Debt Collector
I have never heard of this company before,  In the last week they have called my work, my in laws, and my mother.  Stating I owe for a payday loan that was taken in my name.  I have repaid this loan and ended up closing my account as they kept taking more money from my account than what was due.  This was from 2011 and now they start calling about this.  When I ask for verification of the debt in writing they refuse and threaten to garnish my wages.  Last conversation I had with them I advised them to provide the proof in writing,  they said they would e-mail this and I have never received the information.  At this time if they want to file wage garnishment I say go for it,  this means they have to prove the debt is real and they can not.  If they can prove it is real I will pay them,  but until I have proof I will not pay someone on a three year old debt that I have never received documentation of.  I do have credit accounts and I work with those that are willing to send me the information and I pay my debts,  may not be as fast as they would like,  but they get the money,  only if they provide me with the documentation.  Those that do are reputable and I will pay.  Enough said,  this company is just rude and threatening for no reason,  show me validation you will get your money.

Got a call from this number asking for my sister. I told them right away that I knew they were a collection agency and that the number and place of work that they have on file is correct.  It IS a debt that she has and she should pay for it!
They guy calling was nice enough, no rudeness or threats.  Generally if you're up front and honest AND continue to take their calls they won't call your work or family.

I have had collection agencies call for my employees and I've simply stated that I will fire the employee if they ever call back again, that stops ALL calls to their place of employment.  They're simply looking to shame the debtor into paying.

I see a lot of hate for collection agencies.  It's just another job and a pretty crappy one at that.  But they do get bonuses if they collect, and people will pay to get rid of the squeaky wheel.

Well, you illiterate simpleton... the law specifically states that the collector may not be allusive or cunning in their efforts... take a few grammar classes, before you grandstand on a blog...

Most of these companies buy lists of old debts hoping that you have forgotten you paid or try to scare you that there is still a debt owed. True, I've had some debt and also had legit collectors, however these people are just out to get money from anyone who will pay it.

Debt Collector
Hi
Look it is the law that anyone saying you owe any kind of debt has inform you in writing with 30days of contacting you.It also your right to say you can no longer can call me and only contact you can have with me is by US mail. It is also your right  to know where the debt and when and who you owe the money to. If it is your then you will know and can pay the debt. If you say longer call me and please send all future contact by mail they have to do this and after you get the information by mail you 30days to respond.
They must do and this is from a lawyer who helped me stop these kind of people from calling. And if they keep calling record what they say turn over to a lawyer and sue them you will get you money plus out of it.
I had these people call me on a debt i have paid . I have the informatation
showing the bill paid. the company keeps selling my information to some other company like and I get a call like this.

this is ncs collection and yes they are very rude. If we are going to preach the law then maybe they should know they ARE NOT to call people at work that to is the law. Which these folks have done to me. Also they blatantly  lie and say well I thought this was your cell phone. The funny Thing is my company when anyone answers says the name of the company. Come on do you think I don't know you know it is my work number.

I'm not sure how to post on here, so i'm just replying......i got a call from this number and the woman was looking for the people who bought my parents old house.....i took my number with me when i moved out of the house and it's under my dad's name. the woman said her name was nancy (as i'm looking i see nancy has been around for a while!!) she was actually very polite and chatted, mayber she's changing her approach or having an acceptionally good day........anyway i just said she had the wrong party and i know nothing about the people in that house now.....maybe that's why she wasn't mean or rude to me.

These company should at least go through a identity check to find down the person who they tried to collect debts from and call the right person instead of calling people randomly.  I think we need to get a petition going and have these company going through the right protocol for calling.  It's illegal to call people randomly and leaving threatening message. That is down right harassment and need to quit it or be sued for it!

The ridiculous thing is they assumed since you have the same last name you are related, they called asking for someone I don't even know.  And they can even at least say the reason why they call?  that is not only rude but illegal to call people up randomly!!! That is harassment in my book!!!

Yeah, this NCS company thinks it's clever.  They just called me asking for someone I know, who happens to be very private about his life.  Of course, I knew it was a debt collector calling so I told them it was a wrong number.  The caller then said Oh really?  He left me this number to contact him." A big fat lie.  Then he wanted to know my name.  He asked "whose phone number is this?" And I said: "Mine, of course."  Click.  LIke RuPaul says: You need to have Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent.  Create an acronym with those for letters, see what you get.  That's me.  Yeah, and I'm a guy.

A call from some rude guy who did not identify himself and spouted that I owed for a payday loan. I have never had any kind of cheap a$$ loan and don't owe any money I am not aware of and am in good standing. He said a name and I did not hear him...he went on to say "what part of (name) did you not understand?). At that point I told him I wanted his name and who he representyed. He hung up. This is a typical collection agengy protocol? a bunch of sorry a** losers to take that kind of job. There is no defense for their existence. None.

I don't know why are you making such a distinction, unless You are making a wonderful assumption that all of the business and corporate lobbyists who lobbied and won governmental legislation allowing them to bundle debt and let debt collectors just randomly take an account and do their best to squeeze money out of it whether or not it is legitimate.  Many of these predatory calls are from collectors who have no authorization to try and collect, they do not have a client who may or may not be a party to a dispute about a potential debt.  You however, assume that business are infallible and people are the sinners.   Look into the history of businesses in Washington beltway and what they have accomplished for themselves making people give up their constitutional rights.  You may not believe in a democracy, and could possibly be such a bottom feeder as these debt collection service people.  There are even death debt collectors who cruise the obits looking for someone so they can submit a false claim, but you are probably rooting for them.

Well they stopped calling on one # and are now using a different # to call my house. I have answered numerous times, yet they NEVER ANSWER it just plays elevator music. I even waited 10+ minutes. So I have no clue who they are even trying to call for. As far as I know I have NOTHING in collections. They are quite annoying!

I said I was the wife of the individual they were calling for and "Andrew" (we on first name basis, huh?) still would not tell me what the call was regarding, that it was a private business matter. I told Andrew my husband has no privacy {lol} and hung up. He then called our cell back 3 times, later the house phone. So I typed in the number to Google to reverse trace the company and found this website. When I saw the 20 lawsuits, I almost salivated; I love being a c*^& right back to people like this. I just called him back and casually told him that I am perusing the case files of the 20 lawsuits against his company, National Credit Services, and that I will kindly ask him once never to call my number again. He replied that he represents National Credit Systems and it isn't the same company. I guffawed, but recovered when I started throwing around the word 'harassment.' Reading the rest of these posts confirms they are the same company. Anyway, he asked what number I wanted removed so I told him and he then said they had only called once this morning; I told him regardless never to call again and he replied in a most snotty matter "Get you facts straight next time" It was then that I mentioned that all calls on this line are recorded and since he wanted to communicate on this line so goddam bad, he can explain that snarky remark to his supervisor. I won't waste my time reporting his lame a**, but let me tell you if "Andrew" saw how huge my husband is, I highly doubt he'd want to bring it
