The answering machine got it before I got to see the caller ID. A man asked for my husband by name. It's a new phone/answering machine combo and I ended up cutting him off when I tried to answer. I used the caller ID to call back and got a recording that its not a valid number. Imagine that!

call from james jones at 440 210 4978 asking to support troopers killed in the line of duty. News report this evening 12-11-13 about a scam asking for money for troopers and police. I asked if it was him and he answered "NO" ----I hung up on him.

Call 2 calls from this no. seen it on my CID said Local Call Area "not"....How can we stop these phone calls

I received three phone calls from this guy today. I don't know who is this person that keeps calling me. Asks to talk to the lady of the house, but when I ask him who is this and what is this all about, he does not answer. Called me 3 times today. I hang up on him the last two times. If he does not want to give me information of who he is and what he wants, his call will be denied, period,

Didn't answer, no message. CID says: "Local Call Area", which is a bunch of BS, as the scammers are in 440 area, Ohio, and I'm in California.
