Got a call on my CELL PHONE!

Told them it was a private cell phone, they were breaking the law, I would report them and not to call back.

"Hello, this is credit card services calling in reference to..."

Then I hung up on them.  I added that number to my Verizon call blocking but Verizon has already disconnected it, so maybe I didn't even need to block it?  I'm sure they'll be back with some new number.  Some of them use more than a dozen numbers at the same time.  They're all a bunch of scam artists.

I now have AT&T uverse (home phone - landline thur Internet ) and I figured a way thur Uverse Feature that allows ONLY  20 incoming numbers. And it works great I only wish it would increase to 40 or 50.  Does not affect outgoing calls. And does not require additional fees. You can Easily use a  pc / Tablet to add numbers Finally I have peace of mind. Only 20 numbers can ring phone! Busy signal to all others!

I continually get phone calls, each from different numbers, regarding "lower interest rates from chase card services".  when I try to call this number back., Verizon phone says it is not a working number.  How do we stop thisi??  They are calling me on my CELL PHONE now!

When I tried to call this number back from another phone, it said the phone # is not in service... funny it just called me one minute ago.... I hate these calls

I find it interesting I keep getting the lower your interest rate scam calls. Especially since I don't even HAVE a credit card at the moment.

I received a call on my cell phone today, May 21, 2013 @ 3:33 p.m.  I answered it and it was a recording for "CREDIT CARD SERVICES" with a final notice to lower my interest rates.  The recording said "press 1" to speak with a representative.  "George" answered - when I asked to be removed from their list of callers, the JERK hung up on me!

When I called the number back to show the same kindness, it was an unlisted "Verizon" number.

I think that is how all these scumbags got my #. I rarely if ever had a solicitor call me before hand.

They get the list so they can add you to their robotic solicitations, obtaining a FREE CALLING LIST.

They just called my cell phone but didn't leave a message. I don't know anyone in Monticello, UT so I figured this was a robocall. I have been on the do not call list since it started and this is a cell phone so that is illegal anyway. I have limited minutes so it makes me angry that these people are using my minutes.

After checking a site like this I create a contact in my phone called SPAM and then add these numbers to it so when it shows up I just press ignore.  Since I get so many of these calls and I am on the Do Not Call list I have SPAM1 all thay way to SPAM6.

Just got a call from this number on my mobile.  Did not answer.  No message left.

Call from this number on my CELL. ID shows "Utah caller." Rang only twice; I didn't answer because I don't know anyone in Utah. No message left.

Recieved several calls from this number...I just want them to stop...I've even put them on the phone with my 5-year-old to chat.  I'm on the DNC list, apparently that is working out really well!

I just want to know how these jerks got my number so I can repay the favor. I've been getting these calls from different numbers for over a year now.

Called 5 minutes ago (1:45 pm PT). Figured it was one of those scam numbers so didn't bother to pick up. Jerkoffs.

Call at 3:40.  no one there, called back, Verizon message said it was "No Longer in Service or Disconnected"

The FCC has temporarily halted 9 boiler rooms that will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with FEDERAL FELONIES and subjected to significant prison time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future telemarketing. The criminals sign off, then go right back to business as usual. These same people under different companies have been sued in the past and have only paid a minimal fine. At the height of this telephone debacle it's been said that each call center was making 27 calls a second, which is a whopping 2.4 million calls in a single day.

The criminals behind this operation aren't going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them almost nothing and they make millions of them so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.

Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone.  The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation.

EVERYONE should be reporting them everywhere that they can. It is important to keep up the pressure even though nothing seems to be getting done, or else the government will just sit back and claim they are doing a good job since there are fewer complaints.
Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft and is interstate, the FBI should be forced to get involved. Charge them with a CRIMINAL offense and throw them in prison instead of the FCC saying 'Naughty - naughty, now go out and play nice'. (Prosecute them in criminal court instead of civil penalties).

Called my cell phone, no message left.  I don't answer any calls unless I recognize the number.  Most of the "card holder services" or what ever the fraudulent credit card company calls itself, calls are from spoofed numbers.  Hard to believe there is no way to track these machines calling all day every day.

the problem is they never call from the same number any two times.

Why can't these be stopped, My employer has a policy that we are to turn our phones off due to these unwanted cell calls during work.

I need my cell phone activie for emergency purposes and these calls are unwanted.  I would like to be compensated for these calls in the future.  They are using the public system to test the marketing of cell phones numbers most likely.

My number is listed with DO NOT CALL but that doesn't go far enough.  

I will code the number to do not answer and silent ring but way should this be on me.

I called it from a different number and it said it was a Verizon wireless number that could not be reached.   There is no way to tell.

Scumbags that are part of the 'lower your credit card" scam.   Affiliated with the "rachel with card services" group, they are the lowest of the low.
