Returned the call and the message said to hold until one of their agents can take the call. I held for a while and finally hung up so have no idea who the company is that called.

I received a call from a so called Jason.
I told him that I started telling him that I already spoke to one of his colleagues on Thursday about Sprint and I am making arrangements but he did not want to hear and started to scream at me.
I am filing complaints with the Attorney General of Houston Texas as they are registered there, New York as their financials are registered there and Virginia as they are using a fake Virginia number.
Respect is the least they could have shown.

Constantly get calls from this number - asking for Angus McBride - when confronted they always say they are taking my number off their call list but I will always get another call within 48 hours. Really is irritating - looks like something could be done to keep them from harassing people.
Twinner 2011-06-06 20:49:14 Unknown
This company continues to call saying they are looking for (John Doe) - I have repeatedly told them there is no one here by that name - I called them back today and they denied calling me although their name & no was on by caller ID!!!!. They are a pain in the butt and I wish someone would file a law suit against them. I think that just might be the next thing on my list of "things to do"

I've had a new cell phone for over 1 year. And over 1 year this Penta Financial group shamelessly use robo call technique to keep calling my number (at least 3 times per week) leaving a message for another person I do not know. Judging from other people's posting, they use this practice quite widely, suppose even if the yield is 1 out of 1000, they are still ahead. Using Robo call is practically no cost to them, but they have managed to bother 999 people that have nothing to do with the debt they are trying to collect.
I suspect this practice is probably not legal. If anyone know of a government agency to report this, please post it.

It is Pendagroup, and it is a collection agency. I owed a very miniscule amount for a cable bill. I had cancelled cable and thought my account was clear. Apparently not. I kept trying to explain but they wouldn't leave me alone so I paid the 20 bucks. Then they kept calling again. I ignored it for awhile thinking the payment was just taking time to process. Finally called and oops! "We don't know why you are getting calls. It was taken care of". Thank you! Haven't heard anything since. BTW it's on an auto dialer that malfunctions...figures!
Stephanie 2011-06-06 20:49:14 Unknown
Answered the call after ignoring first few times in order to tell them off. Got an automated "We have a call for you. Please hold." Yeah, no thanks. For the record, I am current on all my bills so it shouldn't be a bill collector.

Calls 3-4 times a week no one on the other end. I just get silence for a couple minutes and then disconnected. They are calling in to a business, into my direct line.

434-533-9042 is the Penta Group Collection Agency. They called my new cell phone number and when I called back they said they were trying to contact a "Pedro" (probably someone who had the number before I had the number).
I explained I had just been assigned my new cell phone number and they said they would take my number off their list.

Penta Group Financial - Collection Agency
Like many other complaints above, I have a new cell phone number and keep getting missed calls from this number. When I dial the number back it tells me all circuits are busy, try again later. Very frustrating!

I just started getting calls today. Called back, answered, started to explain and they hung up on me. This was on my cell phone and I have had the number for a long time.

If you look at FTC's web site regarding practices these collectors are NOT supposed to engage in, it includes HARASSMENT, which includes using phone calls to annoy people. This is for people that actually owes money that they are trying to collect from, since I do not even owe any money, their practice is definitely illegal.

This is a company out of Virgina called Penta Group.
Teresa 2009-03-09 13:10:28 Debt Collector
I received a call both on the 5th and 6th of March from this number. Which happens to be my work phone... They speak very quickly so I am not 100% sure, but they said that they were a debt collection agency and to call 866-384-2097 and it sounded like Bendegroup perhaps.
I do not owe any money aside from my regularly paid debt...so I am only assuuming this is the same racket as was calling me from 240-210-7058 in the November timeframe. My lawyer advised me to hang up on these people and report them to my state's Better Business as well as any governmental agency they recommended me to. They are crooks at the least.
