get calls once a day from this number for the last month or so at my work phone number and i do not answer the phone.  hoping that ignoring it will make it go away.

You can tell them they are not allowed to call that number anymore. You simply state that the person they are calling is not at that number and that if they continue to call you will file a report with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  They are NOT allowed to call if they've been told that number no longer belongs to the person they are attempting to collect from.

Same.  Called at least seven times in last five days.  All calls recorded on CID so I have no idea what they would have said if they'd reached me.

I wish I knew who this was because they call my cell phone way too often and just hang up.

Obessive calls

Agree with Julee, caller is obessive, 4-5 missed calls a day even on weekends. Never leaves a message unknown who is calling.

These people are furious about collecting moeny for the kirby vacuum,its my due date and i always pay on my due date yet if i dont make the payment by 9am i recieve calls all day long about it even after i make the payment,These people are idiots,if I knew the finance company was going to be like this I wouldnt have bought the vacuum.I pay on time with check by phone and have been for three months now and still they call.I LOVE CELLPHONES WITH BLOCKING CAPABILITIES,THAY JUST MADE THE LIST HEHEHHE

Update: This number belongs to United Consumer Financial based in Westlake, OH. They provide financing for home products such as Kirby vaccuums. I've gotten calls from these people before, though I have never used a consumer loan service for anything. Once got a call from a woman who would not identify herself even when I demanded after she asked me about my phone number and if this was a business or residential line. I dialed back the number and got their "customer service" line. I have tried to call the contact numbers listed on their website many times (1-800-344-5000, 1-800-338-6507) and have sat waiting way too long and never get to speak to a human being.

These butt holes keep calling and calling. It's really starting to piss me off.

I got a call from United Consumer asking for a girl that works for me.  I was annoyed because the lady was rude so I decided to google the number she told me to have this girl call.  She told me to have her call 1-800-338-6507.   The company that called me must have already changed their phone number.  It's exactly the same as everyone else has reported excpet for the last 2 numbers have changed.  Interesting!

I bought a stupid Kirby. I hate it! These people are ridiculous. The stupid thing is way over priced and only works half the time! They call way too much. Even when I make a payment on time the idiots will still call and ask me for a payment, and after I tell them I already made it they say oh I'm sorry, ok thank you! They need to check accounts before they start harassing people.

Kirby somehow managed to get the cell phone number *of my mother* and started calling *her*.  Why?  Because my payments are automated and, for whatever reason, one didn't go through, and they couldn't reach me with-in 30 seconds...

I have been repeatedly receiving calls from this number.  Unfortunately, my new cell phone number seems to have previously belonged to someone who ran up some credit card debt.  I received calls from credit card collection departments who removed my number from their list when I asked.  The problem is that the companies seem to be selling the debt to other collection agencies and my number is sold along with the other information, even though it is no longer valid.

The latest is this number.  I have answered 3 times and every time there is nobody on the line.  So I finally called them back and got a toll-free number  (1-800-338-6507)  from the recording.  The company name is United Consumer Financial Services (www.ucfs.net).

I asked for my number to be removed and explained the situation.  So far no calls today, but it will probably just be a matter of time till the next company starts calling. . .

I keep getting these calls, and I have never purchased anything of the sort.  Someone who was assigned my phone number 2 years ago must have, and no matter how many times you tell these people wrong number, they still call..HELLOOO it should dawn on them when they call asking for a man and get a womans voice mail that states her name as well....It's annoying and unfair that I have to suffer the phone calls every day for someone else's credit issues because they were assigned the phone number before I...grrrr.

I bought a kirby as well when not needing one.  I couldn't get them out of the house.  What are the cons. to not paying and giving it back?

These people are crazy, they are worse than loan sharks.  I purchased the Kirby and I liked my cheaper brand vacuum a lot better.  Don't get sucked in to the pathetic sales people that clean your rooms for you and convince you that your house will be 100% cleaner, the thing is so heavy and has way too many gadgets with it.

The vacuum is the pits!!   I was stupid to even buy it!  If you're 1 hour past the time your payment is due they hound you to death until they receive it!!! They call my home and my cell.  I even offered to give them back the crappy, overpriced vacuum and leave me alone!

If you financed a Kirby Vaccum Cleaner....or some other product, and you havent paid by the due date....trust me, these guys will be calling you until you pay
