It is progressive car insurance, if you call it back they claim that they are trying to contact you and to call back the 1-800 number they provide, a bit annoying I think, considering I just hung up with a rep, then this phone # came up 4x right afterwards making that beeping when u answer.

This # 440-395-4631 has been calling and calling on the caller ID all it says is OHIO and it sounds like a fax machine.

Having same problem for 2 day's. Ignoring them also. Won't leave any message. All I get is a beeping noise. The area code is in the Cleveland Ohio area. Call about every 10-15 mins.

This number called five times within 20 minutes or so, from about 7 PM.  I didn't see the calls so didn't answer, wouldn't have answered anyway.  Caller ID says Ohio.  I was surprised to see these complaints here from five or six years ago, same complaint.  

Since January of this year, 2013, I've been getting a rash of spam calls, sometimes three a day.  I bought the Digitone call blocker, and it has really helped a huge amount.  However, I don't know why there has been this huge surge in spam calls.  I wasn't getting this many before.  Yes, I've been on the Do Not Call list for many years now.

I got calls from 440-395-4631 and 719-432-3999 4 times in a row at 5am! It was way too early and I kept ignoring the calls. One of the numbers left a voicemail which was just beeping noise. I got an email from Progressive same day too. I had cancelled my insurance and had a new document to check. I don't understand why they had to call so much they never did before, this is way too weird/spooky.

5 calls in less than 30 minutes which i didn't answer.  some JERK??????? with a lot of nothing to do

Ok over and over again the phone rang, sounded like a fax was trying to come thru.  If it was person attended they would have heard me say - this is not a fax number -  when I tried to call the number back got the information that they do not receive incoming calls.  Technology is great and as I am on the do not call list the seem to think everyone has a fax machine

Called me 5 times in 20 min, I called progressive ins the guy that answered said it must have been a mistake.and that someone must have give them my number as a contact #. Sure this is a bunch of B.S.           STOP IT !!!!!!!!!

Keep calling my hubby's work cell phone.   Just keeps leaving a beep!

It is Progressive's Fax Machine.  They started calling my house after I cancelled two policies.  When I called the 1-800 number, they said it was a reminder notification and made sure the rest of my policies with them were opted out.  The person I spoke with was very nice and took care of it right away.  Received no more calls after that.

Yes, we've gotten about four calls from this number in the past 20 minutes as well as another number in Colorado (this one showing on caller ID as Ohio) and they are all just fax tones, no voice at the other end.

Same as all other posts - repeated calls - robo-fax evidently - someone somewhere must be pretty stupid if they aren't getting it that the #s they're call are not faxes.....we just unplugged the phone!  Also reporting to the National Do Not Call list too and our State Attorney General's offices as well (TX).

Received 4 calls from this number in the past hour.  Progressive Insurance redirected me to 1-800-Progressive. So glad.....I'm already on the national do not call registry and now I'm filing a harrassment claim.

I can confirm that this is a fax from Progressive.  I requested one by accident to my cell and that's where it came from.

440-395-4631 jerks have called my private cell number FIVE times in past five minutes! How in **ll do they get our private cell numbers? Nobody even has this number except a few close friends. This kind of cr*p needs to be ILLEGAL and the Big Brother Government we're presently "enjoying" needs to crack down on this kind of harassment--instead of harassing law-abiding citizens... DON'T GET ME STARTED!

This number 440-395-4631 keeps calling and this is a Business line.  I tried faxing them to tell them they have the wrong number they are calling a Business Land Line and it kicked it back!!  So annoying!!!

I called Progressive, who apologized, said it was an automated fax that was likely entered in error, and that they think it should only happen 5 times. They asked me to call back and tell them if not, and they'd try to take additional steps to fix it.
