ask for a donation. I don't donate everytime they ask however, I'm happy they remind me because it isn't something I'm always thinking about. I'm happy to donate and appreciate the reminders. It is a great cause and saves many lives. Who knows it may save mine or a loved ones someday.

We just got a working telephone line at work with a brand new phone and phone number which no one really knows yet. It is for our business. Not personal. This number the other day called SEVEN TIMES. Then the other day before that, 4 times. Every time I would answer, I would just get a dial tone or it would give me the beeping when someone hangs up. It's really annoying being at work answering phone calls that just beep at me while I'm wrapped up in 20 other things.
These guys really need to get their stuff together and cut it out. For real.

I have been getting at least 8-10 calls a day for the last month from this number. There is never anyone on the line when I pick up. It now is at the point where whenever I see this number pop up on caller ID I hang up without saying a word.

They call me at least three times a day, seven days a week. I always ask them to remove my phone number, but they never do. The calls just keep coming. I plan to file a complaint if it continues much longer. I get it that they need donors, that's why I donated. But, I don't need to be harassed. I plan to donate elsewhere from now on. It's a shame.

Number called, left no message so I called back. The number now belongs to events and adventures. It's a group that hosts events for singles in your area. I didn't get a whole lot of info, but they seemed friendly and removed me from the call list upon request.

Called me TWICE during the Seahawks playoff game with Atlanta... WTH!!!

D'oh! Actually, you're 100% wrong-at least in this case. The Puget Sound Blood Center is not only legit, they are the only blood donor organization in the Puget Sound area (as their name would imply). Those other places that buy your plasma are not where you donate blood (by definition). They only pay for your plasma, and don't take the blood.
I donate regularly and this is how they contact me to tell me it's time to donate again. It IS annoying until I realize it's them again-but I also just ignore the phone calls until I feel like setting up a new donation date.
As much as I too despise auto-dial telemarketers, you really do need to dial it back a bit!

Puget Sound? Washington? Then why the hell are they calling me in Tucson AZ, to a local Tucson phone number?? I damn sure am not going to travel to Washington to donate blood.
Lets hear an explanation from this place for that one.

I don's see anyone here disputing the fact that donating blood is good for everyone involved. So, please, don't judge those of us that are annoyed with multiple calls. Firstly, when I signed up, I asked to be contacted by email. But somewhere down the line they started calling. They usually call when i am at work and cannot answer. Second, I donate when I can, but I don't want to be called 4 times a day, everyday until I do. I've answered the phone and told them that I will come in when I can, and to stop calling. But of course, two months after I donate, the calls start happening again. Yeah, I get it. There's always a shortage. And No, I'm not going to stop donating blood out of spite. I'm doing my best to help! All I want is for some modifications for their contact system. A simple email or just 1 call would suffice. This would also help them to perhaps focus on getting new donors. I would be willing to give a monetary donation for advertisements!

I am receiving up to 5 phone calls from you a day. I am on a do not call list. Please do not call again!
| Maisie 2012-11-02 22:41:27 Unknown |
PLEASE stop calling! four times in the last two hours. Answered, hang up.

I know this post is old...but for anyone reading this, if you have verizon, you can block calls. I entered their number in my block calls list and never hear from them again. The thing is I have to update the list every three months but that's okay...better than the harassment of phone calls 5 times a day. Check your phone carrier and see if you have this option.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't mind donating...until they started annoying me.

My husband has been donating blood for more than, 15 years, didn't realize this was your number. He will be in soon, he's pretty diligent. And I might add the poor man hates needles...lol! Thank you John Reagan for your post!

Its the Puget Blood Center. They are probably calling to remind you of your next scheduled donation or they are asking you to donate again.
They are really friendly and are calling for a good cause, so call them back and schedule a donation :)

Please try to remember that this is a non-profit company doing a wonderful service for the community. In addition to blood donations, which help people survive in hospitals every day, the Puget Sound Blood Center also works with the National Bone Marrow Registry, to help those suffering from illnesses which require bone marrow transplants. I realize that receiving multiple calls per day is annoying, but consider that it takes over 900 individual donations per day, in the Seattle area alone, to keep up with demand in hospitals. PSBC is doing the best it can to keep up with that demand, and to insure that if you ever need a blood transfusion, that blood will be available.

The PSBC calls using an auto-dialer. Once you pick up the phone, even if it is just to hang up, the phone calls should stop. @Panda89 Please read a few posts above you.
It is the Puget Sound Blood Center.
If you need to be removed from their list, use the number that Amy listed just three posts above yours.
If you are on the list because you donated blood before, HUGE kudos to you. Please do so again, you really don't know how much difference you can make!

These blood sucking vampires are driving me nuts! They went to my daughters school & she donated blood. Not only do they call my house phone but my cell phone to. I have asked them to remove both my numbers & they still call! How do you get them to stop?
