This is a patient room batch number for EMH  hospital in Elyria, OH.

My friend went to Elyria hospital and called me from there and this number came up. So it is a out going line. so if someone calles you from inside the hospital this number comes up

1-440-8400 called my cell phone  at 1:29am on July 7, 2012. Rolled to voicemail which recorded only a busy signal.

JUST GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER CALLED IT BACK AND SAID SORRY THE NUMBER YOU DIALED COULD NOT BE IDENTIFIED. HOW CREEPY IS THAT. GOT KIDS AND HUSBAND MAKES ONE THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG!

Pretty sure it's a prank call site one of your friends gotta be messing with you

i am getting calls from this number but when i answer it is a fax machine beeping in my ear, and if i let my machine pick it up i get about 3 minutes of a fax trying to come through

thats weird as f*** i got a call just a second ago fromt hat number. i'm creeped the f*** out.

The number shows up when someone calls you from a patient's room.

Got 3 calls today to our cell phone from 440-284-8400 which we now understand is EMH in Elyria. Never gave them our cell phone and feel they are intruding on our privacy!  - Jim C. - 2-27-010

Got a call from this number about 8 AM Saturday morning.. didn't answer.. read the comments from the May 20th 2008 poster... I haven't been to that hospital or dealt with them in many years... they called my cell and very few people have the cell number

I received calls past two days from this number. I called it back from a different phone using id block and got a message, "Thank you for calling EMH (Elyria Memorial Hospital) Healthcare System. The person you are calling is not available." I had a chance to leave a message.

I was just in that hospital for surgery one week ago, so not so mysterious.
Probably a follow-up call or more likely a performance or rating survey.

When you register for surgeries, to be seen in the ER, to have lab work or x-rays- anything, you give contact information. Also anyone trying to contact you from the hospital calling on one of EMH's phones- this is the number that will show up. So it could have been a friend or relative trying to call.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING CALLS FROM MY CRAZY EX HUSBAND FROM THIS NUMBER AND WHEN I TRY TO CALL IT BACK IT SAYS THE NUMBER CAN'T BE IDENTIFIED.  I DON'T THINK IT'S BEEN EMH'S NUMBER FOR YEARS.  MY EX HAS DONE WEIRD STUFF WITH MY CELL PHONES IN THE PAST INCLUDING BUGGING IT AND CLONING IT.  i HAVE GONE THROUGH DOZENS OF NUMBERS TO TRY TO STOP HIM BUT HE ALWAYS FIGURES OUT A WAY TO MENACE VIA THE PHONE.  HE BUYS SOFTWARE ON THE INTERNET THAT ALLOWS HIM TO DO THAT.  I JUST TOOK A SHOT IN THE DARK AND ENTERED THE NUMBER INTO GOOGLE AND THIS POPPED UP.  I AM SHOCKED!  RESPOND TO THIS POST PLEASE AND GIVE ME ALL THE INFO YOU HAVE OR IF HE HAS CALLED YOU AGAIN.  I WOULDN'T GIVE ANYBODY CALLING FROM THAT NUMBER ANY INFO GIVEN THE FACT THAT I HAVE RECEIVED CALLS FROM MY PSYCHO EX HUSBAND FROM IT.  AND I AM NOT JUST THROWING THAT WORD AROUND.  HE REALLY IS A PSYCHOPATH ACCORDING TO KECKLER AND HARE'S CHECKLIST.  HE COMES OFF CHARMING BUT HE IS DECEITFUL AND MANIPULATIVE.  FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION...DON'T TELL HIM ANYTHING!

Got a call on my cell phone at 6:18pm from 4402848400 and didn't answer it. Got a call fom that number again at 6:55 pm and answered this time. It was a female saying she dialed wrong after I asked who it was. She never told me who it was. Why would EMH be doing this? I think they should be notified!

I recently have been at EMH for surgery but dont recall ever giving them my number yet Ive gotten a call from that number at least once a day for 2 weeks straight.

I use to live in Ohio near Elyria, but moved to Tenn. over a year and a 1/2 ago. Only within the last 2 weeks did I start receiving these calls, sometimes during the day, even been getting them at 1am or 2am. No one is there, no answering machine, no nothing. I do not owe them since I never went there.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone - I didn't answer the call, but called back the number from my unlisted landline and got a recording for "RV Spa", to leave a message.  I don't like getting these calls on my cell phone and I believe it was a telemarketingV call.

This guy just called me and asked me if i was at work, then if i was sleepy, and a bunch of other creepy things.

Someone needs to find out who this guy is and stop this s***.

Received a call from 440-284-8400, they said it was EMH a local  hospital. I recognized the number on my caller ID and answered because my wife works for EMH and thought it was her. Her calls sometime show this number on caller ID. The voice said it was an emergency and to press 1 for more info. I  hung up because I knew from a past call it was some sort of scam. As i am writing this they called again, I didn't answer. Any way on further review my screen identified the call as coming from Comp Ventures, whoever they are.  As another person mentioned when you dial this number it has a block on it and you can't reach anyone. The last time they called was Sept 11.

Keep getting a call from this number. When answering, we get a beep tone, similar to the fax tone.
