how can I stop these annoying calls

Unknown caller 5 June 2014

Received a call from 438-800-0458 at 6:36 pm on June 3, 2014 came in as Unknown.

Got a call around 6 PM. Did not answer. I hate those survey calls.

A message was left on my machine saying
" This is Amy and you have won a trip to the Bahamas "

Total BS

No doubt a Scam

Another trip that i couldn't make, didn't answer the survey. Sick of those call.

Just got a call from this number. Didn't pick up.

Got a call today  from this number. Checked this site and put it into call block. I wish something could be done about these calls annoying people right across  the country!

no one talking when pickup the phone

Got a call from (438) 800 0458 Call display show Quebec. I picked up phone and quickly hung-up cutting off call.

Two calls, 1.06 & 1.07 pm today. Didn't recognize the area code & no. Ignored both calls.

no answer when I picked up.

This number just called Alberta; no voice mail.

Cute part is push 9 to get removed from list , ya think that will ever happen?

Weird. This number texted me "Can't talk right now...I'll call you later."

April 15 -Got a call on my cell @ 9:35 pm from this number, they left  no message. Added number to call block file.

Its a survey call. Just call back and press 9 to be removed from their lists...

Got this call from 1(438)800-0458 on my Telus Cell .Of course i ignored it.. If it is legit , they will leave a message, right..
but it seems theyre back to action... since 2013 noone reported them here on this site...

Yes all the above 8 pages of complaints   And those are people who complain!!  I won't answer from a number I don't recognize.  Therefore I forfeit my cruise!!! How about Rob Fords robo calls.  Very very seriously annoying as well.  What are these people doing on the DNC list. What a waste of time for us to register and re register as it expires!!! And nothing done.  
So just don't answer

This caller called my phone twice and I don;t know who it is

I just received the call from this number on my Bell cell phone, I ignored it.
What I do when I get a call from any unknown number is first check this website.  If it's scammers, surveys, telemarketers, etc. here's what I do.  I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (newer models likely work the same). I have a Contact set up named "Reject this call".  I then go into my phone Logs and select the number. I chose Update Contact and add it to that specific Contact.  Then I View the Contact and from the left touch Menu, I select Add to reject list.  Little blue prohibition symbol now shows beside the new number. The phone itself will reject any call from any number I've added to that Contact.  Not sure how many numbers I can add to a Contact, but I think it's unlimited.  Wish the Panasonic system on my landline was the same.

My cell is listed with the national do not call list, but I still get these calls. Reporting them to the CRTC does little. Doing a reverse search on the number won't give you the company because they are all unlisted numbers.  

Toronto area - got a call today, no voicemail.

Eight full pages of complaints, dating back a few years and still nothing has been done. Toothless legislation with too many loopholes and no police force or telecom provider with the tools or backbone to go after these types. Sad.

Called twice within one minute. I didn't hear it. They didn't leave a message.

Apparently I may have won a trip to the Bahamas.  This is the first time they've gotten me on my cell phone.  So much for the registering for "do not call".

Didn't answer, no message left. I called back, it says " survey time has lapsed. Thank you. To be removed from this list, press 9", and it quickly disconnected. No time to press 9!  Registered on the NO CALL LIST. The LIST is useless.  

This place calls my Rogers cellphone from multiple numbers on a daily basis -- usually when I'm driving home from work. I don't even bother answering.

Got a call from this no - didnt answer
