Calls ALL the time!!

Got a call from this number saying he was from a mortgage company wanted to talk with my husband regarding his recent mortgage application. When I asked for his number for my husband to call him back he hung. This happened twice on 5/5/2010

I got a call from this number and they said they were from our montage company and asked for my husband by name. I asked for the number so my husband could call him back and he hung up. Later that evening they called again and I said "Didn't you call me today and when I asked for your number you hung up on me", and again they hung up. I actually thought he was calling about our new mortgage but now know it was a scam. I wish someone can put a stop to these calls.

When I answered the call, a female voice told me that I had won-a-prize. This is a recorded message. At the end of the message, you can hit 1 to claim your prize or 2 to have it pass to the next person in line - hitting 2 also stated that my number has been removed. We will see ... If they call again, I will choose 1 and try to reach a live-person.

got a call from a guy who asked for me then he said i signed up on 123freestuff.com and said he had openings next week and asked if i could get to chandler az to pick up the prize i won . When i told him i couldnt make it there he said then i just forfieted my prize to someone else and he hung up! the call was from chase city virginia weird

Same issue here-I called the number back and it allowed me to remove my cell from their list.

This is a rip-off, folks. Someone called me from this number last night, with the same spiel about how I won a vacation (the details exactly match those of the woman who commented above me). I did some investigation into this company, which identified itself as "The Travel Club" that recently moved from Chicago to Chandler, AZ. Turns out, this company is also known as Horizon Travel, Travel Club International, and many other names. Google them, and limitless fraud complaints and rip-off reports surface. Don't waste your time or money with these people!

Have gotten several calls from this number & no message is ever left. My hubby answered the phone cuz we are waiting on tech call for Dell to get my computer fixed. These people were on the phone. The call comes from Chase, Va. & they supposedly do promotions for new businesses, this particular business is a new Travel Agency located in Chandler, AZ. Tried to get the name of the Travel Agency but the guy kept changing the subject. Supposedly I won an all expense paid vacation to either: Las Vegas, Orlando, Puerto Valeito (Rocky Point)Mexico, last but not least Cancun Mexico. When I asked how much this was going to cost me, I was told nothing except our food. But once the call was transfered to a verification agent for qualifications. I re-asked what was covered in prize. I was told the airfare is covered & the hotel may or not be covered she didn't have an answer for that one. And of course, we needed a car rental we would have to pay for that & our food expense. But we would have to pay taxes on this prize. I asked how much & she thinks it would cost at least $80 per person.
Now if this was a true prize win then we wouldn't be paying for any taxes. Those taxes would be written off by the business holding this prize winning vacation. I know because I did win a washing machine & dryer from Albertsons grocery stores & I didn't pay any taxes for those items.
So needless to say this is a scam for someone to get money & using a prize giveaway to get taxes a this prize from people.
If they continue to call you turn it over to the FCC & Federal Trade Commission & report them.
Oh they gave me a number to call them back on & when I tried looking up the number online - the internet says that number doesn't exist. 1-888-798-5909. For you call back to cancel any appt. they set up for you.
Oh a very important info for everyone they want two proofs of ID - your driver's license & a credit - either your bank card, your checkbook or another type of credit card. That stinks right there!!!

Got it three times and the third I picked up.
They asked for me and I said I wasnt in. The lady said I had a prize to collect. Sounded fishy
