I too would like to report number 1425 905 3074. This number makes phone call to the Netherlands a lot.
They call regularly to tell you that something is wrong with your computer...
It would be nice if there were a way to block this number altogether ! Anyone have any ideas as to how?

My elderly mother (82) in the Ntherlands received a number of calls from this number, but the call confused her. She was concerned something was wrong with our family in the US. I asked her to write down the number when they called again and she did.
Thanks for this site I see this is a scam (note my mum does not even own a computer, so any idiot claming she'd send out spam ) ....
I would hope the F@#^$%@# behind this number can be prosecuted for fraude one day.. Expect these calls from Nigeria or such, not from the US..

Same here. Since a day or two I got a phonecall from 425-905-3074.
Indian accent. I hung up immediately.
Now he keeps ringing. I don't answer.
In Dutch:
Het is duidelijk dat het iemand is die voornamelijk Nederlanders belt.
Doel: ongetwijfeld phishing
Dus: niet meer opnemen als hij belt, want z'n nummer is duidelijk herkenbaar.
Of blokkeren.

Response in Dutch to Ton.

Warning: 0014259053074 is a scam that is calling people in The Netherlands. They claim to be the Windows Helpdesk, Windows Service Center en Microsoft Support. They are non of those. They are criminals who try to make you install harmful software which steals your passwords, they try to get your credit card information so they charge you for that software and they try to get your personal information for identity theft.
Do NOT install any of their software, do NOT give them any information. Just hang up or tell them you use Linux. Microsoft has already issued a warning that neither Microsoft nor their partners call people to make them download and install software and then charge them for it.
For Dutch people search Google for TROS Radar where there is story about this.
| creditcard guy 2013-03-12 13:01:27 Unknown |
don't answer these calls. they are from somebody pretending to work for Microsoft. All they want is your creditcard details.

This morning I was called in the Netherlands by this number. It happened to be about the expiration of Windows Security installed on my new computer just two weeks ago. They showed me that the software was expired and that my eventlog files were full of errors and warnings. They said that they were going to clear them. While starting that I saw them entering a start-up password that they didn't tell me anything about.
While scanning (?) my system they began offering a registration of their product for 2-years up to a lifetime period for a lot of Euros. They keep insisting to make a choice.
After restarting the system is waiting for a password, which I don't have and they didn't want to give it to me at that time. They said they are going to call back in half an hour.
It took them almost an hour to call again and at that time I told them that I want them to remove the password or otherwise I would inform the police. They were not able (willing) to free my computer from the startup password; I should solve that myself by contacting Microsoft localy because the computer was connected to the Microsoft database and they had locked my PC! They hung up on me after that, telling me that they will call back tomorrow to find out if I've changed my mind.
In the meantime I had disconnected my PC from the network and restarted my computer using the installation CD in the repair mode and everything is working okay.
I think it is a bunch of aggresive pushers that have access to information from Microsoft about new installations.

I am living in the Netherlands. This number 0014259053074 is also calling every day again and again and they are presenting themselves as microsoft employees with the message that my computer does have a serious virus which can only be solved by them. The caller is speaking bad english and is most probably located in India ( phone linked from USA to India) .
| LJG 2013-02-23 13:11:08 Unknown |
Yes, I found the number on my caller ID but no message left. When calling the number I get a constant busy signal.

Got a call from this number a wel (I live in the Netherlands)l. Sounded like an Indian guy. Knew immediately this was a scam about windows computers. I let him bite a little. He asked me if my computer was on...it was. He directed me to keys on my keyboard. I said I found one key but couldn't locate the other...the windows key. He started all over again but I told him I still couldn't find the windows key. He seemed stumped. I then told him I don't own any windows computers, only Macs, and that I considered him and his story fake. He hung up on me...so much for customer relations -;)

I was called 3 times within about 30 minutes today by the same Indian-sounding gentleman. I put it to him that he was trying to sell me something, but "no no, I want to protect your computer". He claimed he was calling from the UK despite the American phone number format. Even though I clearly told him the first time that I was not interested and he should not invade people's privacy in this way, it did not stop him calling twice more. Clearly it is a computer doing the dialling, and he only comes on line once the call has started, but I wonder where he has found my number (in The Netherlands). This sort of thing is annoying.

We have been called several times over the last few days by this number. Yesterday we were called on 11:58 AM and 13:40 PM. Today, we were called on 09:30 AM, 11:11 AM, 14:24 PM, and 16:33 PM. Wondering what they will do tomorrow?
GUys who speak English with a heavy (Indian) accent are suggesting that computer is hacked and want us to install software which can take over PC (www.ammy.com). We did not install any software... We have informed the police.

Got three calls yesterday and three today (in The Netherlands) from this number 001-425-905-3074. Found out that it's a cell phone registered in Everett (Washington). Sounds like the same guy in the messages above: a man with an Indian accent saying he works for the Microsoft Helpdesk and noticed that someone has been trying to break in my computer during the last couple of weeks. He asked me to switch on my computer so he could help me fix this security problem. I asked for his name and he said something like Grant Smith. Then I told him that I have a MacBook and he fell silent. I warned him that I would report him to the police as an internet criminal if he would call me again. Hope he stops calling our number.

two calls today from this number. Question: do you speak English. Answer; no. We suspect someone one wants to get information to do bad things with.
