I filled out a contest form at a gun show. I'm sure it's the same as others, you didn't win but get a free vacation crap. But all I heard was someone breathing on the other line in the message lol.

I know better than to sign up for these, but $2500 at Home Depot when I'm building a house is sure enticing.  Davis County Fair in Farmington.

I received an "unavailable" phone call from this number also and did not answer it either. So I went online to look it up and found this forum that explained that this number is from a marketing company. What is interesting is that in reading the posts, most of the phone calls originated from filling out contest forms. I have not filled out any during the last year so I would like to know how they are getting my phone number. This company is calling my cell phone and I DO NOT APPRECIATE THEM USING UP MY MINUTES.  STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!

Same as above (Ron). Went to the Rush concert at USANA in Utah on July 31, entered the $2500 Home Depot contest, now I'm receiving calls from this effing number.

My son and I went to the Rush concert at the USANA Ampitheater on July 31 and I entered to win a $2500 gift card from Home Depot. Guess what? On Friday, August 2 I started receiving calls from this number. I should have known it was a scam.

I received the same type of call.  I made the mistake of filling out an entry at the Ford Country Explosion at the Miller Motorsports Park.  Soon after I received a call informing me that they have great news.  He then went on to explain I was "eligible" for a free vacation.  All I needed to do was confirm my information and he would inform me of my travel dates.  Very disappointed in Ford and Miller Motorsports park for allowing a vendor like this to use my information for a scam.

I just got a call from this number however I never filled out anything for them at the fair.  A few weeks ago I did get similar calls from another service that said I filled out something  at a gun show which I do not remember filling out.  The managers at the gun show also say they had no idea who they were and were not happy about information obtained being used this way.  The company tried to make it sound as if the info you used to signup for drawings was at the gun show was used but managment says they do not share any info it is only used to contact you when the next show is coming.

Same as others. I filled out an entry at the Winter Palooza put on by the KidsClub. I don't remember what for, but they call 2-3 times/day telling me they have 'exciting news' and it is time sensitive. Sometimes they leave a message, sometimes they don't. Only one person has ever said who they are. The return number to call back is 1-855-306-1454. Google that number and you will find interesting information on Yelp. http://www.yelp.com/biz/ctc-cruise-travel-condos-milpitas

I filled out an entry at Winter Palooza and was assured that my info was not shared by the "Princess Festival" ladies. Not true! I have been receiving a ton of calls from global travel, etc.

I just got a call from this number from filling out and entry to win an Ipad at the Kidspaloza.  They were calling to tell me I did not win the Ipad but have won an all inclusive all expenses paid vacation to mexico.  I could tell it was going to be one of those high pressure time share deals so I hung up, googled the number and found all of this.  Do not fall for this they will have you bring your check book as stated above, it's not free.

It's from Affinity Marketing and they're selling travel programs which, of course, you get for "free", plus pay taxes and listen to a 90 minute presentation from Global Travel Network. They won't tell you the resorts, just that you have to pay fees BUT bring your checkbook as you'll need that to cover any incidentals. BIG RED FLAG! In other words, it's a high-pressure sales pitch. They got my info. from the RV Show in Sandy back in February. It was supposed to be to win an Alaskan fishing trip, but instead it's just data collection for the marketers. I'm going to complain to Greenband Enterprises, who puts on the show, that they need to let people know that their signing up for the fishing trip also passes on the perSonal info. to others. Also, DO NOT fill these things out at the fair, rv show, home shows, etc. Politely tell them you're not interested and if they persist, then walk away and tell them you know it's a scam.

Against my better judgement. I filled out an entry form at the Utah State Fair to be in a drawing...this un-solicited call was my reward. No doubt the company sells the info or retains it, in order to solicit the "Non-Winners".

I called the number back and it was a travel agency. They were unsolicited so I blocked them!
